Brickbat: Turned Away

The British government has reportedly denied an asylum request from Asia Bibi, a Pakistani Christian who spent eight years on death row before Pakistan's Supreme Court overturned her blasphemy conviction. The head of the British Pakistani Christian Association says the government is worried Bibi's presence would "cause security concerns and unrest among certain sections of the community and would also be a security threat to British embassies abroad which might be targeted by Islamist terrorists."

Pussies.
And to think the British once conquered about half the known world. Now they're pre-emptively surrendering to somebody they merely think might attack them?
Pink Floyd said it best.
Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way.
I can't read that without hearing the intonation and cadence...
The song "Mother".... Fucking brilliant.
Jerryskids, the alternative is mowing their own lawns.
A worthwhile read.
That may be the most craven reason to deny someone asylum. But the British government has consistently shown over the last decade or so how frightened they are of their domestic Muslim population.
There was a time when the British had the wogs under control.
Great Britain: At Least It's Better Than Pakistan
High praise.
*for now
I think that is the new tourism pamphlet.
"...cause security concerns and unrest among certain sections of the community..."
So this logic could be applied to the Honduran refugee caravan?
Yes! We can NOT let them in, because...
'A) They might mow our lawns for substandard wages, and...
'B) Der TrumpfenFuhrer might have a hissy fit and start WW III. Whoever threatens violence, gets their way!
Um ... you've never seen an African-American drug dealer beat up an immigrant from Honduras for getting too close to the drug den!? Where have you been all these years?
Whoever threatens violence, gets their way!
This explains the Democrats and the left.
Well, after all, Churchill is dead.
Now it is " . . . we will surrender in individual rights, we will surrender in speech, we will surrender to threats, we will never, ever, fight . . . . "
the government is worried Bibi's presence would "cause security concerns and unrest among certain sections of the community and would also be a security threat to British embassies abroad which might be targeted by Islamist terrorists."
"We apologize to anyone who might find this offensive, but thank you for your understanding and cooperation."
Why didn't they just come out and say 'we're a bunch of fucking cowards.'
Garbage Island at it again.
It this is not total and complete capitulation, then by all means tell me what is.
Will the US be offering her asylum?
the government is worried Bibi's presence would "cause security concerns and unrest among certain sections of the community...
Uslim-mas.

That reminds me, I should swing by the UK embassy after watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, but I doubt Detective Nase wants to hear about it. Her mailbox is always full when I call. (609)-588-2506
I mean, the UK is still holding bloggers captive.
By the way, YU had an open house on Sunday that I might have made more interesting. I was in the neighborhood anyway trying to figure out what some car with a NY license plate was doing.
