Symbian More Popular Than Windows Phone

Nokia's OS is still in sixth place though

Mobile phones running Nokia's Symbian mobile operating system are outselling those running Microsoft's Windows Phone, according to the latest statistics from Gartner.

The research firm's third quarter 2012 numbers show that Nokia's ageing Symbian mobile operating system is still clinging to 2.6 percent of the worldwide mobile market, 0.2 percent higher than Windows Phone's share. Even worse, Samsung'sBada mobile operating system is ahead of both Symbian and Windows Phone in fourth place on the list, with a comfortable three percent market share.
