During questioning by members of the British Parliament, Air Chief Marshal Sir Mike Wigston apologized to Royal Air Force Group Capt. Lizzy Nicholl, who resigned as head of recruitment after receiving what she believed to be an unlawful order to prioritize women and minorities over white men. Wigston admitted "stretching aspirational" goals and setting "unattainable" recruitment targets for women and minorities but denied the Royal Air Force had discriminated against white men. Nicholl claims to have identified at least 160 white men who were discriminated against.

Not sure how this is a Brickbat – a group captain quit rather than implement the order and Parliament looked into the matter. I haven’t heard of anybody doing the same here in the USA even though you know damn well the same shit has been going on here longer than it has been over there. I mean, shit, they’re wanting to recruit more women and minorities, we’re actively recruiting the transgendered?

Hey, at least it isn’t an outright lie from Treason.com for once. It’s worth clicking through to the source and seeing what actually happened, though: a misguided but good faith attempt to counter years of discrimination that ended up in a grey area of what is lawful and what is not, followed by a dreadful mismanagement of the concerns raised leading to the resignation of the GC in charge of it all.
