Brickbat: Where There's a Will, There's a Way

The Federal Way, Washington, police department suspended Officer Breanna Straus without pay for one shift for violating department social media policy. Straus posted a TikTok video showing her in uniform in which she said, "If we're driving on the freeway in our police car, get the f—- out of the way. I can go 90 miles an hour, you can't. You can't do that. So get the f—- out of the way. If us officers stay behind you long enough, we can find a reason to pull you over."

With this kinda attitude she'll never get a man.
Yes, a man. Yes.
If that’s her typical attitude, I doubt even a woman or an In-Betweener would stick around very long. Unless it’s some weird masochist, maybe.
Unless it’s some weird masochist, maybe.
You say that like the progression, across individuals, from cis-straight to cis-lesbian to in-betweener isn’t strongly and overtly associated with masochism, victimocracy/victimization, and stupidity.
I just worked part-time from my apartment for 5 weeks, but I made $30,030. I lost my former business and was soon worn out. Thank goodness, [aso-07] I found this employment online and I was able to start working from home right away. This top career is achievable by everyone, and it will improve their online revenue by:.

LOL. Imma guess sex with this woman would be pretty exhilerating (at least the first time). My guess is that she may not be into men, though.
It's the modern world. Men don't have to have penises.
I think you're misreading between Adans smith and Bob1062's lines. Remember the long-running and popular narrative that all the bullies picking on homosexuals were really just repressing their own homosexuality whether they knew it or not?
Along those lines, the term 'incel' assumes no biological sex or sexuality and it would seem that only toxic femininity would assume only men can be incels.
I'm sure her fetish for putting people in cages for her own desires will help her out with this.
In TikTok veritas.
No wonder the CCP runs TikTok — they’ll get to know the truth about which non-Chinese are with them, who’s against them, and who’s simply too dumb to even have an opinion about the CCP (and who probably can’t even recognize both letter C and letter P).
Yeah, let's not get ahead of ourselves.
She said what everyone was already thinking.
That's why they suspended her. As a DC cop you're not supposed to say that out loud.
You think it. Everyone else knows it. You act on it daily. You just don't actually say it. It's like a police social code. The badge's version of masturbation for teen boys. Even though everyone does it the guy who starts talking about it is going to be harassed to no end.
Federal Way is a little town a bit south of Seattle. But cops are cops everywhere.
From sea to shining sea.
"suspended Officer Breanna Straus without pay for one shift"
"You've been very naughty...hold out your wrist..."
"Now get back out there and write some tickets."
She has the attitude, but how many dogs has she snuffed?
With that attitude, she should’ve just been fired outright and blacklisted from ever being a cop in the state again.
You must be new here.
She's only in trouble for saying it out loud. They should be grateful she didn’t mention shooting dogs or planting evidence.
^ Exactly this. She said the quiet part out loud.

Where There's a Will, There's a Way
You mean she wouldn't fit right in with a DOJ that would have the will to execute a search warrant and then, over a month later, find a way to avoid disclosing the charges which motivated the warrant?
Seems
kinda pettyreally, really fucking Statist to publicly indict Officer Getdafuckoutadaway over traffic infractions but hard pass on the rest of the DOJ, top to bottom."We can drive 90 mph and you can't." So you're saying you're above the law? I'm pretty sure you're allowed to drive 90 mph when your lights and siren are on, in which case other drivers will in fact get out of your way. Otherwise, you're just another driver and you have to follow the same traffic laws as the rest of us. And one shift without pay isn't going to fix your ignorance of law, you dumb bitch.
A couple of years ago, a cop near here was doing over 100 mph, no lights, no siren, came up over a hill and broadsided a car with a couple of high-school girls in it, killed them both. After a lengthy investigation, he was fired. No liability for killing the two girls.
How long was it before he was reinstated with backpay after arbitration?
The lights would have changed the outcome?
He probably would not have been fired. So, totes better.
Depends on how many lights you see.
I see what you did there, nerd!
A cop in my area did the same thing, hit a car while he was going 105 mph. The guy in the car wasn't killed, just paralyzed for life. Then the cop turned around and sued the guy for causing the accident. Fortunately and surprisingly, the prick cop lost.

But ignore a government official bragging about how she turns your kids trans.
The attitude is concerning, but all-in-all the honesty is refreshing for once.
I can go 90 miles an hour, you can't. You can't do that. So get the f—- out of the way.
It's The Federal Way.
Her infraction was saying the quiet part out loud.
All cops. Every single one.
What's her offense? Telling the truth? "Improper" language?
Oh, good. Yet another libertarian who’s got no problems with an officer of the law co-opting a private platform and distributing their (illegal/incorrect and) oppressive/fascist message.
You didn't get the sarcasm, did you?
Personally, I read most of this message board assuming the tone is somewhere just short of Comic Book Guy.
Worst. Cop. Ever.
It's kind of a rare surprise when I misread a post that way and have to go back to understand it with a non snarky reading.
She is definitely right though. You want to stay away from the Police as much as you can. I think I’ve had them tell me to get out of the fast lane because I was going the speed limit, and they wanted to own the fast lane for the night. I wasn't going fast enough to get a ticket so they over their loud speaker system asked me to give them the right of way in the fast lane. Funny, weird. The Police are tricky they can do whatever they want to do.
Well - she's certainly full of herself - "get out of my way!"
Unless she's running with emergency lights - there's no reason that citizens need to get out of her way!
As others said they may well want to get clear of the police - but, for her to declare I can drive 90mph and you can't. Technically unless she's in pursuit or running to a call - most departments require officers to drive at a safe speed when they are not running to a call.
Cops can literally do whatever they want. Who is going to stop them? The cops?
They just stopped her.
They docked her pay for a single shift. She's out there driving on duty right now.
She's 100% right.
Further, any interaction with cops, no matter how minor, carries with it a potential death sentence.
Yes sir, no sir, please don't kill me sir.
"If us officers stay behind you long enough, we can find a reason to pull you over."
Yep, don't say you're a law abiding citizen, there aint no such thing. The laws aren't for obeying they're for catching people breaking
I can't wait for this cop to go on yet another power trip, pull over the wrong person (probably a hardened criminal and violent repeat offender with a bunch of outstanding warrants and a strong aversion to going back to prison), and get shot to death in the line of duty.
That will be a good day for the people of her city.
