Kanye West Launches a Presidential Campaign of Christian Morality
The hip-hop star's wild, disjointed presentation offers both red meat and poison for right, left, and libertarian.

Kanye West, still running for president, spoke at his first campaign rally in North Charleston, South Carolina, Sunday afternoon.
West, with "2020" carved along the back of his head and in a huge security vest, said a lot over his hour, some in reaction to audience questions or comments. But one major thread, predictable given his turn toward a 100 percent Christian message on his recent album Jesus Is King, was a robust Christian morality and an insistence that Jesus loves us all, and that spreading that message is more important to him than actually winning the presidency.
The general style and vibe of West's speech was more revival meeting than political rally, with West noting he is "only afraid of God and in honor of God" (while at the same time slyly noting that things he was saying might lose him business deals or even his marriage).
The emotional high point was a story about how his wife Kim Kardashian West had to convince him to give birth to their first child North, with West weeping out loud at the thought that he might have killed his own daughter. He similarly insisted that his own father wanted to abort him and he was saved only by his mother Donda's resolve.
When it came to policy, though, candidate West insisted abortion should remain legal, and that a way to achieve the zero abortions he'd like to see might be to offer enormous amounts of money, even a million dollars, to women who feel pushed toward abortion by lack of resources.
Over the course of the rally, West made comments that could appeal to Americans across the ideological spectrum—and comments sure to make nearly every typically stratified American voter run away.
• For the conservative right: West sincerely repeated the gun rights slogan "guns don't kill people, people kill people" and stated how much fun it is to shoot guns. (He mentioned his ability to fire AR-15s all the livelong day if he wishes on his enormous Wyoming ranch.) He suggested that unilateral disarmament on either the personal or national level just places you at other people's mercy. He said that Democrats have not done "shit" for blacks, and that it is highly racist to insist that Kanye in the race will split the black vote and harm Biden.
While this particular sort of conservatism is too old-fashioned even for most modern American so-called "conservatives," West joined with his fellow earthshaking pop music genius turned hardcore Christian Bob Dylan in calling for a self-sufficient agricultural life as the best solution to most social and economic ills.
We moved to the cities because of the industrial revolution, West insisted, and that's over. He attacks American education for not teaching us about the ease and possibilities of just living on the land and growing what you need from it. He calls on "the original Tesla" for support of the idea that the "Earth is a giant generator" and that "God has given us freedom, you can feed your family and survive on earth, wind, fire and air" with "proper engineering."
• For the progressive left: West called American society white supremacist. He alluded to executions of innocent men, though he did not say he's definitely against the death penalty. (It is hard to pin down a lot of West's precise policy preferences from this speech.) He called out "homeless people in front of a Gucci store" as one of the social ills that inspired him to run. He believes that "it takes a village to raise a child."
West does not make it easy to slot his sayings into standard political and economic categories, but he seems to allude to something like Modern Monetary Theory (the idea essentially that our government can make and distribute all the money it wants with no problems) by declaring that his dream of million-dollar giveaways to mothers can't be limited by worrying about money. After all, he notes, our money is no longer backed by gold anyway, so nothing but will is stopping us from spending.
• For the libertarian: Besides his aforementioned comments on gun rights and the death penalty, West seems to hold the bootstrap notion that not being literal slaves is not nearly enough for black Americans; that they must achieve ownership of business and land in America to be truly free. (Or at least that's the most charitable interpretation of his odd comment that Harriet Tubman "just had the slaves go work for other white people.") He called out major companies for depending on black ideas or customers but having no blacks on their boards, even insisting that if the likes of Adidas did not fix that, immediately, he'd stop doing business with them. He noted that too many American blacks are "worried about embarassing themselves before an all-white country that we work for and don't own anything in it." He stands up firmly for maximal black participation in capitalist culture through ownership and control.
In general, in a meta-libertarian yet also Christian angle, he insisted that most of our problems were those of personal choice and personal sins, from reliance on porn to reliance on Percocet to choosing to fire a weapon at another person, and that true freedom will come through obeying God's laws, not through politicians, whether they be "Trump, Biden, or Kanye." (Later, he grandiosely declared that if his campaign is over, "the country is over." Hey, it's Kanye.)
• For radical kooks across the spectrum: West spoke often from a general sense of occult foreboding about the way the world works, intimating he was literally risking his life doing what he's doing, alluding to "real powers" that no one knows about or speaks about. He said outright he doesn't want to say he's against Big Pharma because they have the will and wherewithal to murder him. He alluded to establishment conspiracies to fill the black community with both guns and drugs.
He displayed a general sense that media in modernity is a sinister mind control and manipulation machine. (On the other hand, when he was invited to speak against George Soros he admitted he doesn't "know much about George Soros, in all honesty" so "I will not bear false witness" by condemning him.) Because of all the weird things that have happened in 2020 America this year, West thinks there is no change, no matter how radical or weird it might seem, that might not be possible.
West had previously been a MAGA hat-wearing Trump fan, though not one loudly and publicly for particular Trumpist policies. One of the things that dazzled him about Trump was the very improbable nerve of a political outsider running in a very unconventional manner and winning. As I quoted West in a February 2019 Reason story, he thought Trump's victory "proves that anything is possible in America….I'm not talking about what he's done since he's in office. But the fact that he was able to do it."
This is the Kanye willing, in a campaign-opening political rally, to admit that he would drive his Maybach "to Calabasas high as a motherfucker" on Percocets he feels doctors pushed on him. (He then joked about his dad getting mad when he hears West saying this on Fox.) This is the Kanye willing to refer, while speaking of how Jesus loves everyone, to people "controlled by demons." This is the Kanye whose last words before leaving the stage were "That was extremely good! That was extremely bad!"
He may not be like any other politician, but I'm willing to bet all that makes him more like more other Americans than any other American politician is. While his ability to get on any ballots other than Oklahoma remains unknown, that is an approach to campaigning that is at the least gripping and interesting.

I wonder if Kanya West is aware that Tesla's are named after an actual person.
I also wonder about whether anything he said actually carries libertarian appeal, beyond our decision whether or not he's worth paying attention to.
Gee, I wonder if a vain celebrity crowd surfing on the religious right could end up having libertarian values?
About the only libertarian thing Kanye West has going for him is summoned with the same cross-eyed logic by which Donald Trump is the most libertarian president in history: Trump doesn't have a libertarian bone in his body but he's so hilariously incompetent that he is unable to wield the Leviathan to do any real damage. In this regard Kanye West would undoubtedly be even more incompetent than Donald Trump, an impressive feat in itself, but personally I'm just completely worn out with the never ending theater. I almost don't care if the president is a crook or a sex pest or even a tyrant. Just please, for the love of god and all that is holy, go away and don't tell bother America with whatever it is you're doing for at least four years. I would vote for ANYONE, bar none, if I could be guaranteed that I wouldn't hear their name again until 2024.
I suppose it really has come to this--that being flawlessly pro-choice, pro-LGBT, anti-death penalty, and so forth, qualifies you as "religious right" if you talk about God and suggest people shouldn't get abortions. Like some kind of liberal Democrat from ten years ago. (Except for the gay marriage, immigration, capital punishment, etc., of course...)
I quit working at shoprite and now I make $65-85 per/h. How? I'm working online! My work didn't exactly make me happy so I decided to take a chance on something new… EWf after 4 years it was so hard to quit my day job but now I couldn't be happier.

As for the libertarian thing...
" For the libertarian: Besides his aforementioned comments on gun rights and the death penalty, West seems to hold the bootstrap notion that not being literal slaves is not nearly enough for black Americans; that they must achieve ownership of business and land in America to be truly free. Umm, what?
Libertarianism is all about prioritizing skin color and treating people as units of abstract identity classes now?
It is on Reason.
I think everyone assumes that the pasty white guys who make up 99% of libertarianism will not prioritize racial politics. What racial politics? We don't ever need to talk about race, so why should anyone else?
I think the core of these comments go nicely with Ms. Johnson's comments from Trump's meeting with Black leaders in the last month or so.
If taken in total without diving into the ridiculous details of Kanye's messaging, you get a more libertarian push for weakened regulations (especially in cities) that go a long way in keeping black citizens from opening businesses. Perhaps one of the greatest pushes against gentrification is that it is people with a shit ton of money and political influence who get past the city regulations to build where blacks lack the political and financial capital to start their own businesses in those areas.
I highly recommend finding a transcript of Sonnie Johnson's contributions to this roundtable. She was phenomenal.

If Kanye is on the GA ballot I'd vote for him over that communist-sympathizin' race-baiter the LP is running.
I only care that his ‘candidacy’ fucks Biden over.
"Telsa, the original Tesla, said the Earth is a giant generator. "
Pretty sure he does
So he's saying it's a Big Generator?
Sorry.

"When it came to policy, though, candidate West insisted abortion should remain legal, and that a way to achieve the zero abortions he'd like to see might be to offer enormous amounts of money, even a million dollars, to women who feel pushed toward abortion by lack of resources."
I like a decent amount of what he says on other issues but....yikes
Why yikes? This is the most libertarian solution to the abortion issue, assuming the money comes from voluntary donations raised by pro-life supporters.
Yes, that would be one good aspect, but when he thinks money is limitless because no gold standard, it makes one pause.
The British discovered in India that paying for dead snakes encourages raising snakes, and the French discovered the same thing with rats in Indochina. I wonder how many willing parents would pretend they wanted an abortion just to get some free money, and what kind of bureaucracy would spring up to detect and discourage that. Wait until the last minute, flip a coin, and either abort or get a million bucks to give birth? Shades of King Solomon......
"I wonder how many willing parents would pretend they wanted an abortion just to get some free money,"
Exactly. We already know that the "safety nets" for single moms that Democrats have enacted have contributed to single parent households skyrocketing
I wonder how many willing parents would pretend they wanted an abortion just to get some free money.
LOL it had never even occurred to me that some parents would not--and I don't even think it occurred to Kanye. I just read it as a straight-up call for $1 million of state support for every child--justified by the kind of pro-life, pro-family, it-takes-a-village "seamless garment" language so beloved by the "religious left" and the Catholic establishment, etc. (Or now, since that is a rapidly dying demographic even with minorities, with the zealously facially antilibertarian movements that now are the most dynamic and fastest growing forces within the Right.)
How is it libertarian? It provides a ridiculous perverse incentive for women to get pregnant just so they can win a taxpayer funded lottery. Much worse than the welfare system in place
$1 million welfare payments per child are apparently "libertarian" now if you can promote it as a "libertarian solution to abortion." Sad thing is the "reasoning" here isn't far off from a lot of the reasoning you see invoked in the name of libertarianism.
And we wonder why there's such little respect given by anyone else.
This presidential fucking circus has been fucking exhausting! Why can't we just have a normal individual, someone that will tell the pre-life supporters to go fuck themselves, run for president!
So you’re thinking a pro infanticide platform?
Wait a minute, what? No no no, you got it all wrong.
Fun fact: At one point Bonnie Tyler became so fed up with the "sexy schoolboys" theme of the "Total Eclipse of the Heart" video that she screamed at the director after his latest and most over-the-top suggestion, "You're nothin' but a pre-vert!" and stormed off for the day.
If black lives really matter how about we defund planned parenthood?
Haven't you crass lying busybodies been lecturing at black people that they need more family planning in their lives?
The only family planning I've ever advocated for for anyone is wedding bells.
But the only way that takes off is through welfare reform and reinstatement of marriage benefits.
And yeah, I'm aware a big portion of abortion seekers are married women with multiple kids.

Holy fuck, here we go again!
Mr. Doherty has an odd concept of libertarianism. As far as I can see, absolutely none of the things mentioned under "For the libertarian" has the vaguest connection to libertarianism, with the single exception of gun rights. Some even seem closer to against its spirit than for, if anything. The sentiments marked "meta-libertarian," on the other hand, seem more like just plain libertarian.
...At least he did not call Mr. West's odd stance on abortion--actually perhaps the least plausibly libertarian stance ever articulated--as "for the libertarians." Because given the odd sorts of things described as such elsewhere (not to mention here), it would not surprise me. I can see someone getting the idea that it is vaguely in the spirit of the sorts of regimes often defended as "libertarian" drug policy.
Paying to not have abortions is more libertarianish than forbidding abortions or encouraging abortions.
Perhaps it is if you pay for it, chief. But that is neither here nor there to what is actually being discussed.
..."Abortion is the killing of innocent human beings, parents do not have the right of life and death over their children, and it is a core duty and function of a state to punish violations of the rights of the most vulnerable members of society" is a perfectly coherent libertarian position. So is, "Abortion is nothing of the kind, and any interference with it therefore one of the most brutal and facial violations of self-ownership conceivable."
What is not defensible, even nonsensical, is to say that abortion is the most brutal and horrifying murder of innocent human babies (which is what Kanye has been so emotionally and compellingly insisting) and that a such we as the state will quite naturally do nothing to stop it or even deter it, but rather keep giving it our official license, and instead discourage it by confiscating hundreds of millions of dollars from your wallets to bribe people to make certain choices (rather than others they have the legal right to make). Specifically, to respect the natural rights of innocent children by not murdering them.
How this could be taken to be in any way "more libertarian" than just about anything else conceivable, even while squinting and high as a kite, is beyond me. But I suppose that is modern beltwaytarianism for you.
Fuck that shit, now that I think about it. Why did I even waste all that digital ink trying to engage the idea that $1 million per child automatic welfare payments are "libertarian" just because you say the word "abortion" while advocating it, like some kind of magic abracadabra. Fuck me, I'm being dumb.
In an odd, backhanded way Mr. West displays far clearer insight into monetary policy than most recent LP candidates. (He does seem to grasp the wrong horn of the reductio, but beggars can't be choosers.)
Perhaps this was hardly unexpected, looking back. He had not, after all, condemned "fiat diggers." My only concern is that the perceived sexist tone of these remarks from a different time will not cost him the presidency by alienating the female libertarian bloc of the American electorate.
My last month paycheck was for 11000 ... All i did was simple online work from comfort at home for 3-4 hours/day that I got from this agency I discovered over the internet and they paid me for it 95 bucks every hourHERE? Read More
“The female libertarian bloc of the American electorate”? You mean BOTH of them?
Indeed; that was the joke.
Why is this even worth discussing? If he was actually going to run for President, he had to start at least 6 months ago, he's not even going to make the ballot in more than a handful of states, if that. And probably only by having the rules waived for him, like Perot benefited from.
The only real question here is, vanity candidate or spoiler?

Why not both?
As Glenn Reynolds likes to say, "Embrace the healing power of "and"."
But, really, he waited too long for ballot access, so the only way he gets on the ballot in more than a few states is if elections officials waive the rules for him. Which generally only happens when they see it helping their own party.
I can't see Democrats thinking that likely, so maybe a few Republican states that Trump might lose put him on the ballot to split the black vote?
I'm going to guess Kayne is probably more in line with what a lot of black voters want. Race is about the only place that many black voters line up with the democrat party on.

West must really like trump for going this far for him. It’s clear he’s trying to be more of a clown than trump or Biden - ostensibly to give trump more credibility (Biden is no longer capable of credibility).
Idk, I may just vote Kanye anyways and say fuck it. Let the chips fall where they may.
JK. Ima vote for Biden. I figure this country needs the extra push into hell.
#nolivesmatter
#Swampcreaturelivesmatter!
Voting for Biden isn’t a push into hell; it’s a push into extra retarded hell. He’s like Steve Martin from Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, with an eyepatch, and a cork on the end of his fork.
The fact that any significant number of Americans consider West a viable candidate for president shows that America deserves a person like West for president. The rest of us can hope the bus to crazy town stops so we can get off.
Is the fact that people are willing to contemplate Ye for Prez really so much sillier and less hopeful for the future of America than the fact that Biden is not losing by at least double digits in the polls given the current atmosphere in America? (Not that Trump has given anyone particular reason to have any confidence in his leadership of course, but please!)
What's wrong with Biden? You mad that he's not able to be caricatured as a fire-breathing socialist, that slanders about his mental health don't stick considering the mental freakshow making them? That not all Americans share a reflexive propaganda-generated hatred for anyone with a (D) after his name for reasons you can barely articulate? Just how monstrously do the Republicans have to fail before it becomes pretty obvious why Americans are choosing the other team? At least Bush wasn't a revolting troll of a man.
Biden is a corrupt career politician, who has lived on the back of the taxpayers, and whose extended family has lived on the back of the taxpayers. Either Americans are masochists, or enough of them don't pay enough taxes to care.
The rest of us can hope the bus to crazy town stops so we can get off.

Eat of his flesh, drink of his blood! Worship your Lord!
You realize why Christianity has these sacraments? It was basically to replace eating others and drinking others' blood (Jesus, i.e. God, basically sacrificed Himself so that people were no longer committing that sin). I believe H.G. Wells (a pretty secular socialist, otherwise) had a pretty good brief history of religions, and how they went from being all about actual human sacrifice, to Greek style animal sacrifice instead, to symbolic sacrifice. Some religions, especially in the New World, never got the memo apparently. Eliade has some research on this, as well.
The Religious Right (a small subset of Christians) all cling to Trump because Hillary was obviously the devil. David French has a recent article up on this. To the RR the most heinous sin in the world is abortion. Worse than breaking any of the actual Ten Commandments. And so they glommed onto a rude sexist who bragged about his immorality. They did this because James Dobson literally proclaimed him chosen of God.
So what will these people do with Kanye? He's clearly Christian, and he is clearly against abortion. But he doesn't want to send mothers and doctors to jail for abortion. Maybe what Kanye needs to do to get their vote is to brag about grabbing pussy. But he's too much of a gentlemen to do that.
p.s. Remember when it was the Religious Right that told that character matters? What happened to them?
"They did this because James Dobson literally proclaimed him chosen of God"
The religious right doesn't have a pope. There are roughly 114 million evangelicals in North America, so if Dobson had that kind of power you certainly know it. Stop falling for Media Matters blood libels.
"Remember when it was the Religious Right that told that character matters? What happened to them?"
They're just voting for whichever political party is less likely to make their faith illegal one day.
Evangelicals on Trump, in a nutshell: “Donald Trump is going to embarrass me every day of the year, but unlike the other side, he doesn’t vociferously hate my faith, and actively seek to do me harm.”
"To the RR the most heinous sin in the world is abortion. Worse than breaking any of the actual Ten Commandments."
Yeah, have you forgotten that one about murder?
You make it sound like abortion is opposed by only a small subset of Christians, and nobody else. That's hard to square with polling.
Basically, once you get past the first trimester, there's a solid majority in favor of outlawing abortion, and even in the first trimester you don't have majority support for the legality of elective abortions.
And waiting periods, parental consent laws, informing husbands, all have majority support.
So, "pro-choice" can be said to be a majority position, but only a very limited form of "pro-choice", nothing like what the courts are imposing.
The Religious Right (a small subset of Christians) all cling to Trump because Hillary was obviously the devil.
Just when I thought the font of sweet, sweet tears had run dry and I was going to have to tap into my reserves!
Nope, HRC wasn't a terrible candidate and a terrible person by metrics Christian, Jewish, Muslim, and atheist. Nope, Trump and Dobson bamboozled those bitter clingers! Trump on a hot mic in the back of a bus talked about how you could grab pussy and get away with it, something Christians have been getting backhanded about politically since Bill Clinton's impeachment, but Hillary with documented proof hounded the women who alleged first hand that her husband actually did grab them (and worse).
I love it. Keep up the riots and then proceed to tell us how Christian values like not stealing and rioting and the electorate's innate desire to kill black people cost the Dems the election!
If you support Trump you don't get to be taken seriously when you lecture people about personal majority. That's how hypocrisy works.
If you support Trump you don’t get to be taken seriously when you lecture people about personal majority. That’s how hypocrisy works.
That's it. Keep the tears coming!
How will your tears taste when Trump loses in November and has to be taken out on a dolly as he sucks his thumb in shame?
They became so coldly pragmatic that it made some of us old-school cold pragmatists' heads spin. Abortion does seem to be the one issue. It's a remarkable thing. It could have been anything I suppose. Not gay marriage, since they couldn't maintain their opposition without being seen as mean-spirited and discredited if they kept that up. But for some reason abortion works for them. Sacrifice literally any moral standards in service of judges who will, some day, force women to give birth against their will in America. I've never seen such a wildly successful cult fixation in my life. There is no particular biblical imperative here. Certainly there are much clearer Christian priorities found in the Bible. But that's the power of decades of electronic propaganda. It's probably more successful a partisan boon than they ever dreamed of.
Every woman gives birth against her will, you ignorant slut. You think we want to endure that kind of pain?
The best design ever - labor comes when we can't stand the thought of being pregnant one day longer!
This whole piece seems to be taken kanye wests' recent campaign rally and the 'issues' he discussed seriously. Whether he is a born again Christian, a libertarian is beside the point. He has deeply personal manic bi-polar issues before i would consider his opinions on anything having to do the politics or religion. The incoherent and scattered brained performance along with the comical crying episode is telling. He indicates that he has daddy issues, also demonstrated in his oval office meeting with trump last year, calling trump his 'superman' and the dad he wish he had or something to that effect. In interviews he talks incessantly about himself and his childhood. Not a president i want to see everyday in the white house.
Now do Biden.
Uncle Joe's Careless Whispers: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5XqF4wA-dco
I totally agree. I read, with fascination, the article and these comments taking what Mr. West said seriously, reading into them, trying to assign "his platform" as right, left or libertarian. I do not expect the readers or writers or Reason to be Mental Health experts, and I suspect the current occupant of the White House has desensitized us all the the bizarre ramble. I can tell you that Mr. West was demonstrating many symptoms of a manic episode: thought racing, "flight of ideas", pressured speech and mood swings that we actually witnessed within a brief period of time. This man needs help. If he wasn't wealthy and famous, we would not be reporting his utterances as news.
Kanye West Launches a Presidental Campaign of Christian Morality
Jesus Christ.
A magazine devoted to libertarianism soberly reviewing what positions can be gleaned from the ramblings of an interlocutor clown with no intention to win or chance... and crickets about the actual libertarian presidential candidate.
"the actual libertarian presidential candidate"
Libertarianism is a philosophy, not a political party.
While this is true, the party with the name in it is most closely aligned with the general principles of the philosophy and certainly more so than this Kanye clown.
Seems to me that at least one article clarifying the naming/branding confusion is in order.
Let me know when an actual libertarian runs for president.
I'm always running for everything as a write in.
I always write myself in for school board to let the unopposed Dem candidates know that I'm coming for them.
While this particular sort of conservatism is too old-fashioned even for most modern American so-called "conservatives," West joined with his fellow earthshaking pop music genius turned hardcore Christian Bob Dylan in calling for a self-sufficient agricultural life as the best solution to most social and economic ills.
Uh... WTF? I'll agree that most conservatives are pragmatic and recognize that they can't and shouldn't force people into an agrarian lifestyle, I can only assume the vapid conservatives-in-name-only conservatives that Doherty spends time around don't recognize that a rigorous individualist narrative largely necessitates one providing for oneself at at least subsistence levels. That is to say, they aren't opposed to people buying pre-cooked sandwiches and ice cold beer, but if you've only got two hands and enough money to buy beans and dirt, as long as the sun is shining, society doesn't necessarily owe you much else than that.
It's really disingenuous to regard the position otherwise. In any sufficiently advanced society there will be people figuratively stuck in the stone age and while society can hand them steel and information technology, it will do so at a cost and will effectively convert at least some of them to monkeys at typewriters rather than lifting them out of the stone age.
Kanye has a lot of work to do before he convinces libertarians to switch teams away from the small-government hero Trump who is only sending un-uniformed jackbooted thugs to round up people exercising their first-amendment rights, because he can. Or his libertarian trade wars, or his libertarian pandering to racists and religious fundamentalists. Or his libertarian pardoning of his corruption buddies.
Trump has one libertarian credential that is second to none: He shows just how incompetent government can be. You could use this as an opportunity if only you guys didn't worship his every action.
If libertarianism has been reduced to the single fundamental goal: "Troll the libtards," then why not just join the GOP, whose centuries of policy priorities have been similarly reduced to this essence?
un-uniformed jackbooted thugs to round up people exercising their first-amendment rights
Get your narrative straight. They're rounding up people blocks away from the protests who are just walking down the street, not necessarily breaking up any groups. That would be violating habeas corpus.
The dude holding the speaker overhead that they shot with the bean bag would be exercising his 1A right... if he weren't shouting "We're going to fucking kill you!" from the speaker.
Your mum's a slut.
So why does Kanye West get and article and Jo Jorgensen's get left out? This is suppose to be a libertarian site so doesn't a Libertarian candidate get a little press here?
Again, at the very least you'd think there would be an article saying "We're not that kind of (libertarian) magazine."
Kanyak, for no apparent reason, launches his presidential campaign with an lying attack on harriet tubmann. Of all people. Who is his audience for this saying, 'harriet tubmann never free the slaves'. First she she didn't free the slaves, she rescued slaves out of bondage over her life time. The slaves he claims were slaves by choice. He needs to be put in a time machine and sent back to 1830 south carolina and look at his 'choices'. This hedonistic wealthy layabout apparently never read a history book. He is embarrassing to black people everywhere. He also has a lot of personal daddy issues, and marriage problems with kim i don't care to hear about from a presidential candidate.
the vast majority of black americans are on to kanyaks' BS. He is the dumpsters' reliable step-n-fetch it.
the vast majority of black americans are on to this step-n-fetch it.

Y'all be claiming support for West where he knows nothing about politics and governance. Im gonna advice he sticks to his entertainment and fashion life.
What a world. I'm tired of christians and their book, cherry picking a doctrine for political ends. Who says god is against abortion? The bible certainly doesn't. While one passage sounds like the book is against it, countless passages explicitly describe killing children in the name of dog (Numbers 31:17 for starters). The whole christian world-view is to be a slave, not an individual (ephesians 6:5). We need to stop suckling at the tit of christian demands. It's time to get past this child-like call to believe in a literal interpretation of a myth that can be cherry picked to defend racism, war, mass murder, ethnic cleansing and rape. Burn the bible out of politics, use reason and logic, rather than emotionalism and evangelicalism. Kanye is the victim of his past addictions. He can't fathom logic or reason, and clings to the crutch of the cross of slavery. Let's move on.
Not as serious as Pat Paulsen.
