Review: Justice Is…
Preet Bharara's new children's book, Justice Is... purports to be "a guide for young truth seekers."

In 2015, Reason got hit with a subpoena after online commenters said some unkind things about a federal judge. The signature on that subpoena (which was quickly followed by a gag order) belonged to Preet Bharara, U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York at the time.
Bharara has gone on to modest acclaim as a podcaster and pundit, and now apparently as a children's book author. Justice Is… purports to be "a guide for young truth seekers." At 187 words, 13 of which are the word Justice, the text of the book is only a few words longer than this review and the prose is subpar even for the unpleasant genre of political celeb kid lit.
This book was never going to get a glowing review from Reason, but we regret to inform parents of young truth seekers that even Bharara's subpoena was better written.

Wow, so the “No enemies on the Left” doesn’t apply only if they directly attack Reason and the Reasonistas.
Justice is a woodchipper for overreaching Federal prosecutors.
A well-chopped review, finely ground, and finally useful for mulch. Like this print run should be.
An appropriate review for this, er, pamphlet.
Calling it a "book" seems insulting to writers.
Fuck Preet Bharara.
Is that too "unkind"?
No, too kind. Also, too reserved, the language not coarse enough, and you forgot to include SDNY. It is telling that the egomaniac has branched out into attempting to poison the youngest minds w/ his perversion of justice. Or perhaps simply telling that he is writing at his level, and at the level for most of his fans.
Fuck Preet Bharara, and may he suck the dicks of a thousand dead dogs—and may he be forced to subscribe to Reason magazine.
Katherine's tone is quite chipper.
As Chesterton (might have) said, it is terrible to contemplate how few politicians are woodchippered.
There exists in such a case a certain institution or law; let us say, for the sake of simplicity, a woodchipper erected behind a shed. The more modern type of reformer goes gaily up to it and says, “I don’t see the use of this; let us clear it away.” To which the more intelligent type of reformer will do well to answer: “If you don’t see the use of it, I certainly won’t let you clear it away. Go away and think. Then, when you can come back and tell me that you do see the use of it, I may allow you to destroy it.”
The Reason commenter tells the modern reformer, "bend over and look into it and you might be able to tell what it is. I'll be right behind you."
