Brickbat: That Smell

Ayana Hanzawa, who teaches at a city-run elementary school in Fujimi, Japan, has been charged with suspicion of forcible obstruction of business. Police said she mixed bleach into a curry that was to be served to students in her class. No one ate any of the curry because the child in charge of serving it said it smelled bad. Hanzawa was reportedly upset because she had been transferred to another class.

That's a weird charge for attempted poisoning. Must have lost something in the translation.
IDK, ‘our employee attempted to obstruct the business of teaching of our students by poisoning them’ sounds very Japanese.
Japan has a near 99% conviction rate primarily because they don't bring charges they aren't 99% sure they can make stick. So a lot of criminals get charged lightly or not charged at all. On the flip side, those that do get convicted face a notoriously harsh prison system. Japan's little secret.
Last line in the translation answers your exact question:

I never thought it would be possible, but my trustworthy friend persuaded (emu-5s1) me to take the opportunity after telling me how she quickly earned 13,000 dollars in just four weeks while working on the greatest project. Definitely, the addition of the curry would make that bleach inedible.
The moral of the story is don't be too quick to dismiss rhe merits of child labor.
Come on, Reason, is she a far right Neo-Nazi or a trans-gender communist?
The teacher heard that bleach cured Covid, and was just trying to protect the children.

assault with deadly sauce
They’d better not whitewash this!
I'm actually impressed you didn't mention Trump and bleach, taking his comments out of context
