Tis the Season to be Inoffensive

Each year, Dorothy Glenn puts up Christmas lights at her home in South Shields, Tyne and Wear, England. But this year a local housing official asked her to remove the lights, saying they might be offensive to neighbors who aren't Christian. After media broke the story, a spokesman for the South Tyneside Council apologized and said there was no policy calling for residents to remove Christmas lights.
