The U.S. Secret Service reports that at least $100 billion was stolen from federal funds aimed to help people who lost their jobs because of COVID-19 and associated economic shutdowns and businesses that suffered because of the pandemic. That's about 3 percent of the money distributed under those programs, and it doesn't include cases being prosecuted by the U.S. Department of Justice.

Well there was the City in Illinois that needed a fence built. The Official in charge of it put out a request for bids. He got three replies. One from a contractor in Ohio, one from a contractor in Indiana and one from a contractor in Chicago. The contractor from Ohio asked if he could see the specifications. He looked at them pulled out his calculator worked some numbers for a bit and said that he could build the fence for $500,000. The Official thanked him and said that he had two more people to talk to about this. The contractor from Indiana came in and asked for the specifications and he also crunched some numbers and said that he could build the fence for $1 million dollars. He too was thanked. The contractor from Chicago came in and said that he could build the fence for $4.5 million dollars. The Official asked if he needed the specifications? The contractor said that he didn't need them. The Official asked how he could quote the fence with out the specifications. The contractor said "Easy. $2 million for you, $2 million for me and we hire the contractor from Ohio."
