Kansans Reject Anti-Abortion Ballot Measure—and It's Not Even Close
Plus: Why GOP emails are triggering spam filters, new minimum wage research, and more...

Voters overwhelmingly voted against a measure that would have allowed abortion to be banned in Kansas in the first post-Roe test of abortion's legality put directly to the people.
As of Wednesday morning—with 95 percent of precincts reporting—the vote was 58.8 percent against and 41.2 percent for, according to The New York Times.
The ballot measure would have amended the Kansas constitution to state that it did not protect the right to have an abortion. Such an amendment would open the gates for state lawmakers to ban abortion—an option currently blocked by a 2019 state Supreme Court finding that the Kansas Constitution's guarantee of "equal and inalienable rights" included a "natural right of personal autonomy" that protected abortion access.
But voters yesterday gave a resounding no to the question "should the Kansas constitution be amended to remove protections of abortion rights?"
The vote isn't the result of low turnout—Kansans voted on the abortion measure in numbers normally not seen in non-general elections.
Secretary of State Scott Schwab says that, based on anecdotal evidence, turnout today may match the turnout in the 2008 presidential general election contest.
That would be around 50% turnout, way above the 36% turnout his office predicted earlier this week. #ksleg

Nor is it a result of August elections typically favoring more liberal voters. "When the Legislature's GOP supermajority placed the amendment on the ballot last year they picked the election most likely to favor the amendment," notes The Kansas City Star. "August primaries have disproportionately high Republican turnout because Democratic primaries in Kansas are often uncontested."
And it doesn't turn on results from more liberal urban areas or university towns alone. Suburban Johnson county overwhelmingly voted against it:
Johnson County, Kansas is a big populous suburban county. Voted for Biden 53-45. NO on removing protections for abortion rights is winning 72-28.
THIS is how the suburbs are responding to the reversal of Roe.
— Katie Paris (@katiebparis) August 3, 2022
Rural counties such as Franklin and Osage also voted against the amendment "by significant margins," reports the Star. And even many rural counties that voted for it did so by smaller margins than they did for Donald Trump in 2020.
Whether Kansas is a good bellwether for the rest of the country on this issue is debatable. But Kansas is a relatively conservative and Republican state, and residents voting against an anti-abortion initiative at least suggests that conservative enthusiasm for banning abortion might not be as strong as many believe.
Of course, Kansans voting down this ballot measure doesn't meant they wouldn't support a 15-week limit on legal abortion or other more moderate restrictions. But a total ban—which the measure would have allowed for—doesn't seem to have majority support.
With the Kansas abortion amendment vote, just a reminder that there are a sizable number of voters who:
-consider themselves pro-life or who would support prohibiting abortion after 15 weeks
AND
-also believe Roe should be upheld.

Does this mean Democrats will benefit from calling out GOP extremism on abortion? Some think so.
"It's clear there are more than a few Republican voters who oppose extreme anti-abortion restrictions. Suggests opportunities for Democrats in November with a 'vote against anti-abortion extremism' message," conservative pundit Bill Kristol tweeted.
The vote is "a warning to Republicans who had celebrated the Supreme Court ruling and were moving swiftly with abortion bans or near-bans in nearly half the states," and "a dash of hope for Democrats nationwide grasping for a game-changer during an election year otherwise filled with dark omens for their prospects in November," the Associated Press suggests.
I'm not as convinced. In my experience, few moderates and Republicans are single-mindedly attached to protecting abortion rights. They may oppose abortion bans, but they won't reject an otherwise simpatico candidate who supports them (or vote for a liberal candidate just because that candidate opposes them). Meanwhile, Republican candidates are—probably now more than ever—under pressure from pro-life factions, who still make up much of their base. Which means Republican politicians and lawmakers still have a lot to gain and little to lose from opposing legal abortion. And Republican-controlled legislatures are likely to keep proposing and passing extreme abortion bans, even if these bans aren't universally popular among their constituents or wanted by a majority of their state's residents.
That's why abortion ballot initiatives like this one in Kansas are a good way to actually leave the question of abortion's legality up to the residents of each state.
Several other abortion ballot measures are forthcoming. A measure similar to the one that just failed in Kansas will be on the ballot in Kentucky this November, while the question of whether the state constitution should protect abortion rights explicitly will go to voters in Vermont and also likely in Michigan.

Let Republican spam be marked spam! Some Republicans want to ban Google and Apple from marking political campaign emails as spam, and they're using the prospect of political bias to garner support for this proposal. "The consultant class of the GOP is pushing the mythology that Google and Apple are flagging their emails because tech companies hate Republicans," notes conservative pundit Erick Erickson. But it's Republican email tactics that are the problem, he suggests.

A working paper published by the National Bureau of Economic Research looks at the short- and long-term effects of minimum wage increases:
We find that in the short run, a large increase in the minimum wage has a small effect on employment and therefore increases the labor income of the workers who were earning less than the new minimum wage. In the long run, however, the minimum wage has perverse distributional implications in that it reduces the employment, income, and welfare of precisely the low-income workers it is meant to help. Nonetheless, these long-run effects take time to fully materialize because firms slowly adjust their mix of inputs. Existing transfer programs, such as the earned income tax credit (EITC), are more effective at improving long-run outcomes for workers at the low end of the wage distribution. But combining existing programs with a modest increase in the minimum wage generates even larger welfare gains for low-earning workers.

It was against placebo showing no effects.

Voters overwhelmingly voted against a measure that would have allowed abortion to be banned in Kansas in the first post-Roe test of abortion's legality put directly to the people.
I can accept that you wouldn't call this a close race based on the 17 point separation. But I don't consider it an overwhelming victory at 59%.
I also like that Kansas did this via ballot initiative. I think more states should follow this example for testing out their proposed abortion legislation.
I bet half of the voters were confused by the language and actually voted the opposite of their intentions.
I mean it shows it is good to send back to the states for them to settle on where they think the line is. Over 60% say first trimester.
Because Kansans value both women and children, the constitution of the state of Kansas does not require government funding of abortion and does not create or secure a right to abortion."
I think they voted, no, because the amendment was transphobic.
Even having read it before hand and being familiar with it - I still had to re-read it before voting...
Convoluted language is never accidental.
Sure, that's possible. But I also don't find this result terribly surprising. Complete abortion bans aren't popular enough to pass most places. I also don't think libertine abortion laws are popular. I think it's an issue where people actually are pretty well informed about the positions, so more states should be going at it with ballot initiatives.
This wasn't a vote on a complete abortion ban. It just clarified that there is no state constitutional right to abortion, which would allow a complete ban.
§ 22. Regulation of abortion. Because Kansans value both women and children, the constitution of the state of Kansas does not require government funding of abortion and does not create or secure a right to abortion. To the extent permitted by the constitution of the United States, the people, through their elected state representatives and state senators, may pass laws regarding abortion, including, but not limited to, laws that account for circumstances of pregnancy resulting from rape or incest, or circumstances of necessity to save the life of the mother
( ) YES
( ) NO
I defy you to explain how this was a clear pro-choice choice
It just says there is no right to abortion or funding for abortion in simplistic terms. It doesn't define any regulations or laws.
then a no vote is still appropriate...
The main reason this lost decisively is precisely because it was a straight "ban or not" vote. If there had been modifications to it that stopped it at, say, 15 weeks other than rape, incest, or specific threats to the life of the mother, those numbers would have looked a lot different.
Except it wasn't a straight ban or not. It just allowed the legislature to decide, not the KS Supreme Court.
Odd that pro-lifers did not go nuts and start burning down stuff because they did not get their way.
Eric Rudolph put a single bomb at an abortion clinic 30 years ago. That proves that all pro life people are terrorists and the real threat is domestic rightwing extremism.

'While abortion activists and their apologists in the leftist media will claim that the 59 percent of voters saying “no” to the ballot measure, to a mere 39 percent of “yes” votes, proves the public disagrees with the reversal of Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood v. Casey. But the millions spent by out-of-state leftist groups, coupled with the massive misrepresentation of the amendment, make such conclusions suspect. In the last half-year, more than 70 percent of the $6.54 million raised by the lead group campaigning against the amendment came from outsiders, compared to less than 1 percent of the $4.69 million donated by out-of-staters to the Value Them Both campaign. '
https://thefederalist.com/2022/08/03/deception-drove-kansans-to-vote-down-pro-life-value-them-both-amendment/
In pushing Kansans to vote “no” to the amendment, the abortion activists inaccurately claimed: “The Legislature currently has the power to pose limits on abortion. To date, there are dozens of restrictions. What the Legislature can’t do is ban the procedure, as the Kansas Constitution currently guarantees access.”
In reality, the Hodes decision created a “fundamental right to abortion” under the Kansas constitution that surpassed the right previously guaranteed under Roe and Casey. And those dozens of restrictions on the books cannot withstand the strict scrutiny the Kansas Supreme Court established for judging regulations affecting abortions, including many passed with bipartisan support.
For instance, the “Woman’s Right to Know Act,” which includes a 24-hour waiting period plus the provision of information about abortion methods, risks, alternatives, pre-natal development, and county-by-county resources available to pregnant women, is subject to challenge and likely invalidation. While the abortion industry opposed that legislation, it passed the Kansas Senate 36-0 and 118-0 in 1997. The “Woman’s Right to Know & See” law, passed in 2009, will similarly be subject to a constitutional challenge. That statute requires that options be provided to view and receive copies of a sonogram and was opposed by the Aid for Women abortion facility and Planned Parenthood. It passed the Senate 32-6 and the House 85-37.
Democrats and their sycophant Progressives lost big yesterday in major states that has primaries, yet ENB leads with abortion in Kansas. For someone who celebrates whores as sex workers, ENB has an unhealthy Thanatos for terminating life of the most defenseless.

Even Kansans don't want more Kansans.
At least not more (D) Kansans.
The wealthy "R" party partisans in Kansas oppose the "demographic transition", because they want MORE, always MORE, low-paid dirt-poor servants and hookers on hand, to do their dirty work!
Say the following (which I regard to be true) and many conservatives will immediately agree: We can be OUTWARDLY “compassionate” while harming people. Minimum wages and rent controls come to mind! Of COURSE we are compassionate when we mandate higher pay and lower rent! Yet if we do these kinds of things to ANY significant degree, we “dry up” many of both the available low-wage jobs and the available apartments! Now go be jobless and homeless, ye victims of our “compassion”! Because businesses and landlords don’t want to lose money! Plain and simple!
Then WHY can’t conservatives see the similar dynamic when trying to be “compassionate” with other peoples’ wombs? Sure, we all love babies! But what happens to the victims, not just of “Lying Lothario”, but also of birth-control failures, and of genetic and developmental (in-the-womb) defects? “The rich will get richer, and the poor will have children”! More non-wage-earning babies and children in a family is a straight, unadulterated input contributing to poverty! It’s not what most people desire or admire, sure, but abortion is backup birth control. Our new USA move towards outlawing more and more abortions, in more states, will aggravate poverty among the poor, Blacks, and Hispanics, who can’t afford to travel for abortions, as easily as richer Whites can. We’ll be thwarting the “demographic transition” (https://populationeducation.org/what-demographic-transition-model/#:~:text=The%20Demographic%20Transition%20Model%20(DTM,as%20that%20country%20develops%20economically ) for poor residents of the USA! The rich yank the ladder out from the grasp of the could-be-climbing poor, with abortion laws, just as they do with minimum wages, rent controls, and excessive job-licensing laws!
You're not in Kansas anymore SQRLSY.

I have brought every single person you have ever asked me to bring to the F’ing White House and the Vice President’s house and the inauguration and then you go completely silent. I don’t know what it is that I did but I’d like to know why I’ve delivered on every single thing you’ve ever asked – and you make me feel like I’ve done something to offend you.
Yeah, Hunter is just the tip of the iceberg. Biden is thoroughly corrupt and compromised by the CCP, and much of the establishment in DC is the same way. Hunter regularly did business with the Kerry kids (who all hated him because he was such a fuck up). We all know about McConnell's family. Romney is in deep, too.
DC is rotten to the core, Biden was just stupid enough to try to fill Beau's role with his crackhead whore-mongering deadbeat son, and now the whole game is on full display.
But look! A Trump!

Such gloriously pathetic attention whoring. sarcasmic must be drinking himself blind in a jealous pique.
Hunter Biden's criminality has become so well documented and obvious even the Democrats with all of their media cover can no longer ignore it. So, they have to do something.
I think that something is likely to be an indictment on some kind of minor tax charge or failing to report being in the employ of a foreign government, which will then quickly be pled out with Hunter Biden receiving a small fine. This will accomplish two things. First, it will allow the media to call everything related to Hunter Biden's criminality "old news" and refuse to cover it. Second, it will set the precedent that it is okay to go after a sitting President's children. So, Hunter Biden smoking crack and engaging in human trafficking and being a bag man for his father's bribery operation means he can be indicted for a minor tax violation and pay a fine. Meanwhile, it will now be open season for DOJ on every child of every Republican politician where even the smallest and most technical violation of the law will result in an enormous list of charges that will certainly bankrupt and send said child to prison.
And Reason will cheer.

Could we stop with the "housing crisis" bullshit? There are more than enough dwellings across the country. Just because millions of people suddenly decide they want to live in the same trendy places, and compete for the housing available there, does not make a crisis.
Unless you are a pre-teen drama queen.
Most of them are under constraints more severe than "decide they want to". "Crisis" may be overwrought, but rents are considerably outpacing inflation even in these times.
This is a lot different from the mid-2000s, though. Even home pricing and rents in non-trendy urban areas like Albuquerque and Billings have skyrocketed compared to what they were five years ago.
Yeah, the cost of housing has gone way up in "trendy" places, but in the old days, those increases would be largely localized. That's not the case this time, which is part of why inflation overall is so bad.
Yeah, there's been a lot of inflation in home pricing in general, even in rural places. There's a lot of reasons for this, I fear, but I will be curious to how prices react to increasing interest rates. I kind of feel that a lot of home prices going so high is due to interest rates being so incredibly low for so long.
We're seeing some of it already with inventories increasing and sales windows staying open longer, albeit not like it was 10 years ago. It looks like sellers are panicking a bit now and trying to get out of their house while the getting is good, but buyers are going to have a bit more leverage now to negotiate on purchases.
Personally, and I told sarc this as well, I think the interest rate needs to be about double what it is now to get prices on everything back down to relatively affordable levels. I understand that they don't want a bad recession to kick off, but if we don't take our medicine now and get it over with, we're probably looking at several more years of stagflationary status.
You've got a point there. After all, the police recently found 75 undocumented immigrants living in one home in Phoenix. There's a lot of room for more without building more bedrooms.
More lower living standards brought to you by the political class, who are desperately trying to keep their promises of socialism, by growing the economy, by letting anyone cross the border. The problem is with the way they are doing it; they attract more socialists looking to live off others, rather than people who just want the freedom to work, earn a living, and keep the fruits of their own labor, without demanding taxpayers take care of them.
Republican Rep. Peter Meijer lost his primary race in Michigan to a candidate that Democrats showered with support precisely because he's a more extreme conservative...
Hope they get him in November.
"Meijer was one of a few Republicans who voted to impeach Trump. This is how Democrats thanked him: by helping a Trumpist to primary him."
Kind of like how they gerrymandered Kinzinger out of a district in Illinois?
It's the scorpion and the frog, over and over.
Maybe we just need to compromise with them more
Next time, they will surely work with the opposition in true cooperation instead of stabbing them in the back!
They also gerrymandered Meijer's district to be more blue than it was when he got the seat.
And I guarantee Meijer won't learn a fucking thing from this if he tries to run for office again. He'll go on thinking that if he's just more nice to Democrats, they wont think of ways to stab him in the back.
Does he have a record of being nice to Democrats?
The only thing I know about him is his vote for impeachment, and I don't think that falls in that category.
Think harder.
He clearly gave them the benefit of the doubt and expected them to act in good faith. These days, that counts as "being nice."
I agree. But both ENB and you miss the bigger point: the elections are designed to ensure the Party picks the candidate via win in the primaries by plurality (not a majority). And this tactic is one of many ethically questionable tactics. The other big one being to get another candidate to run in the race to split the vote away from your competitor. You also see it in the major parties when they push to remove the Green, Libertarian or other minor parties off the ballot.
The solution to ending these unethical tactics, is Instant Runoff Voting or Ranked Choice Voting in elections because they allow many candidates, then ensure a winner by majority, and voters only go to the polls once. In fact, primaries wouldn't even be needed, but these voting systems can be used in primaries, which limits voter's choices in the general election. It would also be a huge boon to Libertarians, because many libertarian leaning folks could choose the Libertarian as their top choice and wouldn't be worried about wasting a vote. These systems also ensure candidates that better represent the public.
"a dash of hope for Democrats nationwide grasping for a game-changer during an election year otherwise filled with dark omens for their prospects in November," the Associated Press suggests.
The problem is that Democrats are not going to do anything to appeal to abortion moderates. They'll attack pro-life Republicans without offering a 15-week or 20-week ban. They're not going to work to create the olive branch so it won't happen. And they're not going to offer compromises on other things Republican voters care about, like gun control.
She makes it sound like dark omens for the dems is a bad thing
They might cut the cocktail party budget.
The Democrat's position on abortion is extremist, with the problem that they conflate an acceptance that some abortions should be legal with support that all abortions should be legal (and subsidized from the public treaury).
I mean, are the Rs going to offer an olive branch the other way?
I mean, they're the ones who lost big in Kansas so.
This was about how Democrats could use this as election leverage against Republicans. I talked about how it's going to fail to work as leverage.
Republicans may have the same issue if they're pushing full bans, as they have in a few states, and yet are trying to make abortion a wedge issue for their voters. But that wasn't the question the article posed that I was responding to.

Meh, all I know is I get a ton spam from Republicans that annoys me too high heavens. Nothing from lefties but not on their email lists.
For example, I bought a gift for my boss from Ron Desantis. Got spam texts like 3 to 4 times a day from his campaign. I reported them as spam to Verizon till they stopped.
I voted Republican ONCE when communist anarchists were masquerading as libertarians. Even sent some money, which God's Own Pussygrabbers squandered on postage and gimmie cards trying to wheedle more money. Finally, after I'd been voting LP 35 years they sent me a stack of forms trying to get me to impersonate an elector for them. Mystical National Socialists are nothing if not persistent.
In the long run, however, the minimum wage has perverse distributional implications in that it reduces the employment, income, and welfare of precisely the low-income workers it is meant to help.
Hoping minimum wagers don't vote based on the long term.
Dems just have to keep raising the wage to 'lock-in' the short term gains.
They keep forgetting that the true minimum wage is zero, at least for now.
And the higher you raise the fake min. wage, the more people who will earn the real min. wage.
They don’t.
Have you heard? God's Own Prohibitionists just got their Depersonalize Women amendment back in the form of a suppository courtesy of the Kansas Libertarian Party.
Capitol Police put out request to hire their own prosecutor in a stunning display of violating branch powers.

Saying, and doing, the quiet part out loud.
Nobody expects the Congressional Inquisition!
• Residents of Georgia can now list embryos and fetuses as dependents on their tax returns. In new guidance released yesterday, the Georgia Department of Revenue said it "will recognize any unborn child with a detectable human heartbeat…as eligible for the Georgia individual income tax dependent exemption."
And I again question the wisdom of this. Perverse incentives?
And I am sure all Democrats will refuse to do this, and not accept tax credits or family welfare benefits.
Meijer was one of a few Republicans who voted to impeach Trump.
Let's not discount that being in the mix.
voters liked his opponent Gibbs because he is Catholic? Black? Goes to Mass?
Of course. That's what makes him an extremist.
Pj media recounts the 3 other times Al Zawahiri was killed by US forces.

Keep hope alive Jesse.
What hope dummy? It is a report on prior us intelligence failures. Government is not infallible dummy.
I know you regulars here are broken hearted about Zawahiri. Posts yesterday were sad.
Eat a drone.
Fuck off and die, asshole.
Oh, some snowflake is feeling triggered.
Fuck off and die, lefty shitpile.
Cite?
Uh, that would be you leftists. You’re with the terrorists, and are often terrorists yourselves. Like your fellow travelers in BLM and antifa.

He might be Mullah Francis if somebody didn't.
Basically. Heaven forbid they give credit where it's due because it's not "their guy."
Fuck off and die, lefty shitpile.
Sort of like your side and al-Baghdadi.
How sad must it be to think anyone buys this.
Zawahiri was a deeply religious Allah-fearing upholder of Sharia law... a beacon of hope to Televangelist-anointed girl-bullying Republicans. HAHAHAHAHAHA!
I'm sure they got him this time. I expect nothing less than complete competence from Biden and his administration, especially on matters relating to Afghanistan.
Got him so thoroughly that there is no evidence whatsoever to prove it. But they totally got him just like Barry promises he got bin Laden, despite a complete lack of evidence. He totally didn't die in December 2001.
I love how they reported seeing his wife and kids after the missile strike.
"No collateral damage. We swear!"
Where is irony when you need it most?
A significant chunk of people's lottery winnings actually go to the government.
Lol.
In the economic-social-justice future, lottery winnings will be divided among all the people. Except for the government take, of course.
ALL of the lottery losses go to the state. Be thankful you are allowed to not buy ticket!
Are there people that didn't know this?
Are there people who think more money should go to the government?
Yes, there are people that think they can win against the house.
YEP. There's a mystic born every ten seconds. Laws against gambling deny the educated First Amendment rights to teach math for consideration, and to worship The Almighty Dollar. Televangelists also use them as a way around antitrust laws.
I have repeated this so many times I'm sick of it, but here goes one more time: Every single lotto drawing, government wins. And why shouldn't they take 1/3 to 1/2? They worked so hard for it.
Republican Rep. Peter Meijer lost his primary race in Michigan to a candidate that Democrats showered with support precisely because he's a more extreme conservative:
Shit. Does this mean reason has to start talking Romney as their dreamy GOP candidate?
Maybe. But it will be fun to see how Democrats react when Republicans and others start supporting the most extreme whack-job progressive candidates in (D) primaries.
With even Manchin caving and only him and sinema even seem semi non extreme.
^ this.
The party is almost completely extremists. The extremist views are now the mainstream DNC talking points. The very few centrist dems left are being shunned by the dems themselves.
Remember how Biden was supposed to be moderate from the Dem side?
Compared to Comrade Bernie Sanders, heck yeah!!!
Cori Bush won her primary in St. Louis last night with almost 70%.
They will continue to ignore all of the great things Massie is doing. Reason use to love Massie, you know before their tds
He talks to MTG. He must be shunned.
Do they briefly unshun him ahead of an important vote?
No, the ignored it when Massie voted no on wuflu bailouts and congress said it was a unanimous voice vote. Having no actual record of how "elected" officials voted apparently isn't a big deal to reason editors
...we're hitting levels of housing scarcity not seen in recent memory and rents are skyrocketing as a result.

getting a deduction for your unborn child is great. There’s nothing cheap about a fetus.
Do you have to sign anything or can you get deductions for clumps of cells?

Everyone knows that pee is stored in the balls.

No you don't
So all the people using ragamuffin kids as pawns and getting Earned Income Tax Credit as a grift are going to have an even bigger grift! Thanks, Supremes! Thanks, Big Papa! Thanks, Jesus Christ-ers!
That can't claim them on Federal Return which is where the EITC is. only on GA return. I don't know what credits GA has.
Especially after some political evangelist declares the stricken female an unperson and slave of the Lebensborn State. The Constitution deals with persons, no hoped-for Hitlerjugend fodder.
Good morning Peanuts! The Oracle of Dogdick Georgia is here. Just reminding you not to believe wingnut.com sites and their recently invented definition of "recession" as "consecutive quarters of negative GDP." That's anti-Biden disinformation. In fact the Biden economy is the strongest ever.

Also I should add inflation is a wingnut.com myth.
#MoreButtplugInsights
"...Buttplug..."
It's spelled t-u-r-d.
Buttplugs often have insight into some pretty amazing shit.
That was in a 1975 French communist propaganda movie. Everyone sat around a table fondling vegetables and spouting looterese.
The Kansas abortion vote should be a "canary in the coal mine" for the GOP in other states. Kansas regularly gives Republicans about a 20% margin, but not on this issue. So, the GOP in purple states like Penna. had better watch out when running hard-line anti-abortionists like Mastriano and Dr. Oz. Yes, there are other issues but we all know which ones the media and the opposition ads will hammer.
Or not. This amendment doesn't state what the Kansas law will be. It will still be a restriction previously less than Roe allowed.
Amendments are difficult to pass. Voters tend to be against amendments, even when they aren't vague and don't give the legislature a bunch of power they don't currently have.
This one was not only vague, but narrow. How could it be both at the same time? By zeroing in on a line of court decisions based on a vague statement in the existing constitution. It doesn't mean that once that justification is voided, there wouldn't be other constitutional provisions affecting the issue, as judges see it.
The whole point of sending hordes of semiliterate Trumpanzees to Nevada to Anschluss the Libertarian Party was to memory-hole the platform the Supreme Court plagiarized for its Roe decision. What could go wrong? Now attractive fertile women have only the Democratic party to vote for. The Grab Others' Pussies party has slit its looter throat deep enough to elicit the envy of Madame Defarge. Lucky for us the Kansas LP had the good sense to recognize women as individuals and the 13th and 19th Amendments as The Real Thing.
The Kanas vote confirms my belief that most people were happy with the original Roe decision. In place for over 50 years people had come to expect the right to reproductive choice. The Supreme Court handed this right back to the states and but did not tell states how to regulate abortion. The question is will state legislatures enact laws people want or will they try to impose severe limits on people's reproductive rights. Many states seem to be going for restrictive laws, Kanas may convince them that this would be wrong.
Most people were ignorant to what roe was. The overwhelming support for 1st trimester restrictions was shown even in polls supporting roe, despite those restrictions being allowed in roe.
Youre just demonstrating the same general ignorance.
Sure, sure; Because obviously people's PERSONAL life should be up to [WE] mob dictators majority votes.... There's a reason MOST courts have seen this as an invasion of privacy....
Pro-Life proponents belong on the left. Where all the [WE] Gov-Gun toting dictators are found.
So, murders within the family totes OK?
He will support honor killings soon.
Well, that IS part of their private personal life. So no ‘gov-guns’ allowed.
no ‘gov-guns’ allowed ------- Would be a huge step in the right direction for this Nation.
So murders are ok if it’s ‘personal business’. Got it.
Get some help.
Murders are okay when it's the murder of YOUR pretend-imaginary unicorn in my wife!!!
Except your “wife” is a 15 year old tranny, so no thanks.
Murder of your *pretend-imaginary* unicorn in my wife is totes OK.... Your imagination isn't an excuse to GROW *real* Gov-Gun packing dictation.
A fetus isn't pretend nor a unicorn.
You and brandy need to retake intro to biology.
Allow it to be set free like the B.S. pouring out of your mouth is then.
This isn't hard at all; you either recognize a life with freedom or you don't... FORCING procreation isn't recognizing either one.
i.e.
Liberty for the Woman.
Liberty for the Baby.
.........NOT..........
Gov-Gun Enslavement of the Woman
As a prison cell for the Baby.
Under your crackpot ideas, babies only get a horrific murder. Not justice.
What you think that's your "baby" in my wife? Well; she better let you have it then (i.e. REMOVE IT). BUT ----- MY wife isn't your "baby incubator" Gov-Gun Power-Mad wanna-be dictator.
Now do 6 month olds.
You really need to spend more time thinking about your silly talking points.
Are 6-month olds living inside my wife? Idiot.
6 month olds have been set free. You still can’t kill them, or neglect them even.
So ALLOW them to be set FREE!!!!
Good grief Pro-Life people 99% of the time cannot even come to grips with their own arguments.
No one forced the woman to not make her man use a condom or neglect to take Plan B after he nutted in her, either.
Excuses, Excuses, Excuses.... Any excuse at all for MORE, MORE, MORE Gov-Gun packing dictation...
Right, because libertarian means freedom without responsibility.
Who's "responsibility"... You think MY WIFE is ur responsibility somehow?
Excuses, Excuses, Excuses....
Woof, the projection in that statement can be seen from outside the solar system.
You think a person claiming to own themselves is just an excuse huh?
"You don't own you! [WE] own you!", every tyrant dictator... One of leftards proudest moments.
Cope, seethe, and dilate.
Still haven’t learned what procreation entails?
And frankly... YES... When a family member is dismembered to the point of being UN-able to survive without life-support (machinery) I do support a families wishes to PULL-THE-PLUG without [WE] Power-Mad Gov-Gun freak-jobs who CAN'T MIND THEIR OWN F'EN BUSINESS voting on it.
And Pro-Life isn't even talking about machinery.. They are talking about Women's Bodies. They're using Gov-Guns to FORCE a Woman to reproduce (i.e. Treating them as just 'tools' of State owned 'baby incubators')..... That is FAR, FAR, FAR beyond the enslavement-line of Gov-Guns I'm going to support. It's PERSONAL as in NONE OF UR F'EN BUSINESS!
A fetus is perfectly capable of surviving.
You really are ignorant to basic biology.
ALLOW it to be free then ----> FETAL EJECTION.
Do they merely "eject" the fetus, or do they kill it first?
NOW that is the right topic of discussion...
Which sadly seems to be entirely ignored currently by politicians and activists.
If he answered you honestly Jesse, he knows that he'd sound like a serial killer, so he's never going to do that.
I'm sure his own child's blood is on TJJ2000's hands. That's why he's so desperate to reject biology. He doesn't want to admit to what he's done.
What I have done????
Tried to keep B.S. Gov-Gun dictation OUT-OF people's personal life's.
Tried to support LIMITED government???
Sick-n-F'En tired of [WE] mob dictation in this nation???
Being a fan of Individual Liberty and Justice for all (The USA foundation) instead of being a complete hypocrite when it comes to my special 'unicorn' of imagination???
Pro-Lifers are the one's who need to take a serious look at what they're doing.
Are you also Sqrlsy One by any chance? I could barely make sense of that.
So, what if a woman signs a contract and decides it makes her sad?
R we really playing the "what-if" game when it comes to Gov-Gun threats?
what if just one time a fetus didn't end up a human baby?
OMG! What-if my sperm didn't end up a human baby??
"Murder! Murder!", Screams Pro-Lifers and their wild imaginations.
Who actually have 1-Single agenda of their own.. To feel ever so POWERFUL by pushing Gov-Guns into other people's PERSONAL life's.
try calm.
You’re lost you shit. Get help.
Nope, I want to know if women are entitled to nullify any consequences of their actions because they are women.
Well certainly being able to nullify [WE] mobs dictation of them...
Let's get one thing straight. [WE] mobs are FORCING consequences.
Still haven’t learned how procreation works.
But, but, but.... My 'science' of unicorn survival... /s
Wtf with the unicorn obsession? You into furry shit as well as emo trannies?
Wtf with the unicorn obsession? You into furry shit as well as emo trannies?
Check out his handle on twitter and you'll find out. There's a reason he acts like a entitled degenerate.
When logic fails; there's always personal attacks (brain-dead chicken pecking)....
I'm guessing you made that twitter profile part of your twitter bird brain mentality.
You just want to kill babies out of convenience. Well fuck you, babies have rights too.
And I support a *real* babies right to live.....
I don't need to FORCE a Woman to reproduce.
Fetal Ejection.
Then there is Pro-Life ......... "That's not anyone's wife! That's my 'baby incubator'..", You paraphrased.
No one is supporting raping women you freak.
Nope.... Just supporting Gov-Gun usage of threats to FORCE women to keep reproducing.
A real baby still requires intervention of other people to survive, they are not capable of hunting or foraging.
You have very inconsistent views.
Off into fantasy land again you go... A good sign of illogical B.S. is distraction "what-ifs" of the subject at hand.
Hey look!!! A unicorn!!! /s
So........... To stop being lazy about repeating myself against bigoted minds. You think the right course of the USA is to use Gov-Guns to FORCE people to SUPPLY by SLAVERY everyone's survival needs?
Must be a big fan of Obamacare???
Ah! Dilbert's boss again reaches for the Moot Loser button. This makes maybe a hundred superstitious girl-bullying fascisti, all of them dedicated to forcing women against their will. Ta taaa... Teedy
Cope more.
What first trimester restrictions were overwhelming supported? The first trimester is only 12 weeks, most of these abortions can be handled medically or with minimal surgical procedures.
The Supreme Court threw out those PERSONAL options and decided that *all* pregnant Women were nothing but tools of the State 'incubator' project.
Humorously; They specifically continued to grant person-hood to everyone else they just explicitly exempted Women who are pregnant. Ya know; kind of like how Black-Skin colored people were once explicitly exempted.
The SCOTUS didn t throw out any options, you blithering mongoloid
They sure as heck did throw out "PERSONAL" option when they allowed Gov-Guns to decide the options for them.
Better said as; Government granted 'Rights'(Options) aren't 'rights' at all and are just as easily taken-away by government.
The Supreme court did no such thing. It's post like this that lets everyone know they can just ignore anything you say. You are wildly too emotional.
State Legislative Governments will/will-not grant a right to PERSONAL choice......
Yep; That's exactly what they did.
Relax. With the surgical assistance of the 9th, 13th, 14th and 19th Amendments, the hideous tegatogenic tumor what is the Grab Others' Pussies party will be excised from Lady Liberty before you looters can screech "Weeee Wuz Robbed!" Better luck in Iran, suckers!
I think a lot of extremist pro-lifers got into office simply because the voters assumed it would never be an issue. And most extremist pro-lifers aren't open about their extremism except when in closed groups. (And ditto for the other side). They knew it as a settled issue, so they didn't make a stink about it, merely ticked off their "pro-life" box and moved on, so voters didn't understand their actual position. (But that's democracy for you).
But single issue voters knew, and now we know that single issue voters aren't the only voters. A big shock to single issue voters.
You are correct and any number of Republican candidates avoided the abortion controversy over the years by telling moderate voters that the issue was decided.
No, I think the opposite: that many extremist anti-abortionists are bluffing. Or that they really mean it, but would chicken out if they could do something about it. Just like the voters. The rest of them really do mean it, would carry thru, and are not reticent about shouting their opinion on it to the world. There are practically no closeted extremist anti-abortionists.
Reminds me of my mother. Ardently pro-life, even in the case of rape of ten year olds. But when I ask her if a desperate mother should go to jail for murder, she balks. My mother doesn't seem to understand that "people shouldn't have abortions" combined with "there ought to be a law" leads to people being imprisoned.
So it's a cultural touchstone issue and a lot of people just don't think about the actual consequences if they got their way.
p.s. She's the same thing about gays. She thinks it's horrible and wish they would just go away and not intrude into her world, but doesn't actually want to see anyone in prison. I don't think a lot of people think these things through in terms of boots-on-ground government consequences.
“Reminds me of my mother. Ardently pro-life, even in the case of rape of ten year olds.”
So this whole time you’ve been projecting your mother’s beliefs on everyone here?
Next you’re going to tell me your father is a racist who hates Mexicans. It’s all making sense now.
"Not intrude into her life?" Are a bunch of Gays holding her down, changing her clothes, and doing her hair? 😉
Maybe your mother thinks abortion law should be administered as a white collar, regulatory sort of thing where nobody need go to jail. Like only punished if you're doing it for money, and then the doctor has to pay a fine and go to remedial school to get points off his license, like a driving infraction. Maybe it winds up being done clandestinely by non-physicians so you never hear about it any more. Out of sight, out of mind, hence not a public problem. Like, it's only offensive if you know about it. Illegal but still safe because the people who do them know what they're doing, but you don't find out it exists until you need it yourself, and then you're not telling anybody. I think such a state of affairs would satisfy most people, especially with an unspoken policy of don't ask, don't tell, don't pursue.
Don't ask, don't tell, don't pursue, and most importantly, don't kvetch!
^^THIS....
One of the biggest curses of politics these days is the lack of understanding that 'Law' is enforced by the legal use of GUN threats... The legal ability to GUN threaten, shoot-dead or lock-up is the ONLY item that separates government from any-other run of the mill organization or business...
Politics (GUNS) aren't the instrument to use for one's preferences and when one's preferences are a new TV, a new Car, a Higher paying Job, Health Insurance, Lock-Step beliefs, etc, etc, etc.... It turns "government" who packs GUNS into criminals...
We uphold individual rights against all comers, foreign and domestic. Lying masques like "pro-life" do not disguise monsters who seek to declare non-virgins unpersons, strip them of rights and submit them to involuntary servitude to please the invisible male companions of superstitious swaggerers as before the 13th Amendment outlawed rape and enslavement under color of "ownership of property."
They were happy with the status of abortion, more or less, but that doesn't mean the ruling was proper.
Proper would be that the people OWN themselves (their body) entirely (as per the very definition of Individual Liberty). But the Republican Supreme Court that wrote Roe v Wade gave Pro-Life a little dictation room.
And as it seems to be with all little tastes of Gov-Gun dictation (like heroin) seems to most people there is never enough. Always pushing for their next big hit.
Nothing... Nothing at all in Roe v Wade prevented State legislatures from making the *intentional* killing of fetuses illegal. Pro-Life isn't after saving sh*t... They're after Gov-Gun FORCED reproduction.
You had extremists (both sides, pro-life and pro-choice) being the mouthpieces on this issue. Because there was no cost to be extremist. But now that it has been thrown back to the states, and the actual people (as in, "we the") get to express their opinion in referendums, it turns out most people are NOT extremists.
I'm pro-life, but am dead set against this extremist position that wants to imprison mothers for having a miscarriage and force ten year olds to carry a rapist's impregnation to term. And now Georgia lets you write off your fetus on your tax return. It's fucking nuts. I'm against taxes too, but that one is straight from Bizarro World.
Can you show the law improsoning mothers?
Did you miss the docudrama on TV?
Louisiana wanted it as a capital offense, so that involves a cell until the appeals are exhausted.
Instead of bizzaro, the term you are looking for is intellectually consistant
What you call Bizarre World is actually the reductio ad absurdum of claiming that an embryo or a zygote is a human life which a woman must be forced to carry for nine months. It happened in Ceauçescu's Communist Romania as well and women had to submit to monthly OB-GYN exams to assure they weren't having "accidents."
If you want to use the term "Pro-Life," then be in support of the lives and freedom of actual, viable, rational human beings.
<iWhat you call Bizarre World is actually the reductio ad absurdum of claiming that an embryo or a zygote is a human life which a woman must be forced to carry for nine months.
As is the reductio ad absurdum of claiming a fetus at 8.75 months should be aborted out of convenience.
Keep on thinking that your support for unrestricted abortion is a majority position, rather than 20% of the population, at best.
The exact technical terms are girl-bulliers and individual-rights defenders. Back when the exact same superstitious mentality burned women alive they at least had enough respect for human intelligence to call themselves the Army of God--like the guy who set off bombs in Atlanta.
Meanwhile, activist members of the American Geophysical Union (a professional organization that used to be the most nerdy of the geoscience groups but has become infatuated with social justice) are trying to get the annual convention moved from New Orleans. They claim traveling to Louisiana is "unsafe", because a sciencey pregnant person at a professional meeting might suddenly need an abortion. (This is the wording they actually used.)
and...?
Fuck off and die, asshole.
Are you really this stupid?
Yes.
and...?
... that's stupid?
Um... Sieve-O is what stupid was coined to describe, and Republicans were organized to enlist.
No "and", Joe. That's crazy enough on its own.
"Social Justice" aside, this would be a statement and practice in defense of Individual Rights and Justice.
Kansas! Fucking Kansas, not California or Nevada.
Gee, you think this cherry packed GOP court full of appointees from unelected presidents and 2 stolen seats is not even close to being a legal representation of America in the 21st Century? 19th century Spain maybe.
Election denial is only insurrection when those filthy, deplorable, MAGA-hat wearing types do it.
I am sure Joe stood up for Trump in 2016 and against all those who claimed the election was fraudulent.
What happened in 2016? Did Hillary Clinton refuse to concede? Did anyone try to stop the EC count? Where there fake electors. What happened in 2016 that was different from most other years?
I guess you have memory-holed Russiagate and the blatant abuses of law and power by various agencies to nullify Trump. Or you just think that bogus impeachment charges are the way that civilized people overturn elections.
Both the GOP majority Senate Intel Comm. and Mueller documented collusion between Trump and Russia which sought to help fatso get elected. Putin knew about it and authorized it. Fatso was impeached for trying to overturn the election and stay in power like a rat in the basement and for using government funds to aid his own reelection effort.
Cripes you're dumb, or just a complete tool.
Projecting again?
All of the above. And an appeal and pressure campaign to “faithless electors”. And a move to get rid of the EC
LOL he doesn't even know that, though.
Yes, plenty of democrats were screaming that the 2016 election was illegitimate. Including democrat members of congress.
You're going to get your throat cut for the fraud you personally committed
her embarrassing global trail of tears flights.....cringe for 4 straight years. Not like she used her broom to travel either
hypocritical cunt that she is
Ignorance is bliss for “moderate” lefties.
And for the record still think you’re a parody.
Faithless electors.
Some Democrats voted against certification.
Clinton continued to claim the election was stolen.
A MAJORITY of polled democrats believe Russia altered vote totals, despite zeroevidence of this.
There was LESS evidence of fraud in 2016 than in 2020, but Democrats spent 4 years and millions of government money trying to prove otherwise, while accusing anyone who questions anything about the 2020 election of being deluded.
Yeah. all 6 of them. The majority of House GOP - 147 members - sought to overturn the results.
Perhaps they were 100% right in returning the question to the people.
[WE] mobs rule!!!! /s
Yes, the state legislatures and electoral processes do take precedence when there's no constitutional right to something. Pass an amendment if you want it to be constitutional.
You know what else isn't a "Right" SPECIFICALLY in the Constitution.
Yeah; Tyrannical Propaganda right there....
How about passing amendments to just repeal these two first...
4th Amendment - "The right of the people to be secure in their persons"
13th Amendment - "Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction."
Oh that's right... This article actually specifically was about "The People's" willingness to modify their State Constitution to over-throw those two 'rights'.... Needless to say; YOU LOST!
You should take a pill. Or maybe the whole bottle, along with a triple Jack Daniels.
I don't actually understand what you're trying to say.
A Personal Right to Privacy (UN-necessary government interference) is very well established in the Constitution even if it's not specifically worded.
Where's the right to smoke cigarettes... Where's the right to trim your nails.
Cigarettes is a weird one to bring up since that is incredibly regulated and is probably moving towards being banned by ATF at some point.
Trim your nails feels more like something no one every bothered to argue about.
But, to be clear, you're making a 9th Amendment argument here? Or is this a 4th Amendment argument? This is the problem with reading you, is you're sort of all over the place and don't make very coherent points so one has to sort of read into what you're saying.
Spaz lives matter.
The same people who support (IN-LOVE with) an ATF (UN-Constitutional) Rogue-Regime banning alcohol(minus an amendment to do so), tobacco and firearms are the exact same mentality Pro-Lifers pack around....
Gov-Guns is for you own good. Because You don't own you! [WE] own you!..............
Once upon a time; Government "banning" things for one's own good according to almighty Gov-Gods (i.e. [WE] mobs) wasn't what the USA was about. Once upon a time government ONLY purpose was to ensure Individual Liberty and Justice for all.
What part of "The Grab Others' Pussy party got its ass whipped" is unclear?
One thing is definitely apparent about leftards...
They're all about my [WE] gang RULES!
After all; That's what pure democracy is... And Democrats platform is all about majority [WE] gang RULES without (they ignore) any U.S. Constitution to protect Individual Liberty....
And leftards [WE] gang RULES right now is nothing but growing National Socialism (i.e. Nazism)... Democrats are trying to conquer the USA for Nazism and using cries of "democracy" ([OUR] gang rules!) mentality to do it.
Well, ok, so you disagree vehemently with the 1974 Roe decision. Take that up with the Marshall court.
The Republican majority written Roe v Wade ruling was as Pro-Life as common-sense allows; actually too Pro-Life.
Giving Gov-Gun toting Power-Mad freak-jobs a high on tyrannical personal dictation. As completely demonstrated; there is no boundaries for Gov-Gun Power-Mad freaks and their tyrannical highs/ego's.
It gave State's the authority to FORCE a Woman to keep reproducing past viability (too much). It should've just given State's authority to keep doctors from intentionally killing a fetus. The Woman should have 100% body-rights. What is a personal right if one cannot even own one's own body (self)?
But; That fight wasn't really one worth fighting for... Pro-Life and their LOVE of Gov-Gun PERSONAL dictation just went WAY TOO FAR..
As all Gov-Gun loving dictators do.........
Roe put the question in the hands of the people. People who didn't want an abortion didn't have to have one.
The Kansas abortion vote didn't surprise me, and it's also not an indication of partisan strength. It just means Republicans are more pro-abortion than their leadership thinks, and their rank and file know it. They might want to restrict abortion somewhat, but they're afraid their leadership — like those of both parties, always wanting to stir the pot to exploit their grass roots — would adopt measures far more restrictive than the rank and file want. The abortion issue is partisan only among those with the most extreme opinions on it; most voters hold opinions on it that are not, or only slightly, partisan.
For those of you who don't know from my previous comments here as Robert, Roberta, or Bob, I'm an extremist on the pro-abortion side. I don't expect many to get to my extreme, which countenances infanticide well beyond birth.
The National Lampoon called it postnatal abortion. If a National Socialist altruism gene is ever identified, that may be the signal for reconsidering the nickel-plated 32-caliber surgical tool described in the article. Robert Heinlein was antislavery. Contrarywise, the GOP platform is almost the same as the NSDAP platform when you compare the two. (https://bit.ly/3d4uMH3)
Sure Roberta, no one should associate the GOP with a forced birth agenda. Hey, 2 GOP senators out of 50 are in favor of a federal law allowing abortions and only all the GOP appointees to the SC voted for this - excuse the term - abortion of a decision.
Yeah, a real non-partisan issue.
Do not engage Joe Asshole; simply reply with insults.
Not a one of his posts is worth refuting; like turd he lies and never does anything other than lie. If something in one of Joe Asshole’s posts is not a lie, it is there by mistake. Joe Asshole lies; it's what he does.
Joe Asshole is a psychopathic liar; he is too stupid to recognize the fact, but everybody knows it. You might just as well attempt to reason with or correct a random handful of mud as engage Joe Asshole.
Do not engage Joe Asshole; simply reply with insults; Joe Asshole deserves nothing other.
Eat shit and die, Asshole.
It's partisan only among their leadership (such as elected officials) and the small extremes within their rank and file. Most Republican voters don't align as strongly as their leadership.
Plus, I have a suspicion even the elected officials would chicken out as they did on the Affordable Care Act's repeal. That is, they say they'd do something if they could, but are bluffing.
Exactly. It's easy to have an extremist position when it's only 4% of your own party. Just like Bernie Sanders on the other side demanding shit that would never get close to passage - he's doing it for the street cred.
Only 20% support your extremist "abortion without any restrictions" position, Joe, after 50 years of Roe.
Just a quick reminder as to what a small minority you really are.
"forced birth agenda."
Fuck off death ghoul. Go frolic at an abattoir or a hospice.
Perhaps rank and file are within the 75% "remarkably stable" consensus that believes abortion should be legal... with limits.
I think that's what he was saying. The most abortion-vocal part of the Republican base is the ban-it-outright crowd, which is what the Republican establishment seems to be courting in the wake of Dobbs, even though the majority of voters, including a majority of Republicans, are against banning all abortions.
I in general don't get too surprised about any vote. I really don't have any good understanding of what people want.
“I really don’t have any good understanding…”
Dammit BUCS, ya seem like a good guy/gal/other, but take a stand and stick with it for once! Lol.

TDS-addled assholes who believe Trump sits down with a pencil and a calculator to do his own taxes every year are thrilled beyond imagining.
I remember when libertarians spoke out against going after a citizen instead of a crime.
That’s so 2015.
A significant chunk of people's
lottery winningsmoney from any type of activity actually go to the government.Change money to income and you have a winner.
Yeah, that was basically my thought when I saw that line.
Pro-Life was sprouted by the Catholics (the Democrats Religion).
Pro-Life is a Power-Mad "I'm dictator" [WE] gang initiative.
Pro-Life is putting Gov-Guns in people's PERSONAL-LIFE choices (i.e. Anti-Choice).
Pro-Life is opposite of LIMITED government.
The hypocrisy couldn't get any richer. Not even Trump and John Stossell support such RINO-ism. I'd peg 95% of Pro-Lifer's are that way ENTIRELY due to complete and ignorant party partisanship... (i.e. If either party stopped being entirely hypocrites the issue would over-overwhelmingly switch sides)...
Democrats general religion Catholics founded Pro-Life.
Republicans LIMITED government platform should be Pro-Choice.
If Democrats wanted to make Republicans look like Jack*sses there was no better way than to push Anti-Choice Pro-Life on them. And it pretty much goes without saying any Republican who is staunch Pro-Life is also a RINO and a Jack*ss hypocrite.
If you cannot support ?baby? freedom (i.e. Fetal Ejection)
UR supporting FORCED reproduction...
.....and..... No amount of B.S. propaganda (save the 'unicorns') is going to change that.
So, life begins with the magic trip down the birth canal. A clump of cells that has no rights at all becomes in a single instance of moving down the birth canal or being removed from the womb a full human being.
What exactly changes about that clump of cells to make it a human being other than moving a bit? I am sure you are one of those people who loves science sexually and can explain all of the "science" that explains the incredible transformation from useless clump of cells to human being in an instant.
"explains the incredible transformation from useless clump of cells to human being"
Simple... Utterly simple without all the B.S. propaganda and imaginations... When it's surviving as an Individual instead of just a 'piece of' someone else. Ya know like the difference between my finger nails and a baby.
If you cannot support ?baby? freedom (i.e. Fetal Ejection)
UR supporting FORCED reproduction...
You see; Pro-Life isn't about ?baby? survival or they could support ?baby? freedom... They're entirely about Gov-Gun *FORCED* reproduction.
Pro-Life's never-ending B.S. propaganda has convinced too many sheeple minds that preventing murder has to be equivalent to FORCING a Woman to reproduce.
Outside that B.S. propaganda the most utterly obvious reality exists. If 'murder' is any of their concern they could've passed a law making it illegal for doctors to *intentionally* kill a fetus. (i.e. Fetal Ejection). But NOPE; That obvious reality is ignored like nobodies business.
Simple... Utterly simple without all the B.S. propaganda and imaginations... When it's surviving as an Individual instead of just a 'piece of' someone else. Ya know like the difference between my finger nails and a baby.
So something that has a heart and a brain and can live outside the womb is no longer a human being because they have an umbilically cord connection to a woman.
Nothing arbitrary about that. Whatever gets you through the night sweetheart.
Way to play entirely ignorant about everything I said....
Allow it to be FREE (i.e. an Individual) via Fetal Ejection...
Instead of insisting life revolves around *your imagination*.
If I mischaracterized what you said, and I didn't, you should explain how. You can't do that because this is exactly what you said. You just don't have a response. Instead of thinking and modifying your views, you just scream about how unfair I am.
Pathetic. Again, there is nothing magical about the process of being born. The fetus doesn't change or gain any new functions it didn't have before. It is just no longer in the womb.
If I mischaracterized what you said, and I didn't, you should explain how. You can't do that because this is exactly what you said. You just don't have a response. Instead of thinking and modifying your views, you just scream about how unfair I am.
Proving once again that abortion maximalists don't actually want to confront the fact that they are the tiny minority--instead, you get a lot of misdirection and handwaving, like you see in the thread.
Religious zealots gotta zealot.
"It is just no longer in the womb"
SO STOP PUSHING LAWS TO FORCE IT TO BE IN A WOMB!!!!
Omg.... The brainwashing from Pro-Life has literally destroyed human reasoning.
Pretty sure the brainwashed psychopaths are the ones who want to kill people, believe in the birth canal fairy, and insist that there's a Catholic conspiracy to secretly change all dictionaries, because they don't like definitions that have existed in English since Shakespearean times.
Don't kill my imaginary unicorn! /s
You think a fetus is imaginary?
I think claiming a fetus as a 'baby'/person/individual when there is absolutely ZERO *reality* of it being a 'baby'/person ( which is actually exactly what Roe v Wade ruled on the subject.... i.e. viability ) is nothing but imaginary creatures of one's own imagination and isn't any sort of bases to bring out Gov-Guns of dictation.... It's just like selling chickens before they hatch (fraudulent-sales).
You have quite a deranged imagination.
Bring out Gov-Guns and make it stop!!! Tyrant dictator wanna-be.
Plenty Gov-Gun about murdering people.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aktion_T4
That about covers it...
Pro-Life, "My imagination makes your deranged imagination MURDER!" lol.....
And everyone has a right to have an imagination; They don't have the right to use Gov-Guns to FORCE their imagination (i.e. indoctrination) on other people's life's... Why it truly is STUFFING one's religion onto another.
Briggs : "I am sure you are one of those people who loves science sexually and can explain all of the "science" that explains the incredible transformation from useless clump of cells to human being in an instant."
TJJ2000: "When it's surviving as an Individual instead of just a 'piece of' someone else."
See? It's all just magical bullshit from these serial killers. They won't actually talk about biology, because the second that they do the monstrousness of their position becomes immediately apparent.
The only thing they can do is squawk phony emotional gibberish and sloganeering like this:
"Fetal Ejection... UR supporting FORCED reproduction... They're entirely about Gov-Gun *FORCED* reproduction.
Unless they were "FORCED" to fuck, they participated in reproduction willingly, hotshot.
But, but, but; My "Science" trumps *reality* when Gov-Guns are on the line!!!!
Now where have I heard that B.S. before... (i.e. Climate Nut-Jobs)
Science doesn't trump reality, it is reality. A reality you don't want to acknowledge.
Oh the 'faithful' and their B.S...... You want it to be a person???
PROVE-IT... Set it free... Free the Fetus and let's move-on with another "person"....
Oh yeah; that's right... 100% of the time reality is - Pre-viable pregnancies have ZERO chance of being a person... Only your imaginary 'faith' has that kind of power.
Exactly like Climate Nut-Jobs and their imaginary 'faith' that the earth is killing us all (?murder?) because someone puffed out some CO2...
Pro-Life tyrannical dictators (excuse exhibit #23421436)....
"If anyone f*cks, they ?deserve? to be FORCED to reproduce by [OUR] gov-gun threats.... Oh but we're not tyrannical [WE] mobster hotshots --- [WE] will pretend your doing it willingly (just accept you deserve our Gov-Gods dictating your personal life/body)... And just never-mind those [WE] Gov-Guns threatening to kill or imprison you if you don't. (law)"
But what makes that kind of individual a thing that should be treated differently from other living things? Speciesism?
I don't think any living thing has undergone such a change until it has enough awareness to have expectations of a future and a desire to keep living. Otherwise no value is lost by killing it.
"So, life begins with the magic trip down the birth canal. A clump of cells that has no rights at all becomes in a single instance of moving down the birth canal or being removed from the womb a full human being."
--------
Legally, yes.
Morally, what the government says doesn't matter.
If you don't like the law, your state legislature is the proper place to argue for its change.
Yeah; Because pregnant women don't own themselves! [WE] mobsters packing Gov-Guns do!!! /s
This guy TJJ2000 is a grey box waiting to happen.
That one IS a whack box, right between Titless Pollo and Tk lamenick. I guess I'll blog the entire list of girl-bullier Tea-Party *ssholes to make it easier for folks to pick them off and get a clear view of libertarian commenters (and our pet communist Tony).
No, they're not, if they're like that of Kansas, where the issue was an implication of the state constitution's reference to "autonomy". Since that's about all libertarians argue the issue on, you know that doesn't settle it! So it's really an appeal to an authority that decides court cases based on legal language, precedent, or just whatever the last judge wanted.
Objectivists argue from the language of the Constitution (personhood) and of individual rights (moral claims to freedom of action). Republican fascism appeals to collectivized (hence counterfeit) "rights" much like what the New Deal used to appease the 700% increase in communist fanaticism brought about by Republican insistence (at gunpoint) that what they imagined to be vices were crimes, even absent victims or mens rea. The Crash, Depression, were caused by coercive Republican fanatics.
Remember when Democrats were all concerned about Anti Asian hate? Yeah, neither do I. This woman is just a typical white person and the kids who assaulted her no doubt could be Obama's sons. So, she was asking for it or something.
https://legalinsurrection.com/2022/08/four-kids-attack-beat-70-year-old-asian-woman-in-san-francisco-complex/
Oh, I thought you were going to post this one that happened in Times Square yesterday.
How many kids does Obama have?
Millions. We are all Obama's sons.
The Genghis Kahn of the 21st Century.
Or the one from a week or so ago. Or the one from a week or so before that, or a week or so before that…
Easy, they just need to change the definition of Asian.
To the extent that any Asian hate existed in the first place, it was almost always from the same race of people.
Life in the Libertarian moment man. This case has two things reason loves, letting people out of prison early and a transgender. Reason would support everything the state did in this case including putting a man who had been convicted of murdering two women in a women's homeless shelter because he "identified as a woman."
Neither of these claims is true, as a recent story in the New York Times shows. “How did a two-time killer get out to be charged again at age 83?” reads the Times headline. That killer was arrested at age 83 for killing someone, after previously spending three decades in prison for killing one girlfriend, and before that, spending twenty years in prison for killing an earlier girlfriend. Twice, the killer had been paroled and released after deliberately murdering someone.
The New York Times story is about Marceline Harvey, “a transgender woman who transitioned at some point after her release from prison.” That means Harvey spent decades in prison as male-identifying biological man, only to identify as a woman after being released from prison around age 80.
A parole panel released Harvey in 2019, despite Harvey’s prior killings of two women. Harvey later was allowed to stay in a women’s shelter after identifying as a woman. As the New York Times notes, “a homeless shelter worker and people close to Ms. Leyden questioned whether, despite her gender identity, Ms. Harvey should have been placed in a homeless shelter for women, given her history of attacking and murdering them.”

Don't think of it as murder. Think of it at 75th trimester abortion.
"Don't think of it as freeing a baby from a prison cell.. Think of it as murder...", Pro-Lifers
Will fantasies ever cease when Gov-Gun threat dictation is on the line.
So if you die before you were going to end up in prison, you didn't really die? Jesus Christ what is wrong with you?
So if you aren't alive yet before you are going to be "murdered" you aren't really alive??? /s Uh.. Yes Sir.. That's how it works... Idiot...
This is like that movie Idiocracy.... If you have one bucket that hold 2 gallons and another bucket that holds 5 gallons how many buckets do you have??? (face of omg wtf...)
Even better... If you have 2 not-pregnant people and 5 pregnant people how many people do you have? Yeah; Pro-Life is really that retarded.
And the idiot Supreme Court ruled... Well, in 'my' own personal imagination (we call 'potential' life) a 5-gallon bucket is actually 5-buckets cause it's 'potential' for more buckets that don't exist in the equation...
People and their imaginative creatures when it comes to *excuses* to make themselves feel empowered with Gov-Gun dictation of others (the 'icky' people).
I, for one, am glad we got another 16 paragraphs about abortion and almost ZERO mention of any other election results. I was not previously aware of ENB's take on the issue.
That's how you know it was a bad night for the Cocktail Party.
Apparently MAGA cleaned up.
Still won't save us.
A significant chunk of people's lottery winnings actually go to the government.
That's called the income tax. We all hate it, but it hasn't exactly been "news" since 1913.
If I won the lottery, it would be the one time I didn't mind paying income taxes. I didn't do anything to earn the money anyway. So, it wouldn't bother me if the government took a chunk. It is all free money, unlike the money I have to earn.
It sure became news when whipped out in 1927 as a proxy for prohibition enforcement. The Great Depression was triggered precisely by the combination of a communist income tax and Czarist Christian Prohibition. Both were exported to gullible America and the resulting disaster is still denied and evaded by Gee-Ooooh-Pee looters.
If the Democrats were savvy (they aren't really) they'd hammer abortion home all the way to November.
Republicans are the pro-rapist party who want to force 10 year olds to have their rapist's baby even if the girl dies doing so. Shout it from the rooftops. It's time to see these extremists for who they really are.
Perhaps you would be happier on Vox.
That would be stupid of Democrat candidates for Congress, but of course they are driven to stupidity lately. What they should do is make enough perfunctory noise to raise the funds they need from their donors, and then hammer away at some hobby horse of voters in their district that is strongly affected by federal policy. It could be a matter of bringing home the bacon, throwing federal roadblocks up against some project in the district, or the like. A stance that comports with Democratic policy generally (i.e. spend other people's money on us, stop progress that offends us) and that hits home.
"If the Democrats were savvy (they aren't really) they'd hammer abortion home all the way to November."
It's funny to me that you think this isn't what they were going to do in the first place.
Libertarians did that and our votes share grew 12% a year while it lasted. That and legalize consciousness-expanding were the factors we got from the Buffalo and Human Rights party. The economic stuff came from Ayn Rand, Heinlein, Spooner, Bastiat, Friedman Sr, and not Lootvig Fon Meeses or failed economist impersonator Rottbart.
Raspy knows that, but he needed to phrase it in a way that makes him feel like the smartest human ever.
He’s still patting himself on the back now…
There you go, Reason. We returned a contentious, non-constitutionally protected issue to the people in a notably conservative state, and democracy rejected what was seen as a draconian infringement.
You see, Reason. Perhaps you might have a little more confidence in your fellow authoritarian flyover country rubes and deplorables.
Yep. While disappointed by the outcome, I still see this as a huge, huge improvement.
What's the matter with Kansas, indeed.
Any Grabber-Of-Pussies with cojones would stop whining, grab a gun, join the Army of God and rush out and coerce some uppity women or elite post-preppies with medical degrees. G'wan redneck hillbilly! Give the cops some worthwhile game to bag so they can be liked again. I'll even reblog your obituary, honest!

I sometimes wonder if the partisan positions on abortion could have flipped the other way early on. Religion aside, I could see liberals as champions of the oppressed and powerless (as they pathologically do for just about everyone else). And I could see conservatives promoting abortion as a way to keep out more of those "undesirable" people, which would enrage the liberals even more.
Eliminating "undesirable" people has largely been a Democrat goal for much of the party's existence. Other than a brief foray into progressivism in the early 20th century (Oliver Wendall Holmes, notably), Republicans have mostly steered clear of promoting eugenics.
The leftist position on abortion is even worse than eliminating the undesirables. As bad as eugenics is, it at least acknowledges that those people deemed "worthy" have a right to life and should live. Leftists today don't even believe that. They see abortion as a good thing and something worth celebrating no matter what. It doesn't matter how fit or worthy the child is, in the leftist view, it is always better for it to be dead.
It is seriously sick and twisted shit.
Abortion has become a leftist death cult. As you correctly point out, there is nothing particularly leftist about abortion. There are plenty of leftist arguments that can be made against abortion and a lot of leftists were anti abortion for a long time.
For reasons I don't fully understand, abortion was adopted as the only acceptable leftist position. Worse still, that evolved over time from "safe legal and rare" to women bragging about getting abortions and abortion being considered a good thing and preferable to giving birth. The whole thing is insane. I have to wonder if the adoption of full on abortion fanaticism hasn't in some way contributed to the American left's and center left in particular overall dissent into straight up madness over the last 30 years.
The Democrats and the American "left" never have been actually liberal.
It's always been a pose for protecting the interests of the gentry class.
Fuck, I frequently think the Dem-vs.-Rep positions on many individual issues or a panoply of them could've been opposite of how they've shaken out. They don't really sit as a coherent whole.
See "Canadian Liberals and American Libertarians." Republicans were thinned out after Tricky's nazi mask slipped. They even supported the ERA until the Court copied the LP polition into Roe. Then the Prohibition Party went ballistic and demands came thick and fast for an Amendment to coerce women to breed at gunpoint. SAAAAY... wasn't that what the election in Kansas was about?
I could> see the parties flipping over gun control (well, they've already "flipped over" that) based on how the Democrats believe the pro-gun side is the "criminals' lobby" and the Democrats were pro-criminal in 2020. Like, maybe the Democrats should decide to make the connection explicit, be avowedly "pro-crime" and hence "pro-gun", while the Republicans are for "law and order" and hence "anti-gun". But that'd mean the Democrats could just abandon politics in favor of the more effective, "Take a gun and kill everybody you don't like."
five bucks says in ironic twist ENB has not yet removed "What's the Matter with Kansas?" from the bookshelf
LOL at the idea that ENB reads anything longer than 140 characters
This made me LOL, because we all know it's true.
Actually, ENB is a lot more more literate than all the rape-minded Trumpanzee infiltrators here combined--a factor of well over a hundred. No Reason writer, not even Nick, is as lame as Twerp-o-bleatic... Hello? grey box eat sockpuppet?
That's why abortion ballot initiatives like this one in Kansas are a good way to actually leave the question of abortion's legality up to the residents of each state.
The only thing I don't like about this is that the vote was up or down, but that's because it was related to the amendment rather than just a law. States should set their laws based on referenda which allow the respondents to indicate through which week or milestone they believe abortion should be legal. Wherever they cross 50% cumulative is the new law.
Appeal to the population is the only way to settle a matter both so contentious and controlled by the extremes. When these circumstances exist representative legislation is corrupted.
"an option currently blocked by a 2019 state Supreme Court finding that the Kansas Constitution's guarantee of "equal and inalienable rights" included a "natural right of personal autonomy" that protected abortion access."
I'm about as anti-abortion as you can get, but I don't have a problem with the no vote.
The problem wasn't with the constitution, the problem was with the state supreme court ruling, not applying the natural right of personal autonomy to the child.
BTW I'm still following the 10 yr old rape case, since the media has [mostly] forgotten it. Once again, the dates and facts that the media has used to fact check Republicans on this issue are still fascinating to me.
To wit:
So, putting aside my (still valid) thesis of abortion activists winning the lottery under the rarest of rare circumstances within the 7 day period of when they need to win that lottery, this article reminds us that Joe Biden mentioned this case on June 30th. So the story of this case was placed into his mouth two days before the Indiana abortion provider reported it to authorities. Because the fact-checking news debunking Republicans claims she reported it on July 2nd, which was, according to the Fact-checking industry, within the three day reporting requirement for such cases, so 'hahaha, attorney General of Ohio, she didn't break the law!'
Here's the problem: I don't dispute those facts, I accept them.
So that means that activists were able to get this case into Joe Biden's mouth and into the ears of the public a full two days before she reported it to authorities.
Well when the abortion provider is a pro-abortion activist, it makes sense. She was on the phone before she finished consulting. "You have GOT to hear this!" She had the media ready to go before she finished the procedure.
Yeah, a rarer-than-rare rape case came into Ohio. The case was transferred to a known abortion activist who had been giving speeches at an Indianapolis abortion rally on the 27th of June. By the 30th, the abortion had been performed and made it to the President's staff. She reported the abortion on July 2nd to authorities which was, according to fact checkers, within the required 3 day reporting period. And none of this was a manipulation.
I've heard a much more concerning alternative to this being "a rarer-than-rare rape case." This was a girl, seemingly raped by either her mom's boyfriend or a family friend. The mother seemed really not to want it to get out that this had happened and an quiet abortion is a relatively clean way to sneak past that this rape took place at all.
So, the concerning thing is perhaps this is much more common than stats say and it just gets covered up.
Well, there's the other stuff I researched (which I won't hash out in detail here) but pregnant 10 yr old's appears to be, based on statistics, damn rare. Damn... rare. But I'm not denying she was impregnated. I'm suggesting that the case was manipulated to try to nudge a political outcome. And given what we know about the activist left, especially given their ability to find 30 hmmhmm years-past rape cases for long-serving prominent judges, this seems less and less unlikely. I mean, for chrissakes, at least the Joe Biden rape accusations had been clunking around in the footwell of America's political Studebaker for 25 years.
But I've been considering the rarity of a 10 yr old girl in a state of "precocious puberty" (the medical term for a girl under 12 who's ovulating/menstruating and is capable of being impregnated)... if it's so much less rare than I suggest it is, and I'm totally wrong on all of this, we'll be seeing a few dozen in the next few weeks and months, I suspect.
No, I know. And my fear is that the statistics are skewed and there is a strong tendency to use abortion as a means to cover up this type of incident.
I have no idea though. That was just a disconcerting fear I read.
Nobody answered any questions about it. Why didn't the mother report the rape to police, but somehow the police were either preemptively or immediately notified of the abortion? The NPR story didn't bother to supply a transcript of the testimony, but they claim the detective testified about the abortion in court one day after it occurred.
There is a lot of bullshit surrounding the story. The fact-checking is pretty fucking circular.
you would be surprised how HIPAA is violated regularly by physicians and medical staff when motivated for their own reasons. The 10 year old girl and her mother were used big time by the Dems
Because the fact-checking news debunking Republicans claims she reported it on July 2nd, which was, according to the Fact-checking industry, within the three day reporting requirement for such cases,
The timeline only works if the news got all the way to Biden within a day. Is that likely? If so it shows the priority Dems place on political news. Why sometimes I suspect that's all they care about.
Nerve impulses from his extremities don't get to Biden within one day.
any unborn child with a detectable human heartbeat
Emphases added. Let the lawsuits begin.
Versus any actual person, with detectable 1st, 2nd, 4th, 9th, 13th and 19th Amendment rights. Bring 'em on, Moe-hammed!
"It looks like @RepMeijer, a honorable, principled moderate Republican lost his primary in Michigan."
Because Democrats don't want to run against principled moderate Republicans.
Democrats don't want to run against principled moderate Republicans.
Maybe being in favor of giving government the power to infringe on people's natural right to keep and bear arms, voting with Biden 36% of the time, voting to send $40 billion to Ukraine, voting for unconstitutional garbage like the Violence Against Women Act and believing government involvement in climate change is a moral imperative makes you principled. Apparently you can do all that and be a Republican. It just doesn't make you a conservative.
So is this like the subtle difference between Positive Christian National Socialist and Credere, Obbedire, Combattere caudillo fascist Axis losers? One example was strung upside down at a gas station and riddled. The other needed only one bullet hole before being soaked in gasoline and torched with his cornservative Christian Bundes Madschen galpal. Which was the winner?
That's great ENB, this is how it's supposed to work.
I can see why the Democrats would be so happy about the Kansas vote - it gives them an issue to run on for the midterms by showing just how extremist the Republicans in Red states like Kansas are. They're so extreme they voted down an abortion ban by a wide margin - how much more extreme could you be?
"Some Republicans want to ban Google and Apple from marking political campaign emails as spam..."
What are the numbers of non-Republican political campaign adds the get rejected as spam by Google and Apple?
Republicans who are raising the issue would help their cause by revealing numbers of rejected emails for all campaign emails. And if the numbers show the non-Republican campaign emails are treated the same, then the R's have no issue, otherwise, they have a major issue. So show the numbers!!
Buy their stock, toss out the non-Trumpanzees, and YOU show us the numbers... if you can count that high.
"would reserve to the people of Kansas, through their elected state legislators, the right to pass laws to regulate abortion, including, but not limited to, in circumstances of pregnancy resulting from rape or incest, or when necessary to save the life of the mother"
OK, do I understand that this would have allowed abortion bans in cases of rape, incest, or when needed to save the mother's life?
The part about the mother's life is shocking because it seems to confirm the "prochoice" talking points that the prolifers would actually have women get killed (which, I understand, is not really medically necessary).
As to rape and incest, there's still a broad segment of "moderate" opinion which wants to punish the rapist by aborting the fetus. Or which sees abortion as a reward for "good girls" whose pregnancy wasn't their fault. These "moderates" would do what prolifers in general are accused of doing - ban abortion as punishment for promiscuous behavior.
I don't think you can get together a majority to ban rape/incest abortions. Nor would they proclaim a willingness to sacrifice the mother's life.

Keeping up with the news, huh? Finger on the pulse of political thought, eh?
Bill Kristol's only conservative belief is that he wants to conserve his income stream by changing all of his views to progressive ones. Including "fuck it, let's kill all of the dark skinned folks!"
So to be clear, the SC pushing abortion back to the states, did not end the world as we know it?!
Wasn't everyone supposed to be dead by now because Trump repealed Net Neutrality anyway?
It hasn’t. Which explains the _relatively_ low energy reaction from The Left. Most liberals/progressives live in states where the laws guarantee abortion rights.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH, H... (cough, cough) heh... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
In the movie, the evil sonofabitch hid in the attic to flicker the gaslights. You just stand in the same room flipping the light switch and telling us we are the crazy ones.
I hope you die gasping for air, Mikey. Whether it is from COVID or Zyklon B.
It is on its way to ridding the world of the last redoubt of Positive Christian National Socialism, and none too soon. Please take your Trumpanzee Anschluss with you when you leave.
No, we're all dead because he visited North Korea. Or because of his poor response to Covid. Or because he had an "austere religious scholar" killed. Or because he gets two scoops of ice-cream instead of one.
This was a reply to Briggs Cunningham post just above.
A formerly National Socialist State has just been denazified by a 60-40 margin. Now is a good time to reset the Libertarian Party to our original pro-choice platform with no child-molester or anarcho-communist planks. We were increasing vote share by 12% a year, poised to replace half of the looter Kleptocracy before the infiltrators and Trojan horses FDR warned against arrived. The harder, angrier, girl-bullying Tea Party infiltrators can go back to Alabama, Wallace, Nixon, Bush-Bush and Trump.
Trump was Pro-Choice FYI...
"also believe Roe should be upheld"
Yet another Twitter Blue Checkmark who doesn't actually understand what Roe said. Roe did not say "abortion should be legal in Kansas", it said "states don't get to decide". This vote is exactly what overturning Roe allowed. The voters in Kansas got to decide because Roe was overturned, not upheld.
Your tyrannical belief....
"The politicians in Kansas get to decide" what that persons wife in Kansas HAS to do about her pregnancy....
Because [WE] mobs rule UN-Limitedly... Especially when they get to pack around Gov-Guns and dictate OTHER PEOPLE in a matter than is absolutely and unquestionably NONE OF THEIR F'EN BUSINESS....
That's what over-turning Roe did. It made every pregnancy in the USA property of the State and since a pregnancy is but a function of a person it essentially gave the State ownership of said person.
Thankfully; Kansas court wasn't as tyrannically dictative as Pro-Life [WE] mobsters and CORRECTLY ensured Individual Liberty against [WE] Gov-Gun packing tyrants...
So the [WE] Tyrants who keep insisting on Gov-Gun dictating everyone's PERSONAL life's about their PERSONAL pregnancy which they claim is State Property tried to amend the Kansas Constitution to THWART the current Constitution and allow [WE] tyrants Gov-Gun access to pimp out pregnant women by gun-pointing threats...
Humorously and thankfully; They weren't just rejected.. They were massively rejected. They couldn't even get a majority [WE] mobs rule let alone one to Amend the Constitution (taking for granite Kansas does just willy-nilly amend by [WE] mobster demands).
