Presidential Punctuation
Plus: Kamala Harris' closing argument, the FTC's harassment of Musk-owned Twitter, and more

What's in an apostrophe, anyway? Last night, President Joe Biden called all of Donald Trump's supporters "garbage." Or did he?
The much-debated gaffe came during a Zoom call between Biden and the progressive group Voto Latino. The president's alleged insult of all Trump supporters came as he was criticizing comedian Tony Hinchcliffe for calling Puerto Rico a "floating island of garbage" during Trump's Madison Square Garden rally held this past weekend.
A clip of the president's remarks seems to record a rambling Biden saying "The only garbage I see out there is his supporters…his…his demonization of Latinos is unconscionable, and it's un-American."
WATCH: President Joe Biden: "The only garbage I see floating out there is [Trump] supporters." pic.twitter.com/9teSUOytqC
— Steve Guest (@SteveGuest) October 30, 2024
Reporters' immediate coverage of the comments also records Biden saying "supporters."
Pres. Biden tonight:
"Donald Trump has no character. He doesn't give a damn about the Latino community…just the other day, a speaker at his rally called Puerto Rico a floating island of garbage?…The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters."
— Gabe Gutierrez (@gabegutierrez) October 29, 2024
Immediately, conservative journalists and Trump himself seized on the comments as an inappropriate demonization of Republican voters. They were quick to draw parallels to Hillary Clinton's infamous "deplorables" insult from the 2016 campaign trail.
In reaction, the White House released a transcript that recorded Biden as saying "supporter's" singular, not "supporters" plural. The president's "garbage" barb was directed only at Hinchcliffe, and not Trump voters writ large, they argued.
Biden tonight in condemning the joke about Puerto Rico.
"The only garbage I see floating out there is his [supporters/supporter's]–his demonization of Latinos is unconscionable, and it's un-American."
The WH says Biden was talking about the comedian—"supporter's"

Biden's true remarks quickly became the ultimate partisan Rorschach test.
Liberal commenters insisted that Biden had obviously said "supporter's." As evidence, they pointed to the succeeding sentence in which Biden said that "his demonization of Latinos is unconscionable." The singular "his" is proof that Biden's "supporter's" comment was also a singular reference to Hinchcliffe.
Seems very clear from context that Biden was trying to call Hinchecliffe "garbage" - that he was saying "supporter's" possessive, not "supporters" plural
— Zack Beauchamp (@zackbeauchamp) October 30, 2024
Conservatives were not buying this at all, deriding Biden and the White House's hurried explanations as a rushed spin that asks you to not believe your lying eyes and ears.
Bullshit. He called half of you garbage.
Either because he meant it, or because he's senile.
Or both. https://t.co/8objkJSvfu— Tim Carney (@TPCarney) October 30, 2024
As a dedicated nonvoter, I'm happy to accept that either interpretation of Biden's remarks is plausible. From just listening to the clip, and not the subsequent arguments about it, it does in fact sound like the president is referring to all Trump supporters. But the White House's subsequent explanation isn't totally unbelievable either.
My main takeaway from the controversy is that I can't wait for this election to be over. The polls are incredibly close and emotions are running high. In this context, everything feels like it matters a lot, including an elderly, rambling Biden's precise placement of apostrophes.
The closer we get to Election Day, the more people are going to zero in on every insult, real or perceived, and every gaffe, actual or just alleged. Once we know who the next president will be, perhaps the nation's political debate can slightly refocus to more substantive issues of policy and the size and scope of government. (That's my naive hope anyway.)
Closing Arguments: Gliding over these petty controversies last night, or at least attempting to do so, was Vice President Kamala Harris herself.
Just outside the White House, where inside communications staffers were hurriedly copy editing Biden, Harris held a rally where she made her closing pitch to America's undecided voters.
The Democratic nominee did her best to strike a unifying nonpartisan note while also amping up the alleged stakes of this election.
"This election is more than a choice between two parties and two different candidates. It is a choice about whether we have a country rooted in freedom for every American. Or one ruled by chaos and division," said Harris, who made heavy references to the chaos of January 6, while repeating some stock biography about her middle-class upbringing.
Harris sounded hawkish notes on foreign policy and the border, promising to pass a border security bill and guarantee America has "the strongest, most lethal fighting force in the world."
On the economy, she promised to expand Medicare benefits and tax credits for families, crack down on "price gouging," and, interestingly enough, work to liberalize housing regulations.
"We have heard excuses about why America can't build enough housing. Enough with the excuses. I'm going to cut red tape and work with the private sector and local governments to speed up building and get it done," said Harris.
A politicized attack on the website formerly known as Twitter? Earlier this week, the Republican-controlled House Judiciary Committee released a report detailing the Federal Trade Commission's (FTC) allegedly politically motivated crackdown on Twitter immediately after Elon Musk bought the social media site (that's since been renamed X).
For years prior to Musk's acquisition of the site, the FTC, under its progressive chairwoman Lina Khan, had been hashing out a consent decree with the company that would require Twitter to turn over certain requested information.

Read it here: https://t.co/51rdcb9Fuy pic.twitter.com/Q3aOLehHfM
— House Judiciary GOP ???????????????????????? (@JudiciaryGOP) October 28, 2024
The Judiciary Committee found that FTC rushed to finalize this consent decree, citing Musk's pending takeover as the reason for the hurry. In the first three months after Musk bought Twitter, the FTC sent the company 350 demands for information and documents.
Many of these demanded documents fell outside the scope of the consent decree, says the Judiciary Committee's report, which accuses the Biden-Harris administration of "weaponizing" the FTC against Musk.
Scenes from D.C.: About a mile from Harris' White House rally, another intense race was playing out. That would of course be the 37th Annual 17th Street High Heel Race in D.C.'s historic gay neighborhood of DuPont Circle.

Also not decent Liz.
I wondered why all the sucking up to joe was happening.
It’s Britches. Should we expect anything more than mediocre?
No one outside DC and the Reason "cuties" crowd fucking cares about a high heal race of transvestites in DC...seriously I care more about a 5K road race in Utica NY more. Why are you even covering this?
Thanks, you saved me from writing the same thing. They're trying to hard to be clever and covering stuff nobody cares about.
What's in an apostrophe anyway? Last night, President Joe Biden called all of Donald Trump's supporters "garbage." Or did he?
Yes, he fucking did.
I like to take a step back and look at the bigger picture. We’re being led by someone so incoherent that nobody’s really sure if he called half the electorate garbage or not (presumably the same half the threatened to air strike) and the people running the country in his place decided to hang it all on the smallest punctuation mark they could find and then call it a day.
One more step back: Why is Joe Biden even talking to Voto Latino at all? Is he running for office?
Even with his dementia, he knows Kamala will be a total disaster, so he steps on her toes as often as he can. Plus he’s pretty pissed off he got tossed aside.
Biden should be thrilled to have Kamala elected. As horrible as the Biden regime has been, it hasn’t reached the bottom. Biden doesn’t need to run faster than the lion, his steaming pile of shit just needs to be less stinky than Kamala.
How exactly has Biden's regime been horrible? He fixed the economy after Trump blew it up in 2020. The Federal Reserve under Biden was able to stop all the inflation that Trump caused. He shattered the power of the woke left in the Democratic party.
Anyone who has an investment portfolio can just look at it and notice that it's been going up steadily under Biden. The economy is great. Unemployment is really low. Wokeness is retreating, after growing in power under Trump.
I only have two major criticisms of Biden. One is that his spending plan in his first year was so big that it made Trump's inflation even worse, but the Fed corrected that. Also, he could have torn into wokeness even harder than he did.
Yeah, dude. Trump blew it up. There was nothing else going on in 2020.
I'm no fan on Trump's handling of covid stuff. But he had very little control over the batshit insane spending or governors shutting down economic activity.

He's trying to position himself for his run in 2028.
I’m sure he’s crazy enough to think that’s possible..
If the Democrats nominate him, not a single Democratic voter will notice- or care- that he is already dead.
If Democrat standards keep on this trajectory he just might be qualified as Waltz's insurance policy.
I've been speaking this English for 40 some years now. Although Biden and I are both fluent in the Scranton dialect of heynabonics (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7sMI2jb16eo), even in Scranton when referring to a singular person we say "a" or "that" before the subject. Like The only garbage I see is that demented president's lame excuse.
Biden’s statement was vague and muddled, which means he obviously didn’t call half the country “garbage”. This is unlike Trump’s very clear and unambiguous statement that neo-nazis “should be condemned totally”, which meant he was obviously praising neo-nazis.
You don’t understand, Moonrocks. It’s dog whistles upon dog whistles.

Old and busted: Republicans pounce!
New hotness: Republicans seize!
All that seizing will make us forget about her epic speech. I was expecting headlines comparing her to JFK and MLK this morning, and all I got was an explanation of why Joe's apostrophe wasn't immediately obvious.
Joe stabbed her in the back again. Such a bitter vengeful old bastard.

Biden referred to Trump rally attendees as garbage. Part of a smear campaign that thankfully does not involve Biden shitting himself as he typically does. Though Biden will still shit his pants.

One of the questions for clearance is support for foreign or terrorist group. She openly supports Hamas, so not sure how she has a clearance.

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/ohio-mayor-sounds-alarm-after-village-rocked-by-thousands-of-african-illegal-immigrants-unsustainable/ar-AA1t8QVO
LOCKLAND, Ohio -- The mayor of a small village near Cincinnati says he needs help from the federal government after a surge of illegal immigration primarily from Mauritania that nearly exceeds the local population and that he says is "unsustainable."
"Our county officials estimate that we have around 3,000 of those that have come to a village of 3,420 residents. And our complaint is, if the federal government is going to have an open borders policy, with that they need to have a policy directing these immigrants to communities that can absorb that kind of population increase," Lockland Mayor Mark Mason told Fox News Digital.
They send them to small towns that don’t have enough resources to fight the government.
Frequently, they send them where it is pretty cheap to pay off the local leadership.
Or the local politicians own plenty of rental properties.
Well this was bound to happen. Cincinnati's proximity to Mauritania meant Mauritanian migrants were going to wander into the areas around Cincinnati...
I thought The Mauritanian was actually one of Matt Damon’s better films.
It’s a Cincy suburb. Looks like it’s home to a pallet supply company and two food products companies. There’s also a GE Aerospace facility adjacent to the village.
Clear evidence that the illegals arrived organically and holistically.
Colorado Secretary of State posted spreadsheet with voting system passwords

The Colorado Secretary of State’s Office inadvertently posted a spreadsheet to its website with a hidden tab that included voting system passwords.
In a statement to 9NEWS, a spokesperson for the Colorado Secretary of State’s Office said that “the Department is working to remedy this situation where necessary.”
“The Department took immediate action as soon as it was aware of this and informed the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), which closely monitors and protects the county’s essential security infrastructure,” the spokesperson said.
On Tuesday morning, Colorado Republican Party Vice Chair Hope Scheppelman shared the hidden tab discovery in a mass email, along with an affidavit from someone who claims they had downloaded the Excel file from the Colorado Secretary of State’s website and discovered the hidden tab by simply clicking “unhide.” The name on the affidavit was blacked out in the Republican Party email.

I doubt she has the intelligence to even form a thought, certainly not "If only you fuckers...." She is given a few talking points and that is it. She has been told her whole life she just has to say what other folks tell her and no one will question her...diversity at its best. perhaps the stupidest person to ever run for any office in America...

The economy continues to grow at an impressive clip.
Wsj link. Talks about 2.8% Gdp growth (obamas new normal), doesn't seem to recognize 30% of that growth by most estimates is government spending and increased government jobs.
Keynsian nonsense again. GDP is a stupid metric. Govt borrows money or has it printed and spends it..that is not economic growth.
About the whole MSG kerfuffle. I do not freaking care. I do not care about a tasteless joke. I do not care about Biden taking great offense to a tasteless joke. I think it is insane that this is the thing the media is consumed with. Everyone involved in this can go to straight to Hell for trying to make this important.
The Harris crew has nothing else to offer.
It seems desperate. It's something they've tried again and again: try to paint Trump as racist by pointing to something someone vaguely associated with him said.
It’s all they have and they're losing. Only the fraud factor will save them now. Watch Kamala become the first candidate to top 100 million votes.
The issue with the fraud factor is that it’s obvious Kamala lacks any enthusiasm whatsoever from yard signs to crowd sizes to media treatment. The joy, if there ever was any joy, is long gone. The only thing that points toward a potential steal are the polls from the usual suspects.
I remember another political candidate who advocated Strength Through Joy.
+1 I said this previously, if he'd said New Jersey or Florida or Philadelphia (has anybody seen FOE?) or San Francisco, no one would've batted an eye.
This Puerto Rico thing has gotten a bigger reaction and more coverage from the media than either assassination attempts.
That joke killed!
awesome reply!
The feds and the state of California will bail out homeowners who built their homes on a landside-prone hillside to the tune of $42 million.
Was the land even zoned for landslides?
$42 million in California is like 2 or 3 houses.
For the homeless maybe.
Am I missing something or is the state notorious for catching fire, suffering earthquakes, incurring drought, and rolling brown outs *simultaneously* trying to guilt or lecture people about their lack of disaster awareness or preparedness?
Just make it illegal for land to slide.
Jesus Christ all this noise over 1 shitty joke.
The Democrats are trying to win an election they were about to lose over that joke, so obviously they're gonna harp on it until Tuesday or Wednesday or Thursday (whenever it is they're forced to stop voting).

Puerto Ricans are oddly proud of the garbage barge they live on.
With some truth to it.

Dammit! Reason logged me out while I was typing a comment, which I now will have to recreate from memory…
I’m more inclined to believe that Tim Walz meant to say that he is friends with some “school shooting victims” and not “school shooters” and he simply misspoke than I am to believe that Biden somehow meant the singular possessive and not the plural.
I’ve no doubt at all that Biden considers Trump voters “garbage” and let it slip out in his senile rage.
Again, he threatened to airstrike his domestic political opposition and the mentality is perfectly in line with his predecessor*s'* notions of 'deplorables' and 'bitter clingers'.
But Reason and the media are going to pretend like it's a mystery or equivocal as to whether Joe "Vaccine Mandate/Crime Bill" Biden would punish law-abiding citizens that he doesn't like.
Mika goes over the edge...How does this even make sense? What power does Trump hold over Bezos that would account for this?
--------------
"It doesn't feel like a mistake to me, I'll take that as my words," co-host [MSNBC host Mika] Brzezinski quickly chimed in. "I know you call it a mistake, a big mistake."
"Why?" a seemingly startled [former Washington Post journalist Bob] Woodward replied.
"Well, the statement that Jeff Bezos put out conflicts with the statement the Washington Post put out," she replied. "It seems to me that Jeff Bezos is bending to Trump."
"It may not be a deal for something tangible right now but he's bending to Trump," she added.
It’s inconceivable to Mika that a successful billionaire might see that Kamala is not fit to be endorsed.
Her support of wealth taxes isn't exactly a billionaires friend.
As above and once again, there is a longstanding symptom of TDS that conflates Trump the person with the will of half or more of the electorate (and not even a will he necessarily or directly represents).
They can't fathom that a significant portion of Bezos employees and customers are Conservative or Republican and that Bezos might be aware of that fact.
How????
"He got the Washington Post and Jeff Bezos, who's supposedly a powerful, brilliant billionaire. He got Bezos to back down, the head of Amazon. Runs the Washington Post, owns it … He forced them to not endorse. That's pretty scary, guys," Brzezinski said.
These people are seeing the possibility of their 2020 color revolution completely being obliterated 4 years later, and it's causing them to have psychotic breaks. They think Trump is this powerful overlord figure who can manipulate everyone to do his bidding, despite all the actual evidence to the contrary, as well as their made-up bullshit such as him directly ordering the GOP to kill the immigration bill to help him in 2024.
These people have had Hitler on the brain for 80 years, which is why they claim that anyone that isn't part of the progressive marxist cult is a fascist.
If I didn't know better, I'd assume Trump dumped her years ago or something. She has lost her mind.
And if Trump wins the WH, he might want to SERIOUSLY examine what press outlets get WH access. Quite a few have shown that they are little more than propaganda mills and should be treated as such.
OR follow Tim Pool's idea and have Michael Malice as his Press Secretary to just shit on the reporters.
If I didn’t know better, I’d assume Trump dumped her years ago or something. She has lost her mind.
She wanted him to grab her by the pussy and she had to settle for Scarborough. No wonder she's so manic.
"This election is more than a choice between two parties and two different candidates. It is a choice about whether we have a country rooted in freedom for every American. Or one ruled by chaos and division," said Harris, who made heavy references to the chaos of January 6, while repeating some stock biography about her middle-class upbringing.
These fucksticks have been running the same line since 2004, when Obama got anointed by the press as the Chosen One, and it's always the same afterwards--they proceed to produce even more chaos and division themselves. Even their rhetoric is a load of crap, because they don't mean "unity" in the sense that we as Americans should be united as Americans, they mean it in the Maoist unity-criticism-unity sense, which is to grow their stupid commie cult.
Never take anything these people say at face value. It's all rhetorical manipulation designed to convince you to accept their dumb political theology.
Plus, it turns out half of us are considered to be garbage.
Excuse me! You may be garbage, but *I* [raises chin] am a bitter clinger.
You cling to your guns and Bible too.
A lot of people around here need scuba tanks to cling to their guns.
And I'm deplorable and irredeemable!
I'm garbage.
That's honestly more of a misdirection. It's just Grampy randomly yelling, and let's be real, we already know that's what they believe, anyway. That's ultimately my point about this completely insincere line of crap they're constantly running about "unity," which the Bush wing goes along with by trying to argue the bullshit line that resisting the left is strengthening our foreign adversaries.
Ya man, who wants to unite with garbage?
Yuck.
But the White House's subsequent explanation isn't totally unbelievable either.
How is possible to be this gullible and still be alive?
No idea, but somehow Britches (among with Welch, Sullum, Boehm, and Binion) manages it.
"In reaction, the White House released a transcript that recorded Biden as saying "supporter's" singular, not "supporters" plural."
You can't be serious.
I can’t wait for Biden to walk out of the White House nude, and everyone will say how nice his new suit looks.
Female Secret Service agents have already had that pleasure.
I read this in John McEnroe's voice.
That apostrophe was on the line.
I think they think they’re serious, and don’t call me Shirley.
WHO sounds pandemic alarm as world’s deadliest infection at highest level since records began
https://www.msn.com/en-us/health/other/who-sounds-pandemic-alarm-as-world-s-deadliest-infection-at-highest-level-since-records-began/ar-AA1tcfp5
Tuberculosis cases are at a record high, according to a new report from the World Health Organization (WHO).
The global health body revealed that approximately 8.2 million people were newly diagnosed with TB in 2023, marking the highest number recorded since WHO began monitoring the disease in 1995.
This represents a significant increase from the 7.5 million cases reported in 2022.
The alarming figures have propelled TB back to its position as the leading infectious disease killer in 2023, surpassing COVID-19.
Also related, from the AP a few months back:
US tuberculosis cases were at the highest level in a decade in 2023
NEW YORK (AP) — The number of U.S. tuberculosis cases in 2023 were the highest in a decade, according to a new government report.
Forty states reported an increase in TB, and rates were up among all age groups, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said Thursday. More than 9,600 cases were reported, a 16% increase from 2022 and the highest since 2013.
Cases declined sharply at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, but have been rising since.
Most U.S. TB cases are diagnosed in people born in other countries. Experts say the 2023 number is in part a combination of a surge in TB cases internationally — the World Health Organization said TB was behind only COVID-19 in infectious fatal diseases worldwide in 2022. And there are also increases in migration and post-pandemic international travel.
Pay no mind to the guy coughing in the food truck.
We obviously need to import all the tuberculosis refugees.
Also...
An estimated 10.6 million people fell ill with tuberculosis (TB) in 2021, an increase of 4.5% from 2020, and 1.6 million people died from TB (including 187 000 among HIV positive people), according to the World Health Organization’s 2022 Global TB Report.
Given global population numbers, don't really care.
Hey, the good news is that a lot of these people are already doing the Doc Holliday treatment and going to Arizona to "get the cure," thanks to that slag traitor Mayorkas.
Those married to the consumption of the open borders-welfare state narrative won’t like this.
Well, they will demand that the government take more money from us to pay for their TB hospitalizations, which might be the very reason they came here in the first place.
Covid even cured tuberculosis? Is there anything Covid couldn't cure?
Masks working for airborne viruses?
The flu literally disappeared during Covid. The Science was completely baffled.
Democrats already doing their part to fuck with the voting process:
Misleading text messages from ‘voter mobilization’ group create confusion in key swing states
By Majlie de Puy Kamp and Casey Tolan, CNN
Published 9:28 PM EDT, Tue October 29, 2024
Thousands of voters in Pennsylvania received a confusing text message this weekend claiming they already voted in the 2024 presidential election.
“Records show you voted,” the message said, directing people to an official website with information about polling places and early on-demand voting in the state.
The organization behind the texts, AllVote, said the messages contained errors and should have told voters they had cast their ballots in 2022 and directed them to a link with information about voting in 2024. However, “in 2022” was left out, causing confusion. A spokesperson said the misleading text was followed by an apology message, though those who had replied “STOP” or marked the first message as spam may not have received it.
It’s the latest case of misleading or incorrect election-related information being disseminated by the group, which has been flagged by officials from across the country – including in the key swing states of Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, North Carolina and Arizona – as a scam...
AllVote spokesperson Charlotte Clymer told CNN the organization estimates “several thousand registered voters were affected by our error” – referring to the text messages received by Pennsylvania voters over the weekend.
The texts, Clymer said, were an “unfortunate copy-editing error by staff working long hours,” and the organization has made its “approval process substantially more rigorous to ensure this doesn’t happen again.”
Little is known about the group, its founders or financial backers. A super PAC by the same name registered with the FEC earlier this month but hasn’t yet reported any money raised or spent. Clymer declined to provide information about its funding.
Howie Stanger, who is listed as AllVote’s treasurer on the FEC filings, did not respond to CNN’s request for comment. Stanger is the founder of Pocketbook Strategies, which aims to support “progressive organizations who want to dream big,” according to LinkedIn.
If the name "Charlotte Clymer" sounds familiar, it's because that's actually Charles Clymer, a hulking manbeast tranny with bad skin and yellow teeth that dresses like a 1950s grandma. This is the guy who was a "male feminist" that trooned out about 10 years ago after he began getting slagged for using his politics as cover for his generally shitty behavior against women.
Also, what his org pulled here sure sounds a lot like what got Douglass Mackey thrown in jail.
It is (D)ifferent this time = Clymer vs Mackey
What’s notable here is that they targeted swing states with Democratic governors, probably knowing that none of those people would file charges against them if the tactic came back to bite them.
Nevada is also a potential get for Trump as well, but the Governor there is a Republican.
NV is lost, the NV state supreme court ruled undated ballots can be received for up to 3 days, port-election. It was always a long shot.
They’re going for PA, so that the PA supreme court steps in with a ruling that makes it easier to harvest Team D votes. They want to preserve (D)emocracy, you see.
Sometimes the only way to save (D)emocracy is to disenfranchise the voters.
3 days post election without even a post mark.
Still less time than in Illinois where they must be accepted for two weeks without a postmark.
do you have any idea how long it would take to postmark three suitcases of ballots?
It takes time to generate all those fake ballots for Harris. They need the extra time, too, to know how many they need to produce without it being TOO obvious.
Was about to ask when these people would be prosecuted as Mackey was.
Two Tier legal system until proven otherwise.
What happened was
Drooler JoePOTUS Biden spoke his true mind and heart, much in the same way a person who is drunk speaks their true mind and heart. He spoke for many millions of Harris supporters in communicating his utter contempt for half the electorate. It really was quite revealing.Ask yourselves: What do people do with garbage? Because that is what POTUS Biden, VP Harris plans to do with supporters of Pres Trump...just throw them away.
They're not saying "boo," they're saying "boo-urns!"
Let’s go Brandon!
I was saying "boo".
Obama called his opponent's supporters "bitter clingers" ("And it's not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy toward people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.").
Hillary Clinton called Trump voters "deplorables" and "irredeemable" ("You know, to just be grossly generalistic, you could put half of Trump's supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables. (Laughter/applause) Right? (Laughter/applause) They're racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamophobic – you name it. And unfortunately, there are people like that. And he has lifted them up. He has given voice to their websites that used to only have 11,000 people – now have 11 million. He tweets and retweets their offensive hateful mean-spirited rhetoric. Now, some of those folks – they are irredeemable, but thankfully, they are not America.")
So Biden calling Trump voters "garbage" is just more of the same.
Remember when Dark Brandon did that speech about Mega Maga against a blood red background with uniformed military officers. Remember how the media said it was the greatest speech ever? Remember when not one Democrat tried to distance themselves from his hateful rhetoric? Yeah. Me neither.
Nearly all looters nabbed in Pinellas County, FL, after recent hurricanes were in US illegally
Another 196 people were caught under suspicious circumstances, questioned by deputies but then released for lack of probable cause. Of those, 163 were found to be in the U.S. illegally.
https://justthenews.com/nation/crime/nearly-all-looters-nabbed-pinellas-county-fl-after-recent-hurricanes-were-us-illegally
According to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office at a press conference Thursday, 41 of the 45 alleged looters out of more than 100 people rounded up on a variety of other charges, including armed robbery, burglary, loitering, grant theft, vandalism and trespassing charges following the two deadly storms are in the U.S. illegally, Fox News said in a report.
Doing the looting Americans won't do.
Chuckle. Tough first sentence. Reads as if the hurricanes were here illegally. Is it the comma after FL.?
wrt Israel using the weaponry provided by the US....the only problem here is Israel aren't using the weaponry faster and killing more Judeocidal hamas and hezball-less terrorists.

All she needs to say is “I’m not Trump” and leave it at that.
Dude, that statement of mine is saying that her stated policies are all shit, that she’s a shit speaker, that she’s a shit interviewer, and the only thing she has going for her is that she’s not Trump. So her best option would be to shut the fuck up because everytime she opens her mouth, shit falls out. And you interpret that as support for Democrats? As always I can't tell if you're mendacious or braindead.
>>you interpret that as support
friendly English lesson:
All she needs to say is ... reads as support.
Well that's just stupid. Especially when taken into context.
Then be clearer in your context. They’re your words.
It was the first post from you. What context?
Where did you say her policies were shit in those 14 words?
When I write "If someone put a gun to my head and forced me to vote, I’d vote for Trump. But nobody is threatening to kill me if I don’t vote, so I choose not to" you see "I'm a lifelong Democrats who votes several times in each election" so it's not at all surprising that you took that other comment as an endorsement.
I don’t find those words in that post or the thread that post was in.
So I’ll ask again. Where did you say her policies were shit in those 14 words?
Aren't you screaming context?
We should always pay attention to movie actors .
‘He will divide, he will insult, he will find new ways to be more un-American than he already has been, and we, the people, will get nothing but more anger.’
Was he talking about Walz, Obama, or Biden here?
Also, why is this has-been nanny-fucker calling anyone "anti-American," when his side's been spazzing out for years about anyone who doesn't want to bend the knee to internationalist cabals and actually likes this country?
Great point. Him and douggie have a lot in common.
His side? Dude, he governed California as a Republican.
Just like Romney, the Cheney’s, Paul Ryan, Bill Kristol, John Bolton and thousands of other neo-cons, all now on team Sarc?
Show us the list of RINOs you'd like to line up against the wall.
Just take your list of Trumpistas you'd like to line up against the wall, and subtract them from a list of Republicans.
Seriously though, it's funny how you guys are the ones shooting at Trump and attacking and killing his supporters, but somehow MAGA are supposed to be the real baddies even though they aren't doing anything but dying at your hands.
Sure, except that I’m not on a team you fucking moron. That and, as predicted, when you see me say “If someone put a gun to my head and forced me to vote, I’d vote for Trump. But nobody is threatening to kill me if I don’t vote, so I choose not to” the words swim in front of your eyes and your brain can’t register them. Because when what I say contradicts your imagination, your imagination always wins.
Where’s your list of Republicans In Name Only who are disloyal to Trump who you’d like to see murdered? You’ve posted it several times already. You need to post it again, and add Arnold to it. Seriously.
You are obviously on that team. Who do you imagine you’re tricking.
Also, I have no list and never have, you lying fuck. And you know that. It doesn’t even make sense, why the hell would I want to make one of your neocon pals some sort of martyr?
Drunkard logic at its finest.
You posted a long list of former Bush Republicans who failed to show loyalty to Trump and instead endorsed Harris. Many times. What a shameless liar you are. And as I predicted you saw a blur. Brain can't register the words. They just swam around so you moved on.
It’s a list of neocons like yourself and Pluggo with nothing to do with any sort of loyalty, twerp.
WAIT! Are you talking about me posting proof that you Democrats are now Team Bush, by showing that Bush's entire Iraq war cabinet has endorsed Kammy?
Fucking idiot. You know what the point of that was.

That’s the whole fucking Iraq war right there, Sarckles, and you're on their team now
Should I start calling you warpig?
You need to add Arnold to the list of RINOs.
I say "If someone put a gun to my head and forced me to vote, I’d vote for Trump. But nobody is threatening to kill me if I don’t vote, so I choose not to."
ML reads "I'm a lifelong Democrat who has already voted for Harris by mail. Twice."
ML has clearly stated neocons multiple times now and sarc can't deal, keeps changing to RINOs. Because sarc is a neocon. Who joined the democrats.
Sarc is a neocon warpig, and a violent Democrat who has threatened other posters here with violence.
Neocons are RINOs because true Republicans are loyal to Trump. Duh. Fucking idiots.
Keep calling me a Democrat, and be sure to include me saying "If someone put a gun to my head and forced me to vote, I’d vote for Trump. But nobody is threatening to kill me if I don’t vote, so I choose not to."
Nah, you'll never do that. Those words don't exist. Lying sacks of shit.
I seem to remember you being the one squawking that neocons like David French and Mark Milley were “true, principled conservatives”.
But please don’t get violent and threaten me for disagreeing, Sarckles.
Neocons are RINOs because true Republicans are loyal to Trump. Duh. Fucking idiot.
Neocons were being called RINOs long before Trump ever became a politician. It has nothing to do with Trump, and everything to do with Bush Republicans letting the left continue to move the Overton window for decades while complaining any time their base wanted to push back against it.
Nature abhors a vacuum, and Trump simply saw a dearth of leadership in the party that was desired by the party’s voters, and snatched up the mantle. That the Bush Republicans/neocons were completely shunted out of the party in less than a decade was entirely due to their own decades-long record of policy and cultural failures, and their inability to actually represent their voters.
Sarc reads yet again neocon, then claims neocons are RINOs again. Tries to deflect to Trump loyalty requirements. Ignores neocons joined in endorsing democrats.
Sarc is a brilliant mind.
I think the brilliance is just from too much Goldschalger.
You are clearly on a team.
You are clearly drinking at work.
Projecting again, Sarc? Put down the 40 and back away from the internet today.
Is projection your new favorite past time?

I have links for everything, Sarckles.
If you didn’t have whiskeybrain you would have remembered that. And cruelty to animals is still violence.
What a humorless boor you are. I pity your coworkers and family. I won't say friends though because I can't imagine you having any.
Speak for yourself, inebriated one.
Say, Sarckles, do you think I’m as bad as… lets say… an alcoholic wife beater whose ex-wife hates him and whose daughter won’t talk to him? The child of divorced parents who didn’t want him, so he was shuttled back and forth between them? A guy who thinks cruelty to animals and kids is funny? A guy who has nothing to live for outside of angrily trolling Trump supporters on the internet?
That bad?
Worse.
Wow! Nobody can be that bad.
We can't all have imaginary coworkers we show our posts to and have them all say how brilliant the posts are sarc.
Posting links makes you look like a fool.

You're the only one who has seen that list of Bush-era warmongers (proclaimed "war criminals" by most all Democrats at the time) now aligned with Harris as a "list of people to murder" and not as a recrimination that Harris is currying the favor of warmongers--deep-staters who want nothing more than the deep-state to continue unabated.
anyone in the Bush administration? Figurtively of course. neocons, country club old "wasps", new "wasps" (let you think about that one),
His side? Dude, he governed California as a Republican.
Yeah, 20 years ago. A lot of neocons and Bush Republicans are Democrats now. That's the whole point of the political realignment that's been going on since 2008.
Democrats, or Republicans who are not loyal to Trump?
If they’re voting for Democrats, that makes them Democrats. Colin Powell even admitted his own registration was a troll and that he wasn’t actually a Republican after 2008. It's the same deal with anyone who calls themselves "Independent," but consistently supports one party when they vote.
If they’re voting for Democrats, that makes them Democrats
Yeaaaaaaah I don’t think so. I think that they’re just so fed up and disgusted with Trump that they want anyone else, even if that person is a Democrat.
It’s the same deal with anyone who calls themselves “Independent,” but consistently supports one party when they vote.
That I can agree with, and the stats bear out. At least 3/4 of those who claim to be independent are just too embarrassed to say they're part of either Party. Can't really blame them. Then there are some people who really are independent. Joe Rogan for example. But they're rare.
And what about someone on the other side who despises the current DNC?
Trump cultist. Obviously.
Yeaaaaaaah I don’t think so. I think that they’re just so fed up and disgusted with Trump that they want anyone else, even if that person is a Democrat.
The same people who said that an anodyne suit like Glenn Youngkin was a KKK member and right wing extremist, or that Ron DeSantis was wrong to push back against DEI and troon bullshit?
Again, this isn't about Trump. He's just an avatar. It's about the broader political realignments taking place that now pit revolutionaries/internationalists against counter-revolutionaries/nationalists. The overall policy lines might not be fully completed yet, but the new teams are now established. That's how you get the Cheneys and glowies like Denver Riggleman stumping for Democrats in swing districts and helping their get out the vote efforts, while liberal figures like Tulsi, Matt Taibbi, Joe Rogan, Elon Musk, and Glenn Greenwald are supposedly radical right-wingers now.
I'm independent/libertarian. But the thought of Kamala Harris (like Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden before her) and the policies/platform of the DNC are so much anathema to me that I will vote for Trump yet again if there's even the slightest chance of him winning and keeping Harris from becoming President.
Trump is not a person I'd like to hang around with, work with, or anything else. His one redeeming quality is the chance to prevent a Harris presidency (like he prevented a H. Clinton presidency).
I seem to remember him telling us to “fuck our freedoms” during Covid, so fuck him and fuck who that fucker fucking votes for.

Devices used in ballot box arsons had 'Free Gaza' markings, sources say
The incident is believed to be connected to two others in Washington and Oregon.
Ballot boxes in Oregon and Washington were set on fire with incendiary devices early Monday in what authorities believe are connected incidents, police said.
The devices used in the arson incidents carried markings with the expression "Free Gaza," two sources familiar with the ongoing investigation told ABC News.
The ballot box fires, which occurred near the Oregon-Washington border, are also believed to be connected to a third ballot box incident that occurred earlier this month in Vancouver, Washington, police said.
The sources said the incendiary device used in the first arson, back on Oct. 8, had "Free Gaza" and "Free Palestine" on it. The two subsequent devices, set off in the early hours of Monday morning in Vancouver, Washington and nearby Portland, Oregon, carried the slogan "Free Gaza."

BREAKING: A "printing error" in Colorado has made mail-in ballots unscannable in 3 different counties. These errors could potentially affect up to 24,000 registered voters in those areas.
That isn’t the only problem–someone at the Secretary of State's office put the passwords for Colorado’s voting machines out on the clearnet for months.
Whoops. No harm no foul, right?
those areas' voters better go vote twice.
why do these 'errors' only ever go one way?
Prestigious high school tanks in rankings after implementing DEI
©X / Google / tjhsst.fcps,edu
A prestigious public high school frequently ranked America's best has slumped in rankings after implementing a DEI-focused admissions policy. Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology fell to number 14 on the latest US News and World Report Rankings.
It held the top spot for years, but dipped to third place in 2023 and saw its ranking freefall in 2024, prompting the principal Dr. Ann Bonitatibus to stand down earlier this month. Worried parents have said that the alarming drop is the result of an 'equity'-focused admissions policy, which prioritizes equality of outcome rather than opportunity. The policy aims to increase the number of black and Latino children at the school by axing standard tests in favor of a review process. Critics have said it has lowered academic standards and led to a reduction in Asian-American students.
Asra Nomani, a former Thomas Jefferson parent, had previously hailed the departure of Bonitatibus as being a 'win' for the school. The journalist and author has been a vocal critic of the school leadership, the decline in the school's rankings and the reduction in the number of National Merit semifinalists. Speaking with DailyMail.com, she said: 'The decline of Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology from No. 1 to No. 14 is emblematic of the dumbing down of America by activist school boards and administrators from northern Virginia to Massachusetts, Michigan and beyond, weaponizing the once well-intended concept of ‘equity’ to destroy academic excellence, merit and the American Dream.'
Nomani, a first generation American-Indian Muslim, added: 'To restore TJ’s excellence, it’s time to move from DEI—diversity, equity and inclusion—to MEI—merit, excellence, and intelligence, restoring values of equality, fairness and achievement. 'This is about affirming diversity while re-committing to high standards that reward hard work and intellectual ambition, so TJ—and America—can once again be a beacon of excellence. ' Srilekha Palle, whose child attends the school, told Fox News : 'What is a big deal if it falls down to 100, 1,000?'
'If you have that kind of attitude, then what are we teaching our kids? I think it is purely a reflection on leadership changes and leadership failure.' Glenn Miller, whose son graduated from TJ two years ago, spoke with Fairfax Times and criticized the board for the change in policy. He said: 'It hurts the county. It hurts the reputation of the county. It hurts the county as a place that attracts people to move here.'
Oh goodie, another "lean in" no-talent harridan who implemented a DEI policy in the wake of Fentanyl Floyd's overdose.

NEW YORK - The Municipality of Toa Alta has agreed to a settlement with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) to address environmental and public health risks at its landfill in Puerto Rico. The settlement, announced today, requires the Municipality of Toa Alta to deal with the contaminated liquid, known as leachate, in the southeast portion of the landfill and to pay a $50,000 civil penalty for its past violations. Prior actions are addressing other risks posed by the landfill
"This settlement will protect people by requiring that the contaminated liquid under the landfill be properly managed. This is a major milestone in our efforts with the residents to address the long-standing problems at the Toa Alta landfill," said Regional Administrator Lisa F. Garcia. "The community has helped shape EPA and DNER’s work to address the unacceptable risks that have been posed by this landfill and we look forward to getting input on this proposed settlement."

The one that did the most over the last ten decades to uproot Freedom for all under the guise of ensuring freedom for special groups and – not knowing when to stop – advancing special privileges for those groups long after their equal rights had been firmly established.

I question what nonvoters understand at all. knock yourself out with the virtue, I guess?
There’s a lot of nonvoters who just stay out of the loop. They don’t pay attention and don’t care.
It’s the people who are insanely dialed in, very political, and then proudly announce they are non-voters that perplex me.
Probably better if sister Christian doesn't vote. His time has not come.

In case anyone was unclear about whether Drag and LGBTQIA+/Pride was about love and inclusion and respecting all genders or just a bunch of socially maladjusted men explicitly making a clowns of themselves in order to mock women… using the same joke… for 37 years.
Read that and I have to say that that I’m not convinced that the 19th century black face minstrel shows and female impersonators were 100% racist and misogynist. The popularity of these shows actually reveals, I think, some tolerance on the part of the culture of the time. As noted the female impersonators were known to be what we now call LGBTQ but they made a living being that. I’m old enough to remember when Aunt Jemima was a trusted marketing character and Liberace was a rock star. And Amos and Andy were beloved characters until they weren’t anymore. This is not to say that racism and misogyny weren’t present. I grew up with that too. But the shit is always more complicated than AI will ultimately write it. So we’ve traded 19th century female impersonators for men beating up women in officially sanctioned sports and white men being denied college admissions and employment in favor of unqualified people of a different skin color and purported gender. You can repackage this crap any way you want but it’s still the same old shit.
Read that and I have to say that that I’m not convinced that the 19th century black face minstrel shows and female impersonators were 100% racist and misogynist.
I didn’t say they were. But what AI misses in nuance and context it’s going to get right in irrefutable fact and the the fact is, Drag and LGBTQIA+/Pride inclusiveness is, at best, a projection or favorable retcon.
At some point, once the cart full of apples is covered in mold, it’s a bit immaterial as to whether one moldy apple spoiled the whole thing or whether most of the apples were moldy and rotten at their core and a few good apples just happened to be on the same cart.
To the point, the further the "Drag Movement" or art form became identifiable and self-identifying, the further it/we got from fringe content of minstrel shows to, as you demonstrate; men beating up women for trophies and convincing kids to mutilate themselves.
Am i the only one who simply does not care about name calling, and zingers, and bad taste jokes about puerto ricans, and labeling the other side as deplorable? Who cares?
All anyone should care about is the policy making plans of the candidate's administration. but no, female-brain has taken over and everyone thinks they're voting for prom king.
I think the Republican plan is to try and neutralize Hinchcliffe's joke with Biden's non-joke.
It's all idiotic but then that's where we are. I'm still surprised Hinchcliffe's "carving watermelons for Halloween" joke didn't piss more people off.
Joe Biden
@JoeBiden
Earlier today I referred to the hateful rhetoric about Puerto Rico spewed by Trump's supporter at his Madison Square Garden rally as garbage—which is the only word I can think of to describe it. His demonization of Latinos is unconscionable. That's all I meant to say. The comments at that rally don't reflect who we are as a nation.
Good grief. Fucking nonsense.

This is a lie. WATCH this transcribed and slowed-down version of Joe Biden’s comments.
Joe Biden clearly called 100 million Americans “garbage” and is now lying about it.
This is what they think of you:

For some reason, I don’t believe your non-vote is principled.
Seriously, this just means he's a socialist shit lib. There is no universe where a bona fide libertarian sees kamala as the choice more aligned with his values. Not possible.
translate: I'm running to the booth to vote Harris
Going to the doctor's office today, there were a series of campaign signs. The original signs were "Independents for Harris." Now there are smaller signs placed next to those signs, but in the same style. The first sign I saw was "Idiots for Harris." Then I saw "Illegal Aliens for Harris." Then I saw "Human Traffickers for Harris."
I'm assuming these signs are illegal and will be forcibly taken down, but the "Human Traffickers for Harris" sign got a good chuckle out of me.
Diddy for Harris.
Ghost of Epstein for Harris.
ChemJeffrey Epstein for Harris.
Did Republicans pounce or seize?
It's funny how people are parsing Biden's words, as if he is capable of understanding what he says. Remember, we still haven't settled what "Listen, we finally beat Medicare" meant. Can we stop having that deduction made from our paychecks now?
Teachers, underpaid, underappreciated, etc. People always crying about teachers... Now, I have teachers in my family, and I know there are plenty of good teachers. I just don't hold the profession up on a pedestal like many seem to...education majors are some of the very worst students eking their way through the some of the easiest courses.
Anyway, I'm shocked...shocked!
https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/over-200-unqualified-texas-educators-had-someone-else-take-their-exam-in-cheating-scandal/ar-AA1tcQHB
Five people have been charged in Texas, accused of organizing and participating in an illegal cheating scheme that certified more than 200 unqualified teachers and saw the plot’s “kingpin” rake in more than $1 million, prosecutors announced.
In the scheme, individuals would typically pay $2,500 to have a proxy take certification tests for them at two testing centers in Houston. The scandal involved bribing a testing proctor to allow test applicants and their proxy to switch places, Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg announced in a press conference Monday.
Overall, more than 400 fraudulent exams were taken and over 200 teachers were falsely certified on a variety of exams and are now scattered across the state. The scheme was traced back to May 2020, during the Covid pandemic.
The plot was allegedly orchestrated by Vincent Grayson, 57, the head boys basketball coach at Booker T. Washington High School within the Houston Independent School District, prosecutors said.
He, along with Tywana Gilford Mason, 51; Nicholas Newton, 35; Darian Nikole Wilhite, 22; and LaShonda Roberts, 39, have been charged with two felony counts each of engaging in organized criminal activity.
On Tuesday, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton announced the grand jury indictments against the five.
But, but, but...It is for the children!
It IS! You have to understand how the exam cheating works, so you can catch the students if they were ever to attempt such a thing . . .
Most elementary teachers are not very smart. Their major is easy, they are told how to teach kids reading and writing (most are not very good at math or science)...and still they whine, complain, but I will say in my mid 20's, picking up a teacher was easy. They were raging drinkers but after a few times out, it was like dating an idiot. I'm not surprised so many female teachers are banging their students..they really are immature and have a raging inferiority complex.
Texas actually pays teachers pretty well. The property taxes are so high there that they can afford to give decent salaries.
But Jeff tells is teachers are so well educated and experts in every field. We should listen to them over parents.
hopefully they go after them at least as hard as the went after these two
And hopefully is gets at least as much mainstream media press
This is what happens when you build a [Na]tional So[zi]alist nation.
Does the history of the falling of the U.S.[S]ocialist.R not teach anyone anything??? When Gov-Guns are EVERYWHERE that nation spends it's time fighting over the control of those Gov-Guns *because* they are in EVERYTHING.
And the human stain of politics repeats itself over and over and over and over and over again ... because mostly the Democrats (FDR in particular) didn't seem to think the very F'En definition of a USA was important.

Chinese student to face criminal charges for voting in Michigan. Ballot will apparently count
https://www.detroitnews.com/story/news/politics/elections/2024/10/30/chinese-university-of-michigan-college-student-voted-presidential-election-michigan-china-benson/75936701007/
Ann Arbor — A University of Michigan student who is from China and not a U.S. citizen allegedly voted Sunday in Ann Arbor and is being charged with two crimes, six days before a pivotal presidential election.
The filing of the charges was revealed Wednesday in a statement from Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson's office and the Washtenaw County Prosecutor's office. The press release didn't identify the student but described him only as "a non-U.S. citizen."
The 19-year-old individual from China was legally present in the United States but not a citizen, which meant he couldn't legally cast a ballot, according to information from the Michigan Secretary of State's office. He registered to vote on Sunday using his UM student identification and other documentation establishing residency in Ann Arbor, he signed a document identifying himself as a U.S. citizen and his ballot was entered into a tabulator, according to the Secretary of State's office.
The ballot was cast at an early voting site at the University of Michigan Museum of Art on State Street, according to the Ann Arbor city administrator.
Later, the UM student voter contacted the local clerk's office, asking if he could somehow get his ballot back, according to Benson's office.
The student's ballot is expected to count in the upcoming election — although it was illegally cast — because there is no way for election officials to retrieve it once it's been put through a tabulator, according to two sources familiar with Michigan election laws. The setup is meant to prevent ballots from being tracked back to an individual voter.
A legitimate case of illegal voting, with information from reliable sources, posted without embellishment, exaggeration, or claims that one proves a million did it. Well done!
This is the problem with states that do “same day” or last minute registration. On the one hand, normal citizens don’t carry a passport and birth certificate, so if you require one of those you’ll end up turning away large number of citizens when they try to vote. But if you don’t require any proof, people can do what this guy did.
Require registration more than 30 days ahead so there’s plenty of time to find and send the correct paperwork, and also to fix errors if the clerk notices a mistake.
And/or allow a sealed provisional ballot with a default of “don’t count it” and burden on the voter to provide proof of eligibility within 24 hours.
