Lindy CEO: A.I. Might Be 'the Biggest Change in Human History'
"People are comparing A.I. to smartphones or the internet. I think it's much closer to the invention of fire or the wheel," says Flo Crivello.

Flo Crivello is the founder and CEO of Lindy, a software company that has created an executive assistant powered by artificial intelligence (A.I.). Lindy can take care of your calendar, perform basic email correspondence, book travel, and take notes during meetings. The long-run goal is to automate as much work as possible and free up time for tasks that only humans can do.
In April, Reason's Natalie Dowzicky interviewed Crivello for a video about how A.I. will change the way we work.
Q: You've described Lindy as creating a "one-time app that then gets thrown away." What do you mean by that?
A: When you ask Lindy to do something, she actually writes a little piece of code to perform the task for you. So, for example, if you say, "Hey, help me find 30 minutes with Bob, next week," she's going to write a piece of code: "I'm going to look at your calendar, I'm going to pull availabilities, I'll compile them in an email, I'm going to send them to Bob, and I will wait for his reply." So all of that is a mini piece of code.
I always compare it to the Industrial Revolution. Before the Industrial Revolution, certain goods like cups or pens were very expensive. And after the revolution, these goods became so cheap that we started to have single-use versions of them. We have red Solo cups and Bic pens. They're just so cheap that you don't even feel the need to refill a pen. It's just cheaper to buy a new one than to replace the ink.
Here it's the same thing. Historically, code has been very expensive. With the A.I. cognitive revolution, code is becoming so cheap that it can be disposable in a single use. It costs on the order of $0.01 to build an application. And so effectively you're going to live in a world where bespoke mini applications are built for every little use case you have throughout your day.
Q: In what specific ways is A.I. already changing the workplace?
A: It's funny, because everybody's like, "Oh, robots are stealing our jobs," and I'm like, "No, humans have been doing robot jobs." I think it's tragic that we're having humans perform such basic tasks all day. I think human capabilities should be reserved for high-value things that only humans can do. If a machine can do it, then the machine should do it. You should just spend your entire day in flow state and do whatever you do best. And then a machine should take care of all the logistical work around that.
Q: Will A.I. replace many jobs in the U.S.?
A: People mistakenly believe that there is a fixed amount of work to be performed in the economy. The reality of it is that human needs and wants are infinite. People always want more. Today we live like kings. We actually live like kings. I think the lifestyle that you and I live is better than the lifestyle of Louis XVI. And we still want more. So there is an infinite need for work and value.
Change is scary. I think we are about to see maybe the biggest change in human history. That sounds like hyperbole, but I really believe that. People are comparing A.I. to smartphones or the internet. I think it's much closer to the invention of fire or the wheel. I think it's going to be a significant change and I think it's going to happen in our lifetimes.

The race to master AI is between US and China. The question is: Which one do you want to 'win' that race?
I think we have abundant examples of how China deploys technology to oppress people. See Uyghurs, Hong Kong.
Great article, Mike. I appreciate your work, I’m now creating over $35,000 dollars each month simply by doing a simple job online! I do know You currently making a lot of greenbacks online from $28,000 dollars, its simple online operating jobs.

Thoughts on Russia:
1) One upside of these moments of chaos solely because neither of the Tribes has figured out how to make this about them yet. I've seen a lot of trial balloons in the Twitter-sphere where people try to use this story to get digs in at the Republicans or Democrats, but so far people are scratching their head.
2) This couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of assholes. This is what happens when you run your country with a bunch of strongmen.
3) Speaking of AI: If I were the United States, I would be pumping out "speaches" by Putin by the handful- supporting Prigozhin and also supporting the defense minister. The goal at this point would be to ensure that whomever ultimately wins (I'm betting on Russian leadership, since 30,000 mercenaries is what the Russian Country eats as an amuse-bouche in military conflicts) lives with the taint that Putin isn't really in control or supporting them.
The Best opportunities To Earn $62,000/Month. We all spend a lot of time on social media every day – Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, and the list goes on. If you’re used to getting a lot of likes or comments, or if you’re great at motivating others through your posts, you might want to consider turning this into a profession. It appears unbelievable but you won't forgive yourself if you do not check it...

Events going on in Russia make me thankful that we have a president who is steady, has surrounded himself with competent people in the NSC, Defense Dept and Intelligence community…and who doesn’t run our foreign policy by tweet.
Well, that is certainly a take.
I am impressed by exactly how much of a take that is, honestly. Wow.

Regarding your point No. 2 ...
One of my fav books when I was a kid was Isaac Asimov's Foundation trilogy, especially how he kept writing the Foundation into corners which had only one logical outcome. One of those was when the Foundation free lancers were bribing their way up the command hierarchy, trying to convince the Emperor that the genius general, who was defeating the Foundation over and over, was actually trying to carve out his own little empire. It turned out to be wholly unnecessary. In fact, the general's downfall was being too successful.
* A strong Emperor will only tolerate weak generals.
* A weak Emperor encourages strong generals who seek to replace him and fight among themselves.
* A strong general under a strong Emperor is a direct competitor.
In this case, the strong general was in fact as loyal as they come, but the strong Emperor could not afford to trust him or take the chance, and had to get rid of him before he got too successful and became an unbeatable threat. There is a real possibility that a loyal strong general will become more ambitious as he becomes more powerful, because power corrupts.
It plays out all the time. I noticed it reading history, I've noticed it in real life afterwards. Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Xi, Truman/Macarthur, Nixon, Bush/Cheney, Obama/Biden. Biden/wokies, why should Putin be any different?
Correct- this is basically the history of Rome, post Caesar.
Right, I'd forgotten them. Probably another seed for Asimov.
Aaaaaaaaand it's done.

So, to sum up this thread, here are the relevant points:
1) Prigozhin has done 0% of the things required for a coup.
2) This is a mutiny.
3) Mutinies can trigger civil wars, but this happens only rarely.
4) Nothing indicates it will happen here.
5) Most mutinies end peacefully.

This has been my sense as well. And it is the sort of thing that happens with mercenaries and strongmen. It is generally why stable nations don't tend to rely on either.
We've had mercenaries running Iraq and Afghanistan for a decade.
Our strongmen simply rob us blind to pay them.
The transgressions we continue putting up with are disgraceful.
He said 'stable nations'. The US hasn't been stable for a while now.
Tough to find any nation that's stable these days.

Man. Let's be real here for a second. No shitposting.
Consider January 6th. Consider the *reaction* to January 6th.
Now consider what the caterer did. That was an *armed uprising*, a military column driving on Moscow. Those were *real* tanks.
Which country handled it better?
If an entire pro-Trump state national guard had mobilized and steamed toward Washington DC in Abrams M1A1s, can we REALLY be sure US elites would have handled that with equal finesse? Be honest here.
To my mind, Russia looks fairly stable. It is a country at war, facing a legitimately dangerous situation - an armed mutiny - and there were *zero* cracks in the state apparatus for Prigozhin to exploit. Nor did Russian civilians lose their cool.
Don't underestimate Russia.
The reprisals will follow in secret. Expect Wagner chiefs to be disappeared.
I’m sure you can find a trespass charge somewhere to get them causing an insurrection. Maybe some feet on desk.

A nuclear war would trigger Obama’s executive order 13603, suspending the US Constitution.
This 10-page document govinfo.gov/content/pkg/FR… is a blueprint for a federal takeover of the economy that would dwarf any tyranny we’ve seen within these borders since King George.
It would seize control of:
•All commodities and products that are capable of being ingested by either human beings or animals”
•“All forms of energy”
•“All usable water from all sources”
•“Health resources – drugs, biological products, medical devices, materials, facilities, health supplies, services and equipment”
•Forced labor ( or “induction” as the executive order delicately refers to military conscription)
•Moreover, federal officials would “issue regulations to prioritize and allocate resources.”
•Each government bureaucracy “shall act as necessary and appropriate.”
Per Forbes: “Obama’s 13603 seems to describe a potentially totalitarian regime obsessed with control over everything. Obama’s executive order makes no effort to justify the destruction of liberty, no effort to explain how amassing totalitarian control would enable government to deal effectively with cyber sabotage, suicide bombings, chemical warfare, nuclear missiles or other possible threats.”
According to The National Archives, as of the Trump administration, this executive order was still effective. I imagine the Biden administration has not repealed, replaced, amended or suspended it.
And y’all are out of your gotdamn mind if you think there will be a peaceful transfer of power in 2024 if we’re in World War III. That absolutely will not happen. The Establishment will do whatever it takes to maintain their power in wartime.
They were able to purge our military of undesirables because we still have selective service. Of course they’ll conscript young men to fight their world war.
Nothing happening in Russia is good right now. We never should have rejected peace deals on Ukraine’s behalf. We never should’ve gotten involved in Ukraine. We never should’ve lied about having boots down in Ukraine. And I’m willing to bet the farm the CIA directly involved in the Russian coup.
And finally, to the integrity inept ???????? artards, you know what bad for dEmOcRaCy and cLiMaTe ChAnGe? Nuclear war. Nuclear war is bad for all the things that bless your feigned moral piety. And if we even get so far as World War III, which I hope with my entire being we somehow do not— May they pull your birthday out of the bingo machine first.
God bless.
Well, I guess they may try, although they shouldn't, and the people surely will overwhelmingly resist the attempt. Obama didn't originate this kind of Executive Order. JFK issued a very similar one. Of course, the President of the United States has no authority to "suspend the Constitution", since it is the Constitution that created and defines his job in the first place, and he takes an oath to "preserve, protect and defend" it.
Lotta people take oaths that they don't live up to

Watching black mirror now and we're at the point where they just won't show same-race couples anymore lmao
They've shown like 6-7 couples in this episode and literally every single one of them was mixed-race and/or gay
Ten seconds into the next ep and another interracial couple
I noticed the same thing watching BritBox police shows with my dad and stepmom last winter. It wasn't to the level of only mixed race and gay couples, but it was enough to go "Does the island of Shetland really have that many mixed race couples?"
And oh, gods. You thought Hollywood didn't know a fucking thing about firearms. British writers are way worse.
Any dolphins or sheep yet?
Kevin Hart mentioned that in his Netflix special. He said don't complain that there aren't any white couples in commercials anymore. There aren't any black couples either.

Two senators convened a press conference yesterday to explicitly threaten US/NATO war against Russia: "They will be destroyed... they will be eviscerated"

Grand Old Party establishment. The old fossils that rule contrary to what their voters want.

Hunter Biden and Merrick Garland attended the same state dinner last night just hours after the Department of Justice was accused of a massive cover up involving Hunter's tax fraud case.
They are laughing at you.
They think you are stupid.
They are in one big elite club with the state media and there is nothing you can do about it.
Any photos from the after-party?
Imagine the malevolence of someone who would try to appoint Mr. Garland to the Supreme Court.
I think the real lesson here is that on the supreme court he would have adopted an acceptable temperament and been mainstreamed into everyone’s expectations – and the flipside …. any of the current SCOTI wouldcould become just as corrupt as Garland
its all about the expectations you have of yourself for the job you're taking

Nothing good will come from losing faith in institutions like elections and courts, and all of the blame rests squarely on Trump’s ego.
Well, our most precocious idiot gets all his opinions from CNN, who get it directly from Garland, so Sarc is really just paraphrasing.
Former President Obama said it best:
"There was an election. Joe Biden is now the President."
Notice he didn't say who won.
Another Obama quote: "What we saw was my successor, the former president, violate that core tenet that you count the votes and then declare a winner - and fabricate and make up a whole bunch of hooey.”
Ugh. I agree with O'Bummer. Now I feel ill.
As you should. You just swallowed a load of bullshit.
Jack Smith files paperwork to push trump trial date closer to election season and asks court to disallow defense team to interview 84 government witnesses which he did not name.

When are the kangaroos scheduled and have they released a preview copy of the verdict yet?
I got nothin’ on the witness interviews, but it really does take a retardedly long time to get a clearance, although presumably the Office of Personnel Management would fast track these if requested.
Honestly, I don't see them pushing the trial date back helping the anti-Trump forces. If I was his team, I’d do everything I could to not have the trial happen until, oh, March of 2025…
It can be under a month if they prioritize it, which Garland can authorize.
Maybe I can get him to prioritize mine... :-/ Still six months out.
Were you bypassed (not granted interim)? Write a quick email to your senator. What my company has employees do.
Not "bypassed", just... it takes forever. I'm working on uncleared systems for the nonce, but it's just annoying to have the future of this gig held in limbo for so long. I should be clearable, but things have been so uncertain for so long that until I actually have it's that I can't relax about needing to find my next job before I starve or go homeless again.
I suppose at least I can always go back to driving a truck, however much that sucks.
It is much quicker if you can tie the request to a contract requiring clearance for sure. They had a huge surge the last year in requests. Saw about a 30% timeline increase.

If they suspected Trump might be doing just a tenth of what they'd been doing, it's no wonder they were outraged.
It’s overshadowed by news from Russia, but the consolidated intelligence report on the origins of COVID-19 was released on Friday:
https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-66005240
And it’s … inconclusive, more cautious than recent news reports, and doesn’t break any new ground:
“The Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) said both a natural and laboratory origin remain plausible scenarios.”
I had got the impression from recent reporting that COVID-19 “patient zero”, Ben Hu, died. But he is still alive, and for what it is worth, denies having had the disease at that time:
https://www.science.org/content/article/ridiculous-says-chinese-scientist-accused-being-pandemic-s-patient-zero
“The recent news about so-called ‘patient zero’ in WIV are absolutely rumors and ridiculous,” Ben Hu emailed Science in his first public response to the charges, which have been attributed to anonymous former and current U.S. Department of State officials.
Noooooo... the global pandemic's not my fault, I'm not ‘patient zero’.
Totally believable.
I want to know who Mike is claiming said Hu died given the covid fatality rate.
Oh, I believe Hu is dead. I'm sure the CCP ensured that.
But they all look alike, so who knows?
I’m still floored that the whole COVID thing can be traced back to Dr. Who. As if Jodie Whitaker’s era wasn’t rough enough. The BBC has much to answer for.
And just like 99.4% of the other people who caught COVID-19, he's over it by now.
And unlike the millions who died.
If it wasn’t for Covid, nobody would die.
Keep up hope Mike.
Everyone knew in the first month of COVID-19 that it originated from the Wuhan lab. Scientists who worked at the lab had contracted the disease. The disease broke out in a city with a coronavirus lab, a lab doing gain-of-function research on viruses. This isn't what you call "a coincidence."
If smallpox resurfaced in a city with a smallpox lab, would you think it came from a food court?
I genuinely didn't.
I mean, by month 3 I had my reservations about the wet market. But month 5 when it was strictly verboten to talk about the lab leak theory I was damned certain that's where it started, because I'm cynical like that. But I was willing to consider other theories at the beginning.
I hate being a cynic like that, but when someone tells me not to look behind the curtain... well you get it.
They never produced a shred of evidence of zoonic origin. Nothing. There really was no other logical conclusion other than it came from the Whoo Hoo lab, accidently or otherwise.
Exactly.
Instead, they just impugned and maligned. That's when you know to look elsewhere. If they don't have a rational, cogent argument that includes possibilities and a hint of doubt, they are full of shit.
Same with damned near everything else since 2020. And the same with anything where "the science is settled" therefore you must submit to my political will.
No, not one person in this commentariat knew within a month, unless I am mistaken and we have some virologists or people who worked at the lab among us.
There are many members of this commentariat who rushed to believe hard in the narrative favored by their partisan team. This despite the events having transpired far away in China, and there being no compelling reason to hold any belief rather than reserving judgement.
Strictly speaking, even now, none of us knows. We are all relying on reporting, some involving anonymous sources, about an event that none of us have any first-hand knowledge of.
You are a fool. It was very evident from the very beginning that a new virus showing up within a mile of the world’s least secure virology lab which was conducting gof research was almost certainly a leak (or a practice run). Only suckers believed the gov, particularly when it morphed from ‘the Wuhan flu’ to Covid-19. Could they be more transparent?

Also:
Even more shocking is that the money sent to James Biden was flagged by his bank. Sara Biden, his wife, was contacted about the activity from the unusual wire. She first tried to play it off as normal consulting fees, but when asked to provide supporting documentation, she refused. The account was then closed due to suspicions of money laundering.

But Reason whistles past the cemetery waiting for sugar daddy to tell them how to respond.
Looks to me like the Biden/media regime got blind sided by these IRS whistle blowers and they haven't come up with a viable spin. At the same time Biden is the most unpopular presidential candidate in the history of polling so it might be a good time to through him under the bus. When Koch and Soros get on board Reason will suddenly pretend that they've been onto the story the whole time.

More proof that they’re anti-Trump Democrats.
Team Red and Blue fans are still waiting to receive their talking points on which side they must support to signal their loyalty.
I still believe the two political tribes trade issues like playing cards to keep elections roughly 50/50 and prevent an opportunity for a third party, knowing their loyal tribesmen will say “We’ve always been at war with Eastasia.”
Which of you finished the other one off first?
Look at these two clowns pretending that even though they attack the right and parrot DNC talking points all day, we're supposed to believe they're unaligned.
Nothing wrong with attacking the Right from time to time.
Attacking the right is fine.
But when all you do is attack the right, preach left and run cover for authoritarian establishment Democrats, you don't get to pretend you're an impartial centrist like those two clowns do.
They each like the other to go first with their talking points, so they can take the opposite position.

Personally, I’m stymied because I haven’t received my talking points from ENB. I’m going to go off script and share my original thoughts, and hope I don’t get in trouble later with my Reason handlers:
The thing that strikes me so far are a couple of photos I have seen from Rostov. In one Russian military police seem to be passively watching as Wagner troops enter the city. In another, citizens are filming the Wagner troops with their phones with slightly bored, slightly confused looks on their faces, but little deep concern.
It sure looks like the attitude of the people of Rostov is “Meh, old boss, new boss — it’s all the same.”
"I’m stymied because I haven’t received my talking points from ENB."
I thought you were both waiting for ActBlue?
You follow her around like a puppy dog on Twitter. Lol. Surprised your wife isn't suspicious.
She knows he's not enough to get someone to cheat on her with, no matter how much he simps. His wife is safe.
Fair.
Mike on point for once.
Thank you!
Why would Reason cover that? But hey, it's in my right-wing, nazified youtube feed.
This one’s only 44 minutes long!
From your comment it's not clear that you understand how proof works.
That might be a valid criticism if his handle weren’t “sarcasmic”. That’s a tip-off that he wasn’t really trying to present solid proof.
For a handle like “sarcasmic”, he isn’t particularly sarcastic.
Trump likes Putin, therefore anyone who supports Ukraine is a leftist. Wagner group was marching against the Kremlin so they’re leftists. And anyone who doesn’t condemn leftists in a timely manner is a leftist.
So Reason’s silence equals support for Democrats.
Just as JesseAz or the Canadian Cunt.
If Reason largely ignores huge stories of libertarian interest like the DOHS and FBI censoring thousands of American citizens, the FBIs involvement in Crossfire Hurricane and the FBI and DOJ hiding evidence of bribetaking in a president's family, you fucking bet silence there equals support for Democrats.
Even though you're easily the stupidest, most gullible fuck to post here, even you know that lies of omission are a thing. That's why you're being dishonest here.
Hmm, latest news is Prigozhin stopped his troops and turned them around once they were within 120 miles of Moscow. So, it was a big flex?
I suppose that’s a good thing. Don’t want the Wagner group getting nukes.
At this point AI is much more evolutionary rather than revolutionary. It only does things that Humans already do. Sometimes better, sometimes faster and sometimes completely wrong. It doesn't enable an entirely new capability like fire or the wheel.
This CEO just sounds like the typical love child of narcissism and capitalism. Sell us what we think we want rather than what they have or we need.
Yup, just standard Silicon Valley hype.
until it isn't.
5 years ago no one thought AI could create art or write music or papers. Where will it be 5 years from now?
Actually, there were people who thought AI could do all those things. Have been thinking that for at least 75 years now.
"People are comparing A.I. to smartphones or the internet. I think it's much closer to the invention of fire or the wheel," says Flo Crivello.
He is correct. And one day we might have that AI, but at this time, we don't.
Segways were going to transform transportation.
Yet another piece of visionary technology that killed its CEO. You may be on to something here…
One wonders if OpenAI's CEO is beginning to sweat and loosen his collar.
And as an AI promoter, Crivello might be a wee bit biased.
Wow, it has been a bad couple of days for Trump-Tards. First the Hunter Biden Bribery Hoax has fallen apart and now Fatass Donnie's Strongman Wanna-Be Butt-Brother may face a coup.
Maybe Pro-NATO Pro-Democracy liberals like me score big if Putin and Donnie get the shiv.
Neocons never lose, they just go away for a while and then slither back in through another unsecured entrance.
Despite being disastrously wrong about Iraq, neocons actually had one insight that ended up being 100% correct. They realized Democrats like Buttplug didn't hate them for their pro-war cheerleading. Instead, Democrats like Buttplug hated them because 10 to 20 years ago they promoted war through the wrong political party.
#KristolIsCoolNow
#(FrumToo)
Lol. Okay. Fine. I admit you're a parody.
I'm just your typical pro-choice capitalist liberal like Ayn Rand - who wrote Atlas Shrugged.
We just don't like conservatives.
The only thing you know about Ayn Rand is she wrote Atlas Shrugged. Lol. We found that out last time you brought up her name dumdum.
We the living know a lot more about Ayn rands writings
My favorite of hers. Then fountainhead.
The fountainhead Is my favorite
Sorry to be the bringer of bad news. 🙁
Obviously you're an obedient Democrat who didn't care about Russia in 2012 when Obama dropped his legendary "1980s called" one-liner, and only started hating Putin in 2016 when your #Resistance masters told you he was to blame for Hillary losing to a hand-picked opponent.
Well guess what? You should hate this Prigozhin character too. The FBI says he helped RUSSIA HACK THE ELECTION. Remember, according to you #Resistance dorks this was the equivalent of Sept. 11 and / or Pearl Harbor.
you #Resistance dorks this was the equivalent of Sept. 11 and / or Pearl Harbor.
With a garnish of Hiroshima and a side order of Auschwitz.
"First the Hunter Biden Bribery Hoax has fallen apart"
This is what happens when you get your news and talking points mailed to you daily from a DNC smear shop.
Hate to break it to you Shrike, but there were seven new developments this week, two directly implicating Joe.
NBC and ABC news were both curious about the bribery at yesterday's WH press conference. Shrikes claims make zero sense.
From the DNC or from his Rules for Radicals Magic Eight Ball.
Trump-Loving MAGA Communists agree with Donnie - "Get rid of big banks, pharma, tech with a worker rebellion"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_B1g7mjT1PA
Workers UNITE! MAGA Communism!
"MaGA cOMmUniSM!!!"
Also, corporatism and corporatist entities will never equal free-market capitalism no matter how hard you infer and pretend, Shrike. Trump is right.
MAGA WORKERS OF THE WORLD UNITE AND GIT RID OF THE WEF GLOBALIST CORPORATIONS LIKE BLACKROCK AND GOOGLE!
You mean the companies and and special interest groups working to push governments to do their bidding? Totally free market capitalism. Lol.
Yeah, you sure like sum of dat corporatism. Sieg heil, Shrike.
Yes, all caps. Thanks for showing us how deranged you actually are, Shrike.
He's mocking JesseAz and the Canadian Cunt you idiot.
Imagine being so incredibly butthurt that you'd actually white knight for a fascist pedophile.
No he isnt dumdum.
You keep using that term, pedo, “MAGA Communist”. You do realize the two are diametrically opposed, don’t you, dipshit?
Trump supports all kinds of leftist policies, dipshit, which means his defenders do as well.
The left loves protectionism and hates free trade. So does Trump.
The left loves to support favored domestic industries and unions. So does Trump.
The left loves strongmen and dictators, especially communists. Trump is friends with Vladimir Putin, Kim Jong-un, and Xi Jinping.
The left loves to force businesses to do their will. Trump forced companies to make medical equipment and supplies for the COVID panic.
The man has no guiding principles other than what's good for Trump. And his followers have no principles or they'd praise Biden for continuing and expanding Trump's policies.
I didn't think Shrike's MaGA cOMmUniSM would actually trick anyone, but I always underestimate just how gullible and stupid Sarcasmic is.
Paint any argument blue and the drunken twit will buy it.
More abortions have happened in Florida than California in this past year?
https://www.politico.com/news/2023/06/24/abortion-california-new-york-dobbs-00103494
“And while leading liberal states like New York and California saw some increases in the number of abortions, their numbers were far eclipsed by Florida because it borders states with severe abortion restrictions. The Republican-controlled state — where Gov. Ron DeSantis’ six-week abortion ban remains tied up in court — saw the largest increase in abortions post-Dobbs.”
Politico, so it's guaranteed to be bullshit. I'll tear this one apart for you when I get home, White Mike
Just a reminder: Trump got 74+ million votes in the face of this

The more we learn about the 2020 election, the more undeniable it becomes that Biden owes his “victory” to blatant political corruption. To wit:
1) An IRS probe into the Bidens money laundering payments from hostile nations — the normal outcome of which would have ended his candidacy — was instead given a stand-down order
2) The FBI & IRS wanted to search Biden’s house in September 2020 but were given a stand down order.
3) The @FBI authenticated Hunter’s laptop a year before the NYPost first reported on its contents
4) Rather than use the laptop’s voluminous documentation of myriad felonies to initiate criminal investigations, the FBI hatched a plot to warn social media companies of an imminent “hack & leak” operation of what they heavily suggested was Russian disinformation
5) The FBI used its 2016 Russia collusion probe — which the Durham probe has since proven was essentially an extension of the Clinton campaign — to rationalize its meddling in the 2020 election.
6) The FBI also conducted an influence operation with various reporters at major newspapers to convince them that forthcoming damaging reporting about Biden that they knew was true was in fact not
7) The FBI was spying on Giuliani when he shared the laptop’s contents with the NYPost
8) When the FBI told Twitter & Facebook a Russian disinformation campaign was coming, they had already concluded Russia wasn’t trying to game the election
9) In their attempt to corroborate their own rumor of Russian electoral influence, the FBI became aggressive with its demands for user data from Twitter, eventually getting shutdown for seeking users’ private info without a warrant
10) Nonetheless, in the preceding years, the FBI established a beachhead inside Twitter, with an operations center of former agents who communicated via their own dedicated slack channel. These ex-agents included Jim Baker, the FBI’s former top counsel who played a central role in the FBI’s Trump/Russia scam, as well as Comey’s former chief of staff, Dawn Burton, who started the FBI’s Russia collusion probe.
11) The CIA, in collusion with the Biden campaign, seeded disinformation claiming the laptop was itself Russian disinformation. The major media used this as a pretext to avoid reporting on its contents and instead attack those who were.
12) The FBI also arranged a meeting with Sens. Grassley & Johnson about supposed Russian disinformation & Hunter Biden.
13) The FBI then used this briefing with the senators to justify quashing their own agents’ probe into the Bidens’ corruption.
14) When the story broke mere weeks before the election — one that polling later indicated would have altered enough Democrat votes to send Trump to a second term — Twitter & Facebook orchestrated an unprecedented & anti-democratic mass censorship campaign.
15) When Twitter initially resisted censoring the story, it was Jim Baker who convinced them to do so (despite the FBI having known for a year the informartion was true).
16) In December 2020, after the operation’s success and Biden’s “victory,” the FBI agents working at & with Twitter celebrated the outcome.
17) The FBI subsequently paid Twitter $3.5 million for the staff hours expended on their influence operations.
18) At the time Trump was being impeached for asking Ukraine to investigate Biden’s alleged corruption in Ukraine, the FBI & IRS already knew the Bidens had indeed laundered more than $10 million from Burisma, via fake companies and dozens of bank accounts, while at the same time VP Biden had used U.S. aid as leverage in getting the Ukrainian prosecutor investigating Burisma fired.
P.S. And that’s to say nothing of Democrats orchestrating a state-by-state campaign to change voting rules to enable the widespread adoption of voting boxes … Left-wing activist groups, funded in part by Facebook, facilitated the exploitation of these drop-off boxes on behalf of the Democratic Party. That part may not have been illegal since they simply changed the rules, but it’s especially shady since it was done alongside federal health agencies then-knowingly overstating the threat of Covid, which was used as the rationale for the change of rules in the first place.
P.P.S. And this is just what we know despite the feds’ best efforts. Imagine how much we don’t.
You forgot the pandemic, probably the most concerted and effective political campaigning done in the US in decades.
Yea, that's a partial list.
They committed the most massive crime against humanity in history in large part to prevent Trump's reelection.
And Biden got 80 million votes by sitting in his basement releasing a short pre-recorded and edited video every now and then. Turns out candidates have been putting way too much effort into campaigning all this time, and facing criticism about whether they should be going to California fundraising events or Wisconsin fish fry events. Turns out they should have just had someone fortifying the elections to ensure the wrong candidate doesn't win.
That wasn’t how Biden won without campaigning. He won because he had the luck to run against a despised opponent. Ironically, that despicable opponent ran against an even more despised opponent four years earlier.
The Republican primary is going to be interesting.
Sigh. I could do without interesting for a while.
I stopped listening to talk radio the day Trump won the Republican primary. They went from “He’s got some questionable policies” to “He can do no wrong” in the same breath. No shame. I wonder if they’ll do the same thing if someone other than him wins. Will they fawn over the new nominee and risk the wrath of the Trump cult, or will they go against the Party and stay with their Dear Leader?
For someone who claims he doesn't have TDS you sure admit to it a lot.
His campaign manager must've done tons of interviews and TV shows, basking in the glory of the most innovative and effective campaign strategy ever...
Right?
What's a good book to read on how they came up with it? There's gotta be tons of them...
Meereow.

Hey, if Zuckerberg and Musk can do it, why not a cage match?
And Trump and Biden! The Donald vs. Joe — or Donald, Jr. Vs. Hunter would be acceptable, or a nice warmup to the main event.
I think catfights between wives and daughters would be more entertaining.
We can do that, too!
Fire wasn't invented, it was domesticated.
The wheel was invented, by my ancestors. I'm still trying to collect the royalties.
You're part Yamnaya too, huh.
I think human capabilities should be reserved for high-value things that only humans can do.
We can all be influencers.
Or spending our entire day in a flow state.
Well well well.
Germany passes law to attract skilled migrant workers amid fierce debate

Good for them! Wish the US could get its act together and enact such changes.
Look at you guys acting like some immigrants are more valuable than others. Shame.
"A Canada-style points-based system will take into account age, skills, qualifications..."
This worked great until Justin tossed it out the window for an American-style 'just show up' policy.
If they have that in place, why don't we institute a Mexico-style pass-through policy, where they arrive then are immediately dumped off on the next country closer to the pole?
Not sure if you know this: Mother’s Lament is Canadian.
Germany passes law to attract skilled migrant workers amid fierce debate
Well well well, so they're not just opening their borders to anyone doing the end zone dive eh? I wonder what prompted that change?
Well today was obviously another day off for pretty much the entire Reason staff, very low sockpuppet post volume!
Jeff, Shrike, Sarc and Mike were mostly using their normal accounts.
I've been writing about AI and the changes it's bringing about as well. Here's the first article:
https://simulationcommander.substack.com/p/lets-talk-about-ai-eventually
And the follow-up from today (part 3 next week):

There was *at least* 100 yrs. between what might be considered the end of the industrial revolution and the invention of the solo cup or the bic pen and, further, there was no single technology or technical area that composed the entirety of the revolution, unlike the nuclear or information age.
The comparison, as an idea is imbecilic and obvious dot-bomb-style hype. I expect either the company to fail based on this guy's stupidity and Reason's endorsement of them, or the company to become yet another perpetually-broke-yet-perpetually-unfailing, unprofitable group project based on this guy's stupidity and Reason's endorsement of them.
Oh, that is a bad quote.
1. Smartphones are the internet. They don't exist without it. It's what makes them smartphones and not IPAqs.
2. The internet has been as transformative as fire and the wheel.
It is one of several technological singularities humanity has gone through. Fire, wheel, agriculture, writing, industrial revolution, etc.
