Wasteful Ways
Domestic spending has grown faster under George Bush than under any other president since Franklin Roosevelt. Stephen Moore, director of fiscal policy studies at the Cato Institute, found that Bush has allowed spending to grow by an average of 10 percent a year after adjusting for inflation. That's more than 10 times the pace under Ronald Reagan and almost three times that under Jimmy Carter.
