Brickbat: Sobering Allegations

In North Dakota, former Cass County Sheriff's Deputy Darin Viken has been charged with six counts of misdemeanor disorderly conduct related to his role as coordinator of the county's 24-7 sobriety program. The program, which can be mandated as a condition of bond or probation for crimes in which drugs or alcohol played a part, requires daily drug and alcohol testing. Viken is accused of harassing women in the program. He was fired in July after the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation began its investigation.

As often as Biden or Newsom institutes a program to help people (OR ELSE) this gives great force to people in charge to abuse those people they are supposed to help. This program is in my hands and if you don't do as I say, you get a bad mark.
Obviously his firing and the hassle of having to relocate to a different police department while collecting a pension is punishment enough. I mean, his "victims" are just druggies.
Of course, I can see the sheriff's point of view. Prohibition was set up to make the right people money, not to harass its victims to the point that harassment gets noticed.
Of course, I can see the sheriff's point of view.
Personally, I would've found Christine Blasey Ford and E. Jean Carroll's accusations to be *more* credible if they were part of a rehab program. I mean, they still would've been patently ridiculous but, you know, they may have actually thought they happened.
"Blow on this, baby."
"I need you to pee on this stick, like after your first job and before your first abortion."
"I haven't had an abortion."
"Alright I'll cross out the "baby-murdering" in front of "crack whore", then, happy?"
They must be all out of crime in North Dakota if ND-CBI gets involved over a single deputy and
sexualharassment in the rehab program. No, wait... I mean that like... uh... well, yeah... I guess.
