      Hello.

Zuckerberg. This is what happens when the premise of their project was to pick up girls.

He has no deep rooted principles. Hence, he's turning over like the little bitch that he is.

His answer should have been: I'll burn it before I let bureaucrats in.

      Idiot. Chooch.

      1. Leo Kovalensky II   7 years ago

Zuckerberg is just out to make money. If his users give 2 shits about their privacy, the onus is on them to protect it.

He'll respond when FB starts losing users. Hint, I don't expect that enough people care to make a difference. If you're dumb enough to have a FB account and don't want the government to know about it, I'd suggest you need to give up your FB.

        1. Karen24   7 years ago

I learned a long time ago that if I didn't want information made public, I should not post it on the Internet. I have a public FB page where I put vacation pictures and cat gifs and make terrible mom jokes. I have a much more private page where friends of mine who, like me, live in conservative areas can bitch about how dumb Trump voters are without offending our parents and high school friends. I never click on anything anyone posts from any source that didn't exist as a print publication in 1995. I think FB does need to work on their privacy settings, but not because of nefarious political conspiracies and more to keep nasty ex-boyfriends from stalking women who rejected them.

Zuckerberg is just out to make money.

Faceberg is out for a lot more than just making money. He actually thinks he can get elected president!

        3. mad.casual   7 years ago

He'll respond when FB starts losing users.

He'll respond when FB starts looking like it can't compete. If FB loses 1M users a day and gains 1M well-designed bots, it's a wash. It's when advertisers won't pour money into the FB platform because it doesn't do dick to their sales that FB starts getting into trouble.

        4. Brandybuck   7 years ago

I know people who treat Facebook as their private diary. They get all upset when they discover someone in their extended circle they did not invite. "My privacy! My privacy!". Yet they keep posting deeply personal stuff. I know one guy who was fired and blackballed from local employers for conducting a rather vitriolic and profanity laced rant against his employer. Never occurred to him that Facebook might be a public forum.

Most people under 40 don't understand that Facebook is a public forum. It's not like texting your friends in a private group chat. Everything you post, share, or comment on is not only public for everyone to see, it's also permanent until the end of time.

What a dumb fuck. And as I understand it, the cops used google to find the guy by his searches. If you are going to go Teddy Kaczynski, don't use a phone, live in a cabin off the grid, and space out your bombings over 17 years.

      1. Red Rocks White Privilege   7 years ago

And if you're going to leave a bunch of random boxes with bombs around, do it in areas where they're more likely to be stolen. At least the havoc you cause will hurt some thieves in the process, too.

Hahha. The lefties think these kinds of elections mean they will grab the Senate or House and then they can impeach Trump. The Democrats won in PA18 by some 630 votes in an area loaded with Democrats.

Republicans will massacre the Democratic Party in November 2018. I cannot wait until Hillary starts campaigning for Democrats and she finds out how unpopular she really is.

      1. Mithrandir   7 years ago

I don't feel the same level of optimism. Midterms have tended to favor the out of power party, and besides for tax reform and creating a massive spending bill, congressional Republicans have done little more than nothing.

The Senate will be close, Dems have some hard seats to maintain, but I think the House will go to the Dems.

        1. Rhywun   7 years ago

congressional Republicans have done little more than nothing

I'll vote for the entire slate of Republicans next time if they promise to keep doing little more than nothing.

          1. EscherEnigma   7 years ago

Ignoring the"voter fraud" problem for the moment, is that even logistically possible? Assuming you do mail-in or absentee ballots for as many taxes as possible, it still seems likely that there just isn't enough time in the day to get to every remaining in-person voting site.

You'd need to borrow Santa's sleigh.

            1. Rhywun   7 years ago

Neo-Nazi and Holocaust denier Arthur Jones won the Republican nomination for the 3rd Congressional District in Illinois.
Jones will seek to unseat Rep. Dan Lipinski, who won a narrow victory over Marie Newman in Tuesday's Democratic primary.
The state GOP has denounced Jones and says it will try to field an independent to run.

You realize this is an 'own goal' right?

Nobody on earth is genuinely thinking, "I wonder if the GOP, especially in IL, really supports Nazis?" Every time you bring it up it only highlights the fact that the democratic domination of the region so fundamentally fucks with politics that only Nazis and similar niche zealots would oppose The Democratic Machine?. It's like saying you must be on the side of good and your opponents must be evil because the only person opposed to you is Ted Kaczynski.

Just a technical objection: I'm not sure this is always true of terrorists. When an 11-year old is strapped into a suicide vest and sent out into a crowded street in the Middle East, I'm pretty sure whoever strapped them into the vest is driven by an ideology.

Omeros Corp. OMER, +60.22% shares surged 63% in premarket trade Thursday on a new government spending bill that benefits its cataract surgery drug Omidria. Omidria's "pass-through" status with Medicare, which allows for a higher reimbursement rate, expired late last year, and the drug was expected to be bundled with other cataract surgery supplies, which might have forced Omeros to decrease the price "by up to 90 percent to remain competitive," said Height analyst Andrea Harris. Uncertainty around reimbursement affected Omidria's first-quarter sales, according to Omeros, and the company lobbied both legislatively and administratively to get pass-through status for longer.

...An American bank opening in China would be prohibited by US law from hiring a slew of family members of top Chinese politicians. However, a Chinese bank opening in America can hire anyone it wants. It can even invite the friends and families of American politicians to invest in can't-lose deals.

President Donald Trump's children have made front pages across the world for their dicey transactions. However, the media has barely looked into questionable deals made by those close to Barack Obama, Joe Biden, John Kerry, Mitch McConnell, and lesser-known politicians who have been in the game longer....

Robinson's work often explores alternatives to modern capitalism. Worker ownership and cooperatives figure prominently in Green Mars and Blue Mars as replacements for traditional corporations.

      1. BestUsedCarSales   7 years ago

I think that's a reasonable thing to let happen. But I would say there is a big ethical difference between removing incentives, particularly in this case of government created and distorting incentives, and literally forcing people to move.

And of course, the reason for both of these are quite different.

In the meantime I'm sticking with my suspicious that he was a loser with the ladies.

Has the actual tape been released or is the info from it second hand?

          Second hand.

Just to clarify a few points, when the FBI accuses an employee of lack of candor or unauthorized leaking to the media it means something a bit different than if you or I did it. When grilling their own the FBI have a much, much higher and more technical standard of what it means to tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth. Every FBI agent has that drilled into them. Don't disseminate. Don't throw up smoke. Don't evade.

The I.G. who recommended McCabe be fired was an Obama appointee and the professional ethics guy who signed off on that was a Mueller appointee. Neither Trump nor Sessions could control their findings.

Now, when the FBI "interviewed" Hillary about some fairly serious and straightforward violations of government security laws and record keeping protocols, she was not put under oath, no electronic recordings were made, and the interviewers did not even take notes. The fix was already in, BIG TIME, Who put in that fix?

Didn't see anyone post this. YouTube has started to ban gun videos.

"I actually am not sure we shouldn't be regulated," Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg told CNN. "I actually think the question is more, what is the right regulation?

What a maroon. This asshole is probably gonna run for president one day.

  31. Brandybuck   7 years ago

Sounds like Zuckerberg has drunk the Kool-Aid. How long until Facebook whithers away into Myspace? Or are people just so stuck in their bubbles that they don't care?

I do know people who say they will quit over the whole analytics thing, which is a pretty big nothingburger in my book. But we know they won't. Facebook is where their reality free zone is. If they start talking to people at the water cooler they might wake up and realize that not everyone thinks like they do. Can't have that so they will be back.

""I actually am not sure we shouldn't be regulated," Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg told CNN. "I actually think the question is more, what is the right regulation""

The "right regulation" probably means something that hurts would-be rivals more than it hurts Facebook.

Especially since Facebook seems to be rolling over to do "voluntarily" a lot of what other platforms would be dragged protestingly into doing.

But it's all good - with competitors hobbled, Facebook will be able to entrench its position in the market.

  33. Rhywun   7 years ago

I only use FB to receive party invites. Haven't logged in for any other reason in years. I've heard that dumping it is harder than dumping your cable TV provider?

  34. Ken Shultz   7 years ago

"I actually am not sure we shouldn't be regulated," Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg told CNN. "I actually think the question is more, what is the right regulation? People should know who is buying the ads that they see on Facebook, and you should be able to go on any page and see all the ads that people are running to different audiences."

So, you shouldn't be able to buy an ad on Facebook without somehow demonstrating ownership of an account with an SSN or Tax-ID?

Why couldn't Zuckerberg start implementing that himself today?

Part of it might be that he's stupid about such things. Part of it might be that regulation often becomes a barrier to other competitors entering the industry. With that kind of regulation in place, Facebook might never have supplanted MySpace, and why would Facebook want to face more competition in the future?

Zuckerberg thinks maybe Facebook needs to be regulated? Color me unsurprised.

    1. loveconstitution1789   7 years ago

Zuckerberg wants to implement that scheme but knows that tens of millions of Americans would flee FB and refuse to give him that info.

He wants government to force people to give him that info.
