Brickbat: Rules Are for Little People

Members of the Webster, New York, school board had parent Dave Callus pulled from his chair and removed from a board meeting for not wearing a mask. But just days before that, Superintendent Brian Neenan and board members Jennifer Birdsong and Janice Richardson posed maskless with Democrat State Assembly member Jen Lunsford for a photo that was tweeted by Lunsford. Neenan did not respond to media inquiries, but Lunsford justified taking the photo while students are forced to wear masks by saying everyone in the photos removed their masks only long enough to take the shot.

They held their breath too, just not long enough.

What amazes me is that even after this continuous drone of similar incidents and all of the frustration and failure and popular anger...
41% still say Biden is doing a bang-up job.
The hardcore yellow dog Democrat still says "great job on the economy".
Even if your answer is " I think my team D guys are doing better than those awful team R guys would have done", how can you say you approve of their performance on these issues?
It defies all logic and common sense. But that is where we are.
Most people really, truly believe their team can do no wrong.
"Even if your answer is " I think my team D guys are doing better than those awful team R guys would have done", how can you say you approve of their performance on these issues?"
Because there is no nuance anymore, everything is black and white. If team R would have done a bad job, then by default team D must be doing a good job.
"41% still say Biden is doing a bang-up job."
Where would he be if the Media didn't prop him up?
I'm not sure I buy those polls as being accurate. He's consistently in the shitter with independents, and I don't think there are that many hardcore d's that drink the koolaid.
Yeah, "The Reuters/Ipsos poll is conducted online in English throughout the United States. The latest poll gathered responses from a total of 1,005 adults, including 443 Democrats and 377 Republicans. It has a credibility interval - a measure of precision - of 4 percentage points."
Yeah, there's an eagerness to translate this into a context-free '4 in 10' people and that's not reasonable. Biden is just outside the margin of error of Orange Hitler the week after they were convinced perpetrated a coup. 41% says he's slightly better than the guy they believe tried to destroy the government.

I hate to invoke Bothsidesism, but do you remember anything at all about the 2016-2020 years? Anything?
I remember there were no wars. I remember a great economy.
I remember the phony impeachment because some fat fuck in uniform didn't like his handling of Ukraine. I guess that really worked out for Fatty McGee.
peace.
Humans are not actually capable of democracy, whether for national governance or choosing a place for lunch. But we keep demanding more of it.
To Ben Franklin: we kept the republic as long as we could.

If you're not going to have your virtue signaling saved for posterity, what's the point.
Fascists gotta do fascism.
Then: Parents need to get involved in their own children's education, we're not miracle workers.
Now: Parents are the terrorist!
They system hasn't truly been tried yet. It will work if we just get the right kind of parents.
nobody wants to see your ugly fucking mug in a pic anyway. mask up or drop it.
But then how will people know that it's actually me in the photo with *THE* Jen Lunsford?
ya I mean pic needs to at least be on a Magic Johnson level or no rulebreaking.

What bothers me more than the hypocrisy is the stupidity. After so many have gotten in trouble for getting pictured mask less, you would think at this point that they wouldn't allow anyone to take a picture of them not wearing a mask. And, if in a fit of distraction they allowed a picture to be taken, you would think that both they and their staffs would know not to post that picture on social media.
Just watch the 'leaders' in masks while issuing Very Important Proclamations. It's EXTREMELY rare that they can go one full minute without fucking with the mask. And this is when they KNOW they are on TV and 'Leader Setting Example' mode is on.
