The University of Guelph, a public university in Canada, is seeking a research chair in experimental physics. According to the job posting, "The successful candidate will be an outstanding and innovative world-class researcher in experimental physics whose accomplishments have made a major impact in their field." But not discriminating or anything.
I have some sort of mental defect that leaves me totally incapable of seeing WHY it is that being able to check off being "women, persons with disabilities, Indigenous peoples, and racialized groups..." is so damned important here. My mental disability leaves me as being specially qualified then, eh, hoser? Oh, and, how about ethical and moral disabilities, that leave me incapable of refraining from being drunk and high at work every day? And I'm also inwardly mentally compelled to rape and-or beat up the students? Do these disabilities help my candidacy ass well?
I am creating eighty North American nation greenbacks per-hr. to finish some web services from home. I actually have not ever thought adore it would even (avt-02) realisable but my friend mate got $27k solely in four weeks simply doing this best assignment and conjointly she convinced Maine to avail. Look further details going this web-page.

You do. You really do.
After more thought on the matter, I say, get creative! If you want this job, suddenly go develop a disability known as the "alien hand syndrome"! Be kinda like Dr. Strangelove... Whenever you hear words like "intersectionality" or "racialized", your alienated hand absolutely MUST render the "Sieg Heil" salute!

Why do these grey boxes smell like shit?
Because the Shemale who turned them into grey boxes eats entirely too much shit?
It's called "positive discrimination" if you ask the Brits. After all, how can something positive be bad?
It's Canada; they can just do this sort of discriminatory shit up there.
Just as their douche bag in charge [aka Prime Minister Brown Face] can ban any and all guns with the flick of a pen.
And if you didn't know this is a template for progressives hereabouts.
I'm sure Canada has a huge pool of talented applicants for these groups.
I identify as all those things.
That's your problem, Fist! You're overqualified! Being self-IDed as ALL of those things, the administrators of the University of Guelph are afraid you'll TAKE THEIR JERBS!!!!
And across their southern border to do it.
That's called a "social construct" 'round these parts.
Dude, you have been pre-classified into a category that is not entitled to self-identification.
Well, the applicant will have to be smarter than a supreme court justice, because to belong to a group called "women", you have to know what a "woman" is.
Not necessarily smarter than a SCOTUS justice, just equal to a competent biologist. The connection that has to experimental physics, however, is beyond me.
Oh no, it's not that simple.
They can't provide an actual binding (or meaningful) definition, but they'll tell you if a favored candidate fulfills the vague, amorphous definition they have in mind when they want to use it.
Yes, this absolutely IS the implementation of NewSpeak.
Good to see that racism and discrimination are alive and well in the great white north.
“Great white north.”
Racist!
Not a problem. Tell them you're a black woman with a disability. Under the prog's own rules they're not allowed to question your identity. And if they do, file an HR complaint.
Klansmen need not apply. They aren't part of a racialized group. Were these requirements translated from French or something?
If I start shooting all the Guelphers, they're gonna lock me up and throw away the key!
And I never slice!
Be the ball.
Isn't every human part of a racialized group? Are they looking to make sure illegal aliens of the Martian or Kryptonian variety aren't going to get the gig?
No Supermen need apply. Kal-El No!
Racialized? Does that mean "treated like a race although not actually a race"?
You know the job is going to go to a handicapped lesbian black woman who knows next to nothing about physics - her major accomplishment in the field of experimental physics will be being the first handicapped lesbian black woman appointed to the research chair at the University of Guelph.
Skin color is the most important thing
Content of their character, not so much.
In fairness, black bodies are a field of study in physics.
Snark aside, what is worse is similar DEI and "justice" components being forced into the conduct and teaching of STEM. I see academic "guidelines" and funding requirements for scientific investigations that must include "alternative", i.e. political and ideological, activities, like incorporating some local indigenous shaman in a research team. And scientific publication is also getting skewed by editorial requirements heading down the same critical theory path that has destroyed social science.
I've heard them called "stakeholders." They have nothing investigated and are only qualified to talk shit, but they show up nonetheless.
Again, institutes and funding agencies are starting to require them.
Anyone who cannot see the blatant sexism and racism going on by the very same projecting personalities that pretend to be against sexism and racism are blinded fools of sheeple mind.
Using Gov-Guns to push for favors/entitlements for any particular sex or race over any another ***IS*** government practicing racism and sexism with the demands of poking Gov-Guns at people.
Oh, and that person must belong to one or more of the following groups: "women, persons with disabilities, Indigenous peoples, and racialized groups."
Tells you where libertarianism is when this kind of thing only gets covered in a "brickbat".
Oh, look at those crazy, silly kids! Anyway, where's that 3000 word article on the vanity plate controversy?
Especially after and, to be fair Reason has covered some of this, rising tuition costs, declining value of advanced education, student loan debt forgiveness, safe space/free speech/other political activism on campus, Title IX, etc.
But, even then, agreed, the Brickbat has a very early-to-mid-20th-century-Russian-newspaper "Those rascally Bolsheviks!" connotation.
First time through I read "radicalized groups".
Yeah, they'd love that too, but can only give the candidate Secret Bonus Points.
