A federal judge sentenced former Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputy Christopher Cadman to 21 months in prison after Cadman pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy against rights and one count of filing a false tax return. Prosecutors said Cadman used his position to help a cryptocurrency businessman named Adam Iza by intimidating and threatening one of Iza's rivals. Cadman also failed to report more than $40,000 in income he earned from working for Iza on his tax return. Cadman is one of five deputies who were convicted or pleaded guilty to using their job to further Iza's criminal activities.
