Brickbat: Video Game Violence

An internal investigation found that Gwinnett County, Georgia, police officer Todd Ramsey had a YouTube video playing on his patrol car computer monitor when he rear-ended an SUV at nearly 70 mph. The accident left the driver of the SUV in a coma for four weeks. Ramsey was cited for following too closely and demoted. An Atlanta TV station reports this was the eighth traffic accident Ramsey has been involved with where he was found to be at fault. Ramsey had a Grand Theft Auto gameplay video playing at the time of the accident.

The real tragedy was he lost the game.
How does one lose at a youtube video?
He showed the way.
Huh.
Demoted in, like, real life, or in game space?
Which would hurt Ramsey more?
Grand Theft Auto is a visual game. It's one thing to listen, but you cannot enjoy GTA without watching. It's just another form of eyes-off-road distracted driving.
That, or he took as an instructional video.
"The accident left the driver of the SUV in a coma for four weeks. Ramsey was cited for following too closely and demoted."
Poor Ramsey, I hope his wrist doesn't hurt too much after all that slapping.
"Wood said she has amassed more than $500,000 worth of medical bills stemming from this incident.
"Her attorney is in talks with the county about a settlement, Channel 2 reported. No other information on that potential settlement was provided."
If "he that pays the piper calls the tune," maybe those who pay the settlements should be able to fire those who provide occasion for those settlements. Fuck union contracts, civil-service rules and arbitraitors.
And nothing else happened.
If he wasn't a cop he probably would have had his license pulled a long time ago. He's just another punk ass bully cop who needs to go.
if we did indeed live in a fantasy world where everyone was patient enough to wait a whole 5 or 10 mins in lobbies, it is actually FASTER to wait in game.
