Brickbat: Watch Your Mouth

Monroe, Louisiana, police officer Timothy Miller has been charged with aggravated battery and malfeasance in office for using his Taser on a suspect inside his patrol car. According to a statement by the city, Miller had trouble getting the man into his patrol car, and after the man was in the car, he began using racial slurs against Miller, who is black. The statement doesn't reveal the man's name or what he was being detained for.

“…charges of aggravated battery…” in relation to Officer Miller using his Taser. If he was droving an electric plug-in patrol vehicle and driven into the suspect, that too would be an aggravated battery. However it plays out, this story is shocking.
Both Officer Miller and his Taser will need to be charged! This is electrifying news to the local power station and its shareholders!

This is a very current story.
It gets folks amped up about this issue.
Really it was the perp's fault for resisting.
Ohm my god!
He didn’t allow them to conduct a search.
Hope they hauled the perp into the police substation.
Will he be charged?
Perhaps a salt battery?
What’s with all the negative comments? Any charges filed will be a positive development! Hopefully he’s already in a cell!
It is just the way we are wired.
Time for a volt face?
Words are violence.
Thoughts, too.
after the man was in the car, he began using racial slurs against Miller, who is black
Way to bury the lede. Hate speech! Hate speech is the very worst of violent crimes these days, the police officer would have been entirely justified in just shooting the guy repeatedly in the face.
It’s doubtful that the victim was a trump supporter, but if he was, then yes.
Well, unless the racial categories were reversed.
If there is a recording of the suspect calling a black officer racial slurs, then I'd be willing to let the cop off with a written warning.
Some people need tasing.
But at the same time, this can't be a pattern, so you need documentation.
Some people need tasing.
Especially field niggers, right?
Do you mean "wigger"?
What makes you say that?
No. Then charge the defendant with disorderly conduct or interference with lawful police commands.
Or… Call for a paddy wagon and step away from your patrol car, so you don’t need to take the verbal abuse.
But… You don’t shock the bastard.
Good setup
One has to wonder if a white officer tasing a black arrestee for calling him racial slurs would face criminal charges.
