Brickbat: Spiked

Prosecutors in Florida have charged John Trevor Steele, a physical education teacher at Jennings Middle School, with felony child abuse. A 12-year-old student playing with a volleyball accidentally struck Steele in the chin with it. "In response, Steele began yelling at the victim, moved toward her, placed his foot behind her, and used his left arm to shove her onto her back as he leaned over the victim and continued to yell," according to a press release from the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.

PE majors are not known for their brilliance.
Wtf happened? No idea from this writing nightmare. I suppose if I really cared, I would get real details elsewhere.
I suppose if I really cared, I would read more of your posts! Twat a WASTE of time! Go write BETTER than Reason; write for Reason! I'm QUITE SURE that Your PervFected Brilliance would take you WAAAAY far!
Do you recall the awesome enchanter named “Tim”, in “Monty Python and the Search for the Holy Grail”? The one who could “summon fire without flint or tinder”? Well, you remind me of Tim… You are an enchanter who can summon persuasion without facts or logic!
So I discussed your awesome talents with some dear personal friends on the Reason staff… Accordingly…
Reason staff has asked me to convey the following message to you:
Hi Fantastically Talented Author:
Obviously, you are a silver-tongued orator, and you also know how to translate your spectacular talents to the written word! We at Reason have need for writers like you, who have near-magical persuasive powers, without having to write at great, tedious length, or resorting to boring facts and citations.
At Reason, we pay above-market-band salaries to permanent staff, or above-market-band per-word-based fees to freelancers, at your choice. To both permanent staff, and to free-lancers, we provide excellent health, dental, and vision benefits. We also provide FREE unlimited access to nubile young groupies, although we do firmly stipulate that persuasion, not coercion, MUST be applied when taking advantage of said nubile young groupies.
Please send your resume, and another sample of your writings, along with your salary or fee demands, to ReasonNeedsBrilliantlyPersuasiveWriters@Reason.com .
Thank You! -Reason Staff
It seemed pretty straightforward to me: The student kicked a volleyball, accidentally hitting the PE teacher. The PE teacher deliberately tripped the girl by putting one of his feet behind her feet and then shoving her backwards while screaming at her like a Karen with a declined credit card, which put the student on the ground. He then continued to scream at her like the little bitch that he is.
The ol' slew-foot.
Let that be a lesson, kids. Don't trigger the roid rage. Leave that to the wife.
I think the girl's father and a couple of his friends would be a better way to handle this than "felony child abuse".

Well... we shouldn't be encouraging faculty to lay hands on students, and certainly not for retaliatory purposes. But since this is a brickbat, which is more or less indistinguishable from the narrative peddlers that talk about "mostly peaceful rioting," it's almost entirely one-sided.
Meaning I'm now automatically curious as to how "accidental" the instigating action was. Especially given the... economic demographics of the student body.
If MSM hacks like Chuck here say it's accidental, that's usually reason to suspect the exact opposite.
But since this is a response from AT the AuthorShitarian TotalShitarian, NO amount of hateful PUNISHMENT (which gives AT a YUUUUGE punishment boner in his or her dick or clit) is EVER enough!
"Especially given the... economic demographics of the student body."
Wrong skin color and other demographics!!!! MORE reason why NO amount of hateful PUNISHMENT is EVER enough!
What color is the subjects this time? I'm sure you know.
Because skin-color means EVERYTHING to you.
Shit does? Citation please! Udder than Your PervFectly SNOT-recently-calibrated Magic Tinfoil Mind-Reading, RAGING Hate-Hat! (I didn't look shit up. For all I know, their skin color could be green.)
Then how do you know it's the, "Wrong skin color"?
Because AT the AuthorShitarian TotalShitarian is a total power-pig of an asshole! If'n ye don't believe me, go see AT's comments in the below-referred-to source:
For those who give a shit, be shit know, AT is an UDDER ASSHOLE who is FAR more worried about the “property rights” of a pond-owner, if I should (as a thirsting-to-death one) fetch a few cups of water to boil and drink, thereby killing a few amoebas and water-bears etc. … Compared to INFIDELS WHO KILL FRESHLY FARTILIZED SACRED EGG SMELLS!!! Fuck off and die, fascist asshole!!!

You arrogant nonsensical twit! I know arguing with you is like arguing with a brick wall, but who knows, more sensible people just MIGHT take a clue from the below:
Case A: Theoretical (COULDA-WOULDA-SHOULDA) harm to some fartilized HUMAN egg smells, caused by NOT implanting the tested-and-genetically defective said “Sacred” fartilized HUMAN egg smells, which are known to, at BEST case, if “successfully” brought to term, would suffer and die in hours or days at the most. There ARE these cases, you know! AND THE KICKER IS, THE FUCKING EGG SMELL IS FROZEN, OUTSIDE THE HUMAN BODY, AND SHOWS ZERO SIGNS OF LIFE, ABILITY TO FEEL PAIN, OR SENTIENCE!!!!
Case B: A thirsty human wants to drink pond water, ’cause he has no other water source. So, not liking diseases either, he BOILS the water first, KILLING innocent, motile, swimming, pain-feeling paramecia and water bears!!!
Now WHO has done more harm, and who, if anyone, should be PUNISHED?
AND WHO IS AN ARROGANT PUNISHMENT-LUSTING ASSHOLE MICRO-MANAGING, POWER-PIG AUTHORITARIAN?!?!?
Low income students typically have more behavioral issues. This has been studied for years. This school is a very low-income school. That, coupled with an obviously biased source forces us to ask questions like this.
But leave it to the Marxists to go straight for the race card, right?
Black and brown-skinned kids have lower average incomes. So leave shit to racists to find some OTHER reasons and treasons (other than skin color) to justify their "punishment boners"! AT the AuthorShitarian TotalShitarian can no doubt find one or two cases of black and brown-skinned cat-and-dog thieves, too, to justify PUNISHING them ALL!!! AND, AT the AuthorShitarian TotalShitarian asks, is there PUNISHMENT VIDEOS for MEEE and My Fiends to enjoy?!?!?! Hunh, hunh, is there, is there any video?!?!? (Slobber, slobber!!!)
"White-skinned bums are impossible."
"Wrong skin color" ... SQRLSY the racist.
And a topping of self-projection to boot.
Black and brown-skinned kids have lower average incomes.
Black and brown-skinned kids don't have incomes at all. At least, not until they're in their late teens - and even then, it's usually part time. Not one that you measure on average.
Have you considered the fact that you're the real racist in this conversation?
Sorry dude, prima facie adult male vs. 12-yr.-old girl physical confrontation with a straight up punitive action, I'm... [hands lock up and tremble]... with... Crackers Boy.
Unless her fist was right behind the ball and he had to take a minute to spit his teeth out before dropping her with an O soto gari, it was completely uncalled for and, even then, I would prefer a good, firm arm lock for the march to the Vice Principal's office.
I don't know whether she actually assaulted her or not. I freely admit that Reason is an absolute shitshow when it comes to burying the lede but, again as indicated, I don't see a 12 yr. old girl doing the kind of violence to an adult male with a volleyball that in any way justified the response. I do know he assaulted her and I do know she's a minor. If they're abusing him, he shouldn't have to put up with it but it's the same thing I tell my kids when one is antagonizing the other and the other hauls off and "solves the problem on their own". I can't try the cases and crimes that nobody saw.
it was completely uncalled for
I already said as much.
I freely admit that Reason is an absolute shitshow when it comes to burying the lede
Language.
But your point, that's the reason the question demands asking. When we see mayhem covered up by obviously-biased jouRnALiSts, and sold to us as "mostly peaceful," then said media no longer gets the benefit of the doubt when it comes to objectivity. Double-true for Chaz here.
So, was it an accident? Either way, it doesn't deserve retaliation - but the answer does determine how we regard her for the instigating action. And because Charlie is the one who rEpoRteD it, we CAN'T give her the benefit of the doubt, because Charlie is the one in her corner.
This is why journalistic credibility is important. It affects more than just the writer and the reader.

Wait... stop right there. Who's "the victim" in this scenario?
