Shut Up, Bird!

Anthropologist Sharif Kanaana has spent more than 30 years collecting Palestinian folk tales. He collected them into the book "Speak Bird, Speak Again." Now, the Palestinian Authority has ordered school libraries to remove copies of the book and destroy them. Islamic conservatives have complained that five stories in the book contain references to human excretion or body parts.
