Officials in both cities cited threats to protest and disrupt the tournament...
it is with a heavy heart that i must announce that the officials are at it again.
European Youth Ultimate Championships
I can't believe they Israel from the whole thing!
Afraid all the new 'asylum seekers' will burn your cities to the ground?
But mostly peaceful burning.
Or rape their pre-teen children.
Now now! Some of them will only jack off on the pre-teen victims while others do the actual raping.
As long as they feel bad about it after, we're cool.
Racist!
Is it racist or anti-racist? Somebody ask Kendi.
Check skin color.
So we are bowing to a certain culture's bigotry and discriminating against Jews to pacify them. How has it come to this?
Only bigots object to Israel's conduct in Gaza.
Only bigots object to Harris for President.
But Hamas' conduct gets a pass?
Absolutely not. That’s retarded binary thinking where criticism of one side is interpreted as defense of the other. Stop being a retard.
You only criticize one side. Ever.
Your lack of action/commentary is either support for one side regardless of the event or just an asshole troll.
Likely both.
No, you ignore me when I criticize the other side and pretend those comments don’t exist, just like you pretend Reason is never critical of Democrats. You see what you want to see.
What Hamas did was terrible. I’m not defending that. However Israel’s response has been terrible as well. There are no good guys in that situation.
There are never any good guys in a war. And yes, this is a war.
Israel is trying to hold back, but this is a war and there are never any good guys in a war. So what matters is who started the war. And it was clearly and demonstrably Hamas.
The Israeli motto is "Never Again". And for seventy six years Palestinian terrorists have vowed genocide against the Jews. So while there are no good guys in a war, eventually enough is enough you just gotta side with those trying to quell the genocidal terrorists.
And for seventy six years Palestinian terrorists have vowed genocide against the Jews.
Why? Because they exist, or because of how they've treated the Palestinian people? Both? I can tell you that there's plenty of the latter. That is not meant to justify terrorism. It's meant to say that Israel is not blameless. People don't volunteer to wear suicide vests for nothing. People joined al-Qaeda over the treatment of Palestinians. To just brush aside history and blame everything on bigotry is completely dishonest.
They are upset that the Israelis are much more effective at war than they are and beat back their intended subjugation of Israeli Jews to dhimmitude or genocide.
They’re upset because of Israel’s apartheid system, being forced to live on ever shrinking pieces of land, having their property systematically stolen or destroyed, not being allowed to be recognized state with the autonomy that comes with it, and that’s just off the top of my head. There’s a lot more to the story than simple bigotry.
There are in an unfortunate state of limbo because their leaders have unrealistic goals, and their former sovereign states (Egypt and Jordan) for not want to have anything to do with them. Calling Israel an "apartheid" state is calumny, much like casual charges of "fascism". It shows more that the person making the accusation do not know or do not care what the word really means.
Calling Israel an “apartheid” state is calumny
Apartheid means segregating people based upon ethnicity or culture, which is literally what Israel does with the Palestinians. Even if you don’t believe it’s true, lots of people do. And perception is reality. Again I’m not defending terrorism, I’m disagreeing with the assertion that all the hate towards Israel is simple bigotry. Some of that hate is well earned.
"Even if you don’t believe it’s true, lots of people do. And perception is reality."
That is one of the more ungrounded from reality statements I have ever seen a putative adult make. My nose now hurts from the drink I sneezed up through it when I read that inanity.
True.
It's like sarc isn't aware of the 2 million Palestinian citizens of Israel.
I can never tell if he's stupid or if it is just an act.
"There are never any good guys in a war. And yes, this is a war..."
You.
Are.
Full.
Of.
Adolescent.
Shit.
FOAD, asshole.
What, realistically, could Hamas have done that was less terrible? The list is ... potentially everything.
What, realistically, could Israel have done that was less terrible? Unless you consider suicide "reasonable", that list is pretty close to the null set.
Until those lists get a lot closer together, I'm going to have difficulty with your 'shared culpability' arguments.
According to Palestinian authorities almost 40,000 people have been killed, mostly civilians. Even if the true number is half that it still makes Israel’s claims of minimizing civilian deaths laughable. Especially when you consider that the IDF has lost just over 300 soldiers. This isn’t war, it’s a massacre. Then there’s the wanton destruction of property, razing neighborhoods and orchards, destroying aid and killing aid workers, none of which is necessary.
These guys make Putin's soldiers look friendly by comparison.
Again, I’m not defending Hamas or condoning terrorism. I’m saying that the hatred directed at Israel right now is based upon a lot more than simple bigotry.
What a BS line of reasoning.
When your adversary knowingly breaks the 'laws of war' by hiding in and amongst a civilian population, that in no way gives them a get out of jail free card. What are you, 6?
Is anything that you said based on any facts? The IDF is 'wantonly' destroying property and razing neighborhoods? Pre-warning the civilian population of an attack to give them time to leave would 100% prove you are coming up with falsehoods out of your backside, would it not?
The responsibility is on the folks hiding in schools and hospitals. Period, end of sentence, full stop.
If Israel wanted to actually massacre the Gazans (sort of like Hamas did on 10/7 to Jews if you conveniently forgot), not a blade of grass would be standing in northern Gaza.
Trying to give Hamas this as an out is doing precisely what you claim otherwise, defending Hamas.
And no, the hatred directed at Israel, unlike any other country being held to these kinds of standards when it is trying to defends its people from literal massacre, is entirely bigotry, thanks.
Technically, everyone is a civilian who has ever taken a hostage, bombed a civilain target or otherwise killed anyone in the name of Hamas, Hezbollah, Islamic Jihad, and every other "resistance" group in fighting in the name of the "indigenous" Arab population (of a "nation" whose name was literally created by a Roman occupation and derived from the name of a Greek tribe as retribution for an attempted rebellion by the indigenous Jewish population more than 400 years before the Arabs moved into the area).
Ever since Arafat and the PLO started using children and women (including those who were pregnant or carrying infants in their arms) as suicide bombers as well as loading explosives into ambulances and with Hamas continuing the practices by stockpiling Iranian-made rockets in schools (until the "apartheid" conditions necessary to stem the flow of military-grade ordnance into the hands of those "civilians" were imposed), even determining actual "non-combatants" has been a fraught process.
Thanks to outrage by the Western Left, the most effective weapon remaining available to Hamas is to exacerbate the martyrdom of the "civilians" they're claiming to govern (but have denied any new elections to for almost two decades now) and not even pretending to protect. The more pressure is brought to bear on Netanyahu from outside Israeli borders, the more motivation that Hamas has to have fresh bodies to photograph, and the more resolute the Zionist hard-liners will dig in and demand greater devastation from their elected representatives.
But the subject is about an Israeli team participating in a sporting event and being prevented from doing so under threat of violence.
Is Europe. They are regressing to the historical norms of holocausts and pogroms.
The EU has long been deep into the leftist playbook of "dealing with" Islamist terrorism by pre-emptively capitulating and hoping that one of the most illiberal forces on the planet doesn't think to ask for anything more when it's clear they can have anything for the asking.
Wasn't that long ago that the Netherlands forced Ayana Hrsi Ali to move out of an apartment block because the threats against her made by Islamic fundamentalists were "unfairly" endangering her neighbors and local law enforcement wasn't about to try to prevent large-scale and public attacks from taking place on their watch.

como dice pussy in Flemish?
Anyone notice that it's always on Israel to "fix" things? It's like telling Charles Lindbergh that he has to apologize to Hauptmann, drop all charges and make nice instead of telling Hauptmann to surrender and return the Lindbergh baby.
Euro antisemitism has a very long (and sorry) history.
Oh, we have enough Americans that share that evil sentiment, and we import more every year.
I suppose it's a step up from capturing them all once they arrive, putting them on a train, and gassing them to death.
But I suspect we're not far from that repeated history in the Western World at this point, now that the Muslims have conquered Europe and established militias, at the behest of Marxist leaders (who protect the Muslims and persecute anyone that objects to them even slightly) who are trying to bring about the West's complete downfall.
"Hitler and his minions are bunkered down in Berlin, surrounded by a million civilians. We can't get at them, Mr. President, without harming civilians. So, let's call off the Allied bombings."
