Brickbat: Dressed Down

Three female Winnfield, Louisiana, police officers approached Casey LaCaze-Lachney at a street music festival, and one of them cited her for indecent exposure. LaCaze-Lachney was wearing a crop top and cut-off denim shorts at the time. The indecent exposure charge carries a fine of up to $300 and up to 40 hours of community service. When LaCaze-Lachney hired a lawyer to fight the charge, they were told the police department had no bodycam video of her being cited. But a bystander had captured part of the encounter on video. After LaCaze-Lachney posted a TikTok video of herself in the clothes she was wearing when she was cited, the department dropped the charges and Police Chief Johnny Ray Carpenter apologized, with both he and the city attorney reportedly admitting her outfit did not violate the law.

Did they pay her legal fees?
I suspect not.
But it was her fault anyway, because...
...she was wearing a short skirt.

No long jacket or fingernails that shine like Justice, though. Still, I would defend her Pro Bono...and just would. 🙂

Cops just needed an excuse to get close and ogle the girl.
ogle
[ oh-guhl ]
verb
to look at amorously, flirtatiously, or impertinently.
to eye; look or stare at.
So she was being negged by lesbians?
Female cops. Yes.
They were dykes who I am sure were fat and almost bald. They didn't like the fact that she looked so attractive and they will never unless it is to a fatter balder dyke or lesbian. Good on the person who took the video it keeps honest cops honest.
Look at Mr./Miss/Ms/Xe biologist here.
I began one comment and then detoured to thinking that Defining each word as we go may be an interesting future for our language. Should the convention be to put the definition in-line, asterisked, or formal foot-notes.
It would be interesting to see someone say (vocally)... "I propose Democracy, the common people especially when constituting the source of political authority meaning not the absence of hereditary or arbitrary class distinctions or privileges meaning, when I say that we need...
One problem has been hijacking terms and twisting the meaning (such as has been done with 'liberal'). While very clumsy it would certainly eliminate the ability to use a sound-bite gotchas against you. A huge plus is that it may educate those-most-vulnerable-amongst-us who have no access to a dictionary, by which I mean, a reference source in print or electronic form containing words usually alphabetically arranged along with information about their forms, pronunciations, functions, etymologies, meanings, and syntactic and idiomatic uses.
Most contemporary dictionaries are less than useless since Big Brother's Progs took them over.
Only trust printed dictionaries more than 25 years old.
"Liberal" means nothing any different today than it did 250 years ago: revolutionary violence in service to an egalitarian Utopian total state. The French and American revolutions in all their genocidal glory are the embodiment of "liberalism".
the embodiment of "liberalism"
Is property rights, with self being the first property. Woodrow Wilson ushered in an unpalatable party of Progressives, who very soon took over the Democrat Party and used the term 'liberal' to mean enslavement.
You are correct in that today's liberals are indeed continuing through violence and intimidation the counter-revolution against the primacy of property rights.
Didn't you read carefully? It was three female police officers who cited her. Punished her for making them feel inferior
If you followed the link to the news article, you'd know that the picture at the top of the Reason article is a model, not her. She's not pretty-faced nor in particularly good shape. If 3 female officers all looked worse than her, I suspect that department badly needs a mandatory physical fitness program.
Three female Winnfield, Louisiana, police officers...
Me-ow x 3.
I'm getting deja vu over this story.
This story is fascinating to me, so I dug deeper. From the Shreveport Times
https://www.shreveporttimes.com/story/life/2022/07/13/charges-dismissed-apology-louisiana-woman-cited-shorts-crop-top/10047334002/
"Hayes reports that Carpenter stated that Lieutenant Chuck Curry instructed the three police officers to issue that indecent exposure citation. Winnfield Police Communications Officer Doris Pailet confirmed one of the three officers was Lt. Curry's wife, Angie Curry.
"This means that the ordinance was improperly enforced not just by three lower level officers, but by the police department's lieutenant," explained Hayes. "It also means that those officers failed to turn on their body cameras even though they were responding to a matter to which they had been directed by the lieutenant."
We might see a lawsuit targeting this entire group of overly-smug police officers (and their wives!).
So the female officers were just following a man's orders?
And that a lieutenant's wife is under him in the chain of command.
Then there is that it took four officers to seve an indecent exposure citation.
Serr8d,
Thank you for that link to the Shreveport paper.
First off, Shreveport criminals are all in their 20’s and kill people with crossbows and cars.
Then they take selfies and admit to taking drugs and driving, or just leave murder weapons in their cars.
As a out of shape 60 year old man, I am qualified to comment on that young woman’s body.
The shorts are too tight and cause a serious muffin top.
She is pretty with nice breasts, but is covered in ugly tattoos.
So I would not have sex with her.
Unless it was dark and I was drunk
This is the kind of news I can use
Yeah, sure you wouldn't.
"We might see a lawsuit targeting this entire group of overly-smug police officers"
Qualified Immunity!
So Lieutenant Curry sent his wife inter Alia to do the arrest. Not only conflict of interest and neopotism, but no doubt also some kinky dynamic involved in their relationship. Man proves loyalty to Wife and fulfills her Dominatrix fantasies by sending her to arrest a sexily-clad woman. Hmmm... 🙂
Now it's time to file IA complaints against the four officers involved and file a lawsuit.
That'll just be written off to qualified immunity, as the officers had never been trained not to charge skanky women with indecent exposure.
It is my "sincerely held belief" that we all have a fuckin'-A 1A right to behold her as well as consensually hold her. 🙂
What we need are common sense jealousy control laws!
They're called humblers and Hopalong Chastity belts. 🙂
Clearly, we need stricter public attire laws to keep women from walking around looking like prostitutes.
Tattoo'd ladies hardest hit?
(...that stock photo lady is not the real Casey...if I were that stock photo lady I'd sue for libel o_0 )
But what will prostitutes wear?
A: Masques.
A scarlet "A"
nothing?
Is this some viral ear-worm YouTube song? 😉
So you're objecting to the impersonation? 😉
"Three female Winnfield, Louisiana, police officers approached Casey LaCaze-Lachney at a street music festival, and one of them cited her for indecent exposure."
And that's how you take out the competition, right, girls?
"competition"
...have you followed the link in the article and viewed the real Casey? NTTAWWT if you prefer the trailer park primitivism archetype... )
Would.
Would and would. Preferably as a threesome with some mutual Futanari action. 🙂
Also, Reason: your stock photo is a bait and switch.
Yeah, the real pictures would have sufficed.
Speak for yourself.
As long as it's legal bait, I won't complain.
Watched a video, cute girl. You think maybe the LT has some nefarious objectives?
I call bullshit on this story. Cops never apologize.
Kind of a strange complaint coming from some pathetic loser who brags 25 years after the fact about supposedly spitting in people's food when he was working as a fry cook who never encountered a Cuban sandwich and still calls his ex-wife a cunt on a weekly basis for having the audacity to remove her daughter from a household where her daddy was fucking her on the regular.
The extreme puritanism in some part of the culture continue to amaze me.
Puritan: Someone with a deep rooted fear that someone else, somewhere, might be showing some ankle.
Puritianism actually describes "purifying" the reformed church of Roman Catholic practices, but hey, you've happily demonstrated that you're a stupid piece of shit on every other conceivable topic, you might as well throw in some historical illiteracy as well.
Also considering you're firmly on the side of the Andrea Dworkin set, maybe think twice before trying to call anyone a moralist (that's the term you were far, far, far, far, far too stupid to know you were looking for, by the way. Hope that helps).
Yeah, it's a figure of speech.
You're both right. Puritanism was both purifying the Reformed Church and and a bunch of wet-blanket Authoritarian Theocrats. Both a poisonous floor polish and a nasty desert topping. 🙂
shouldn't have worn the inside shorts outside.
I've seen her pictures. She can pull that outfit off. So I declare she be cited for decent exposure.
She has a hint of a muffin top going on, maybe? Don't know if that's a crime, and if it is a fashion crime it's far less of a crime than the return of ridiculously high waisted pants the last couple years.
Seriously, her outfit is perfectly fine for a music festival. There's nothing close to indecent about it. Those shorts are downright bulky by the standards of what young women wear around here in the summer.
I love the ridiculously high standards of attractiveness you find in internet comments. I'd say its a stretch to call that "muffin top". All nice, smooth curves there, no sudden change of direction at the waist band. I'm going to concur that she pulls it off quite well.
Now picture this outfit on Lizzo.
She's more interesting than the fakey-assed, over-produced picture Reason put on the post, that's for damn sure.
"Muffin top?". Well, we can all do with a dose of fiber. 🙂
The REAL story here is that she didn't talk her way out of the citation, because female cops.
