Brickbat: When We Said We Want 'Inclusivity,' We Didn't Mean That

The Anvil Centre, which is owned and operated by the city government of New Westminster, British Columbia, canceled a Christian youth event after officials found that one of the speakers is a critic of B.C.s sexual identity and orientation curriculum for schools. "It sort of came to light what the event was actually about, and it's clearly not in alignment with the City of New Westminster's mission," said Heidi Hughes, director of sales and marketing for the venue.

Oh Canada, seems the mission of government there is to stop all ",wrong think" . Poor ,Rufus
What if you were a Muslim and a critic of sex-ID-orientation training? Would you be allowed to speak, since you are an oppressed person?
What happens when an irresistable force meets an immovable bureaucrat's brains? Would the bureaucrat's head explode?
Inquiring minds want to KNOW, dammit!!!!
Exploding bureaucrats brains is a good band name.
I think it would come down to the skin color of the Muslim. If they were non-white then they would probably be allowed to speak, because denial could lead to accusations of racism.
Does Canada use a metric system for intersectionality?
Color strips like the paint department at Lowe's.
Fuck if I know. I don't talk like a hoser.
Instead of a hexadecaroon they have a 6.25 centipoc.
Speaking of Muslims in Canada, and "intersectionality", and all, I am told that they have many-many moose in Canada... And Moose chew the cud and have split hoofs, so then you'd think it it "halal" to munch on the moose, right?
But are moose hind-quarters and fore-quarters halal as well? These are "Moose-Limbs" we're talking about, so, cannibalism, is that halal too?
If they had just asked which denomination up front this could have been avoided.
If you're looking to get on the government's good side in Canada, you not only have to ask which denomination but whether you're talking Canadian or US dollars.
Gold is always acceptable.

Tolerance means not tolerating intolerance, and anyone who disagrees is intolerant. Same goes for inclusivity.
Intolerant people are not included.
We have a big tent, but you're not allowed in it.
I don't know why Reason tolerates these intolerant comments.
"I'm sure we all agree that we ought to love one another and I know there are people in the world that do not love their fellow human beings and I hate people like that!" -- Tom Lehrer, 1965
Back then that was a laughter and applause line.
What did those Christians think, that Canada is a free country?
"Now, let us pray."
So their Papist?
SOGI, vapid and eternal offspring of YHWH, ascends from the bottomless deep, aroused by the abstinance of its followers. SOGI sends forth a screech that is heard only by its familiar who adides on the surface, the one known only as STEVE SMITH.
Gullible, superstitious, stale-thinking bigots have rights, too.
soooo kinda like you?
Who could have possibly forseen any problems arising from this?
They should have let him speak. I'm pretty sure under Canadian hate speech laws they could have then charged him with a hate crime. These dumb asses don't even know how to totalitarian properly.
But the city government would have to be charged as an accessory to the speech.
Can't be having anyone critical of government policy speak at a government owned venue. It might encourage... independent thinking and undermine yassah democracy.
