We desperately need new emission control systems to muzzle meddling senseless rules-and-droll-drool-emitting politicians, bureaucrats, bureaurats, and bureaubrats! Or would it be better to bake them all in wood or coal-fired ovens?
Ew, no. Way too greasy and full of toxins.
Oh, wait. You said "bake them in", not "use them as fuel for". I guess with enough bleach you could clean out the ovens afterward...
Well, $600,000 is a small price to pay for absolutely no measurable benefit.
I've been telling you people this about New York-style pizza for years.
I've been hearing about it for at least a year or two. I wonder if this is some new deadline in the same old story, or some new phase of it.
New York City is done. Let's just give it to Canada.
About 130 Big Apple businesses will be affected by the new rule, the city said.
All this, for a mere 130 businesses; most of them mom and pop shops. Yay the earth is saved I guess.
Oh, wait, this is New York. My bad. What's the new dominant language I should be speaking now that they've replaced all their citizens with illegals?
Small businesses are as intolerable to left authoritarians as churches.
If they wanted to be free of the laws of NYC they should have been undocumented immigrants.
Their grandparents probably were.
Doubtful
Oh no! Freer places to get overrated school cafeteria quality pizza in New York? How will the world ever recover ...
Sure, the regulations may be asinine eco-theater but I struggle to have sympathy for anyone who stays in NYC.
I appreciate everyone who stays in left authoritarian shitholes rather than contaminating the rest of the world.
How sad the denizens of the Big Apple are getting what they vote for…Anyway,..
Well, some of them are. I'm really not a fan of the idea that you deserve whatever comes of what your neighbors voted for.
Next year's regulation will be to require customers to purchase and self-install a "methane capture device" along with nearly all fast food and any "sit down" restaurants serving cuisines which tend to heavily use ingredients like beans, lentils, and other legumes or starches.
They believe that the City is entrenched enough as a one-party jurisdiction that the new ordinance will be titled "The Just Stick it in Your Ass Act"
It will be like the draft/selective service. Voluntarily applied equally in the abstract but never actually applied or tested in reality (a.k.a. DADT) because, if it were, women would generally have to admit to passing gas.
Madness.
