Brickbat: Take It Easy

A French employment commission has fined a baker €3,000 (about $3,700) for working too hard. Under a local law, bakeries in Lusigny-sur-Barse are supposed to close at least one day a week. This baker had previously been able to get an exemption during the summer tourist season, but when the city refused to renew the exemption, he continued to work.

Example of why the French are socialists.
So THIS is why the French have a standard of living which is about 10,000 times higher than ours, and are about to colonize the entire Galaxy!!!!
Maybe Chick-fil-A is on to something.
Chicken Out is more like it.
You know who else wanted to colonize the Galaxy?
Herman Melville?
Henry Ford?
Lord Zenu?
Nice one.
Yeah man, nice one!!!
How about Lord Zebu instead? There's some way-wacked-out fiction here... I stumbled on it a while back.

Then search the above whacky-doc for search string as follows:
"sharing power with the Horde Whisperer seemed to Zebu" ... (minus the quotes) and right there's a cool illustration of the Cruel Galactic Emperor Zebu!
A funny read for you there, the whole novel is there, in case y'all are bored...

PS, his book is very VERY geeky, lots of facts & analysis... But he never ONCE considers the easy route of GMO-ing humans to fit other planets, instead of terraforming etc. ...

State mandated day of rest.
I thought that was when they arrest you for working 7 days a week and you get a day of rest in jail.

On the seventh the same and pound on the cable. "

Any idea why the exemption was refused this time?
Or just a brief lesson that resistance is futile?

Of course it was a baker.
Rub-a-dub-dub,
Three men in a tub,
And who do you think they be?
The butcher, the baker, the candlestick maker,
And all of them out to sea.
The thing to be aware of is that any job (rather you're an engineer, baker, teacher, or a doctor) requires a lot of efforts, time and a hard work, but at least one day off per week is essential for most adults to feel good and function well. I'm a dissertation writer at professional dissertation editing service and have a lot of work to do, but still one day a week is just for resting. People should have some time to recharge after working too hard. Totally agree with the fact that bakeries should be closed at least one day a week.

The Russians are getting sloppy these days since their plot to hand America to Americans was exposed.
Have you heard of "employees"? All but the smallest businesses can stay open every day of the week while giving each employee two days off by not giving them all the same days off. Furthermore, by proper scheduling of employees' shifts, they can even remain open for longer hours than any one person should work in a day.
The bakers guild also supports restrictions on hours, selection, and prices. That is, small, inefficient bakeries don't want competition from more competent bakers who can hire more employees because they stay open longer, offer a wider selection, and sell their goods for less, thereby selling more, and making shopping both easier and less expensive for their customers. It's pure crony capitalism.
