Brickbat: Gunned Down

The board of California's state-owned Del Mar Fairgrounds has suspended all gun shows effective Dec. 31, and board members say they will not allow any more gun shows until they develop a policy banning guns and ammunition from the shows.

They've found that unelected bureaucrats is the key to killing the 2nd Amendment.
they will not allow any more gun shows until they develop a policy banning guns and ammunition from the shows
And how much time and taxpayer money are they going to waste on developing that policy? I don't think there's going to be a long list of gun show organizers anxious to book a facility where guns and ammo are going to be banned from their gun shows, the finer details of the policy itself aren't actually going to affect anybody's decision.
So they're willing to allow a gun show so long as their are no guns there? Okay...
What's next? A car show with just photos of cars? Or an art exhibit where attendees can just hear verbal descriptions of what each art piece would have looked like?
Zoos and pet shows without animals?
We can be sure PETA will happily develop those policy details for free.
Restaurants without meat based food....next?
I've been to a couple vegetarian restaurants before. Never been to a gun show with no guns, however.
They're call indoor/outdoor equipment expos.
CA State Legislature without politicians. That would be a good one.
More sales tax revenue for Nevada and Arizona.
But any guns Californians buy in Nevada or Arizona will still have to be shipped to a FFL in California.
No they dont.
You buy the weapon and drive it home to California.
Its why you see so many California license plates at Nevada and Arizona gun shows.
Note to anyone left in California with two or more surviving brain cells: RUN
I Dont have much sympathy for people who still live there.
The housing market is coming back, so you can sell your home now and move. Move as quick as you can.
Some of us are stuck because of employment. I already own a home in Reno, just waiting to retire, although Reno is starting to look a lot like California so I might be fleeing Nevada soon.
Risky gamble, my man. To wait, that is.
I don't care how bat shit crazy California is, I'll still visit Wind and Sea beach in San Diego any chance I get.
The key word being "visit." There's plenty of places in California that are nice to visit on vacation, but I wouldn't want to live there.
Every time I've visited CA since fleeing I've had some pleasurable moments, followed by immense relief that I no longer live there.
I'll take "things so stupid only a government bureaucrat would ever say them" for $100.
How can you have a gun show without guns?
I'm a recovering Californian. Believe me, the thought never bothered them.
How can you have a gun show without guns?
It's easy if you don't care about attendance.
How do you have a gun show with no guns and no ammo? Politicians in California are beyond stupid.
