Do Your Homework, Go To Jail

John McLean had to do a report on a famous structure for one of his seventh-grade classes at a Baltimore school. He chose the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. His teacher suggested that he contact the Maryland Transportation Authority to find out more about the bridge. Shortly after that, someone from the FBI's Joint Terrorist Task Force showed up at the school to ask some questions of his own. "The FBI guy said, 'All I need to know is, is he a student here?' He said terrorists can impersonate people to get information. I assured him John McLean was a student, and he was doing a paper on the bridge," said the school's headmaster. And that, apparently, was the end of the investigation.
