The Los Angeles County Public Works Department has notified Grace Community Church it is terminating a lease for a parking lot the church has held since 1975. Church leaders say this is in retaliation for its so far successful challenge to state mandate's barring indoor church services. The county has repeatedly tried to get a court order to close the church without success. County officials had warned church leaders of "repercussions" if they did not comply with the mandates.

Seriously, the thing about squatters, is the name squatter tells you what you need to know about how they change the property and leave it after awhile. Democrats don't seem to be protecting other peoples' property these days. I use "other" because Democrat mayors are assigning police to protect THEIR property and themselves.

And the issue is rather overtly on principle. It doesn't appear that they asked for more money, they simply terminated the lease. Presumably early, meaning the Church paid for services/access not yet delivered.

Their letter says they are giving the required 30-days notice and will refund any excess payment. If the lot sits unused, that is a strong indicator that it was political.
