Norwalk, Connecticut, police officers Michel Dimeglio and Sara Laudano have been charged with larceny and reckless endangerment after their supervisors found them together in a hotel room while both were on duty. The department had been looking for Laudano after dispatch could not reach her on the radio or on her cellphone. The department's vehicle location system found her patrol car in the hotel parking lot. The department said the two "were not in a condition to respond to calls for service."

And then she allegedly drank more with Dimeglio and a friend in a parking lot hidden behind a Norwalk school.

The article clearly states that they were under the influence, and on duty. American cops don't go on duty without a firearm, so...

The linked article also doesn't say anything about driving around with a baby in her squad car or her having a wife.

There's a hell of a lot more in comment by Jerryskids than just the two officers being drunk, none of which is in the news articled linked to by the Reason article and for which Jerryskids provides no source.
