GWB's Sneer of Cold Command
The battle for the George W. Bush statues is on. In San Francisco, a group of "progressives" tears down a statue of the president: "The crowd succeeded in destroying the likeness of their unpopular, un-elected ruler at approximately 11:14 AM Saturday morning," says the press release. "They spent the remainder of the day in close proximity to the gathering peace forces, likely fearful of retribution at the hands of pockets of resistance still loyal to the Bush regime."
[Outraged Bush supporters take note: I believe the statue was actually a simulacrum of fabled San Francisco politician John Burton, with a Bush mask strategically placed.]
Would a statue of the president donated to the people of Iraq get better treatement? If the BushStatue.org project gets off the ground, we may find out.
