Brickbat: Won't Make the Cut
Under a draft Crown Prosecution Service document in England and Wales, male circumcision could be treated as a possible form of child abuse, placing it in the same category as other "harmful practices" including exorcisms. The proposal has alarmed Jewish and Muslim leaders who say circumcision is an important and generally safe religious tradition.

Interesting that, after all the coddling of Muslims in England, that they’d pass such a law.
Outrage mill's gotta outrage:
I certainly disagree with the apparent need to spell out every last instance in the law, but the choice to pull *male* circumcision out from all the tossing of virgins in volcanoes and binding of concubines' feet so they can't run away is interesting.
Yeah, if your cultural definition of 'honor' includes using ceremonial daggers on fellow humans, expect second glances. As an American wandering in the vast borderless wasteland of libertarianism here in America, I'm not seeing the vital interest of a *draft* CPS document in the UK here, one way or the other.
Just like the guy who drugged and filmed his wife being raped by hundreds of guys being opposed by feminists in France; there are no women in Britain with an opinion on circumcision... or chest binding... one way or the other. Just Jews and Muslims.
They thought it was just the Jews so they were okay with it.

Strongly disagree. There's no "possible" about it.
It's possible the Brits actually regard tooth extraction and orthodontics as a pretty costly, painful, invasive, and protracted medical intervention rather than a social custom or right of passage.
I got no skin in this game.
Here's the skinny from my side: I could foresee that you would say that!
(I've never missed mine. I just lost it one day... can't even remember where I left it. Memory failure, I suppose. I cun't remember a damned thing about ever even having one!)
Somehow I think this right here is relevant:

Religious fanatics are still religious fanatics, even if their cult is old (instead of newer like Scientology). These fanatics will do damage unto others, while thinking and stinking that they are kissing God's Holy Ass, doing shit the Holy Right Way! And when shown the damage that they are doing, they do their worst to keep right on doing shit, instead of modernizing their rituals and beliefs! Kinda like Trump voters!
Brilliant!
I can't wait to see the mostly peaceful Muslims and Jews rioting in the streets side by side, united at last.
Whoever thought this up should get the no-belly peace prize.
"Yeah man. If we can't cut-off fingers for our religion they you can't clip a nail for yours!", sincerely the leftarded.
Well I see no Reason that adults cant have a circumcision, or get their clitoris removed, or get holes poked in various body parts etc
Children/babies though, no fucking way
+1
