President Donald Trump has endorsed Mitt Romney's run for the U.S. Senate.
Mitt right now pulling nervously on his shirt collar.
Hello.
I see the unhinged continue to talk nutty regarding gun-control.
I am at a loss as to the shear stupidity of anti-gunners regarding the issue (though I should not be because we go through this every time there's a mass-shooting). They literally know 1) nothing about firearms 2) know nothing about the history of firearms and 3) know nothing about the relationship of firearms to this country and how that applies to the gov't of this country.
And they are using kids that know even less than the adults to push their agenda. It's kind of sickening, really.
The Donald is after those "Binders full of women".
KFC temporarily ran out of chicken in Britain.
They boiled them all away.
Two separate Pollo Tropicals had no chicken while I was in Florida over the holidays. No, I did not call 911.
Pollo Tropical beats KFC because the former cooks its chicken over the fire and fire-grilled just tastes better than fried. Two chicken breasts with black beans is a decent fast food choice while on vacation / running around.
Wish I could go to PT...but those fuckers closed up shop here in SATX.
The mayor of Dallas has asked the National Rifle Association to find a different city to host its annual convention.
"We're too woke for your tourism dollars."
Well, there goes Texas.
Austin's like a cancer of weird progressiveness.
Austin, Dallas and Houston are screwed. I think one of the really big missed stories of last Presidential election was how purple Texas was. It'd be nice if we could start our own state immigration where we can exclude people fleeing failed blue cities.
Only if you buy up all the land.
Unfortunately, lefties talk shit about capitalism but they buy land like everyone else. They love to flock to some cities to seemingly take them over.
Its actually interesting to see trends where lefties flee blue area they have messed up and then go into solid red states to turn the cities blue. They talk shit about the Southern conservatives for decades and then move right next door.
Almost like a scorched earth policy for lefties. Wreck California and New York and then flee to Texas, Florida, and Georgia.
"Its actually interesting to see trends where lefties flee blue area they have messed up and then go into solid red states to turn the cities blue."
Drives me insane. If you want laws like New England/West Coast then go back. If all the states are the same it undermines our ability to examine the effects of different policy "experiments," because almost universally they fail to do as much as desired.
The states they moved from were victims of bad luck. That the politics they supported screwed the pooch is something they will deny.
No wall, not even a foot, no indictments, and now he's endorsing open borders Romney and talking about gun laws? I am off the Trump train, that's it for me
The United States and South Korea will hold joint military exercises after the Olympics.
The "Nork Queen" would have charmed them into it.
"KFC temporarily ran out of chicken in Britain."
They should call the Tory party. They have more chickens than Colonel Sanders ever dreamt of.
Chicken catch a Tory.
Oh my god.
Wow, just wow
Thread winner.
Vice President Mike Pence spoke out against Joy Behar yet again in an interview with Fox & Friends that aired Monday morning ? after the View host mocked him for his religious beliefs.
Like far too many stories in 2018, this one starts with Omarosa: the former White House aide dished about Pence's beliefs on Celebrity Big Brother, claiming the VP "thinks Jesus tells him to say things."
In response, ladies of the View ? save Meghan McCain ? mocked Pence, with Behar even joking that believing God commands you to speak is a sign of "mental illness."
https://goo.gl/n9XCn7
Hey Pence, if you're hearing voices in your head - YOU'RE MENTALLY ILL
It is sad when the hens on The View have to point this out.
Oh and LoveCons - shut up, moron.
I believe Omarosa here because doing so reinforces my opinions.
If Pence does the right things, what difference does it make why he does it? If hearing the voice of Jesus would get politicians to act responsibly, I wish all of them would have a giant case of the Holy Spirit.
Because it is not "fair" to question someone's religious beliefs. Remember when the Idiot Son Bush said a "higher father" told him to invade Iraq?
He should have been removed from office on the spot.
Or when Bill Clinton said the same about going into Kosovo? Go fuck yourself dickhead.
Hi Butt. I wonder what you will use today to wipe the fury spit from your mouth?
Oprah said she won't run for office because God told her not to.
Behar is an ignorant, partisan stupid idiot.
Who gives a shit about Oprah? I don't. She sidles up with hucksters and medical quacks. She is a female Trump - known for her TV persona and with zero qualifications to be president but good at grifting TV watching idiots.
The point is they'd never go after Oprah for her voices.
I get the impression that you are an enormous hypocrite, PB.
Mocking religious people is totally a winning strategy for Democrats. More, please.
I agree. It's the same up here.
Interestingly, I've reached a 'I've had it' point even though I'm not exactly religious. I do have friends and family who are and lemme tell ya, they ain't anything like the left depicts them.
In fact, I get a whole lot more out of them from an intellectual and moral one than I do run of the mill standard progs and their post-modern, critical theory stupidity.
What about Pence's mental illness?
Oh, we're back to using remote medical diagnoses again? Made by idiot talk show hacks and chat board trolls? LOL good luck with that.
I have no idea how my comment ended up at the bottom of the thread but...
Rufus The Monocled|2.20.18 @ 10:13AM|#
That's retarded even by his low standards.
Russian hijinks?
Here you go, BP: http://www.hearing-voices.org
Many people hear voices. It is not necessarily mental illness. It is an atavism from when humans used it to maintain pack cohesion.
I was going to contact the organization that link references, but luckily I just heard that they lock up everyone who does.
I think it was started by a rabbi and I am pretty sure they are not involved with any government.
Are you a voice from outside?
Special counsel Robert Mueller's interest in Jared Kushner has expanded beyond his contacts with Russia and now includes his efforts to secure financing for his company from foreign investors during the presidential transition...
You know what other Teuton went after the gold of certain tribe members?
Alberich?
The cyber-security company FireEye says that North Korea is developing the capacity to launch massive new cyberattacks.
So gird your fax machines.
My beeper just went off. Should I be worried?
Worry when your cellphone lings.
🙂
Depends on where the beeper is. Is it inside a hooker?
The United States and South Korea will hold joint military exercises after the Olympics.
I mean, while we're over there anyway...
It's amazing how many nations insist on establishing their countries so close to our Navy and Air Force.
To be fair, The Philippines has gotten awfully close to new Chinese territorial islands in the South China Sea.
Libertarian candidate Vann Gutier seeking a recall of John McCain.
"I was under the impression that Sen. McCain was actually headed back to D.C. to go back to work,'' he said. But when pushed for details, Gutier said, "they gave me a six-minute runaround.''
Good for Mr. Gutier. Arizona and the country deserve better than to have a dying, incapacitated Potemkin senator with his staffers and family members constantly sending out Tweetstorms in his name and insulting our intelligence by telling us with a straight face that he's "doing great".
Politics aside, I think McCain's health and ability to serve in the Senate is a legitimate reason to recall him. The guy is sick. I am sorry that he is. But no one at his age suffering from brain cancer has any business in a position of responsibility. Since he does not have the decency or good sense to resign, the people of Arizona have a duty to recall him.
McCain is really selfish on this point. He is so sickly that he is not doing his job, which usually just comes down to voting on a bill.
He's just a selfish prick like most politicians.
The guy is a millionaire. You would think he would want to spend his last months or years enjoying himself. Apparently, the craven acquisition of power is the only thing that matters to him.
Yeah. His tenacity is admirable but bordering on obstinance. He should spend time with friends and family; there's essentially no chance of him completing this term in acceptable health.
Hey, in the grand tradition of Strom Thurmond and Robert Byrd let the old coot just die in the Senate. Its a one of the only bipartisan things we have left.
Nothing like endorsing that two racist Democrats deserve the best.
Fuck him, and fuck you too Weigel. Of course you JournoLists love having that seat be functionally vacant and MIA for as long as possible.
Why is McCain being recalled? Defective airbag?
Well, he IS a defective windbag...

The Flynn case continues to get more interesting. The judge ordered the government to "turn over any exculpatory evidence" to Flynn. Ah, they were supposed to do that before Flynn pleaded guilty. They don't have to turn over all evidence, but they have to turn over all the material evidence against Flynn including any exculpatory evidence against him or the plea isn't voluntary. Just what evidence is the judge talking about here that wasn't already turned over to Flynn before his plea?
I'm running out of popcorn!
Popcorn chicken?
Well, at least federal prosecutors are treating Flynn exactly the way they treat everyone else.
Sadly, yes. They didn't railroad Flynn because of his politics. They railroaded him because they railroad everyone. Flynn is just well known so someone noticed.
As is the judge: he apparently puts out these standing orders for every criminal case before him, as he thinks federal disclosure requirements are too weak. And there seems to be additional wrinkles here because he issued this order last year using outdated language, and so it was refiled last week.
AFAIK. Granted, I'm not a certified military judge.
And that judge was put on this case after the plea was taken. Gee, why would they put a different judge on the case, especially one who is known to demand the government prove they complied with disclosure requirements? Maybe it is all on the up and up. But, saying it is is giving DOJ a lot more of a benefit of the doubt that you would under any other circumstances. I guess Trump has made you a real law and order man Green. Sadly, I am still just as skeptical of DOJ as I have always been. I am just a big meanie like that.
You do have to wonder, if Mueller is this honorable, great, stand-up man of the law, why he would bring on a guy like Andrew Weissmann, a prosecutor with a long accomplished track record of getting convictions... only to have so many of those convictions be overturned later on because of his corrupt, unethical tactics.
Mueller was bad at being an FBI guy when he was an FBI guy and being bad at your job never really changes.
The fact that Weinstein is still employed after what he did to the Enron defendants tells you about everything you need to know about the ethical standards or lack thereof at DOJ. Weinstein is a disgrace.

President Donald Trump has endorsed Mitt Romney's run for the U.S. Senate.
And David Duke endorsed Donald Trump. Look, just because some nutjob endorses a particular candidate, it doesn't follow that the candidate endorses the nutjob, so what are you implying?
+1 transitive property of nutjobs.
Good line.
Thanks.
I think you meant "associative property."
Isn't A=B and B=C, therefore, A=C the transitive property? If not, then thanks for the correction.
No, you are correct. I was making a play on the two different meanings of "associative."
John, you had it right.
President Donald Trump has endorsed Mitt Romney's run for the U.S. Senate.
Binders full of pussy to grab!
Trump would endorse a guy with binders full of women now, wouldn't he?
Special counsel Robert Mueller's interest in Jared Kushner
The fishing expedition continues.
Leave Ivanka out of this.
The mayor of Dallas has asked the National Rifle Association to find a different city to host its annual convention.
"The NRA told the mayor of Dallas to kindly fuck off."
I'm getting tired of the "NRA is the super boogieman that wants your kids to be gunned down in the street" crap.
Money in politics is evil, except when leftists do it.
The truth is most gun owners don't belong to the NRA or care about it and a good number of them loathe the NRA. Gun control is a loser of an issue because millions of gun owners care about it and vote based on it. Progs can't understand that and thus write the whole thing off to the magic power of the NRA.
Personally, I like GOA. The Pratts are good at debating and they are more hardcore on the 2A issue. They also lend support to the BOR as a whole. That said, the National Firearms Museum that the NRA has is pretty awesome.
I don't belong to any of them because I am just not a joiner. But I am absolutely a single issue gun rights voter. There is no compromising with the gun control nuts and I will not support anyone who tries.
John, not being a joiner is an awesome attribute.
It is. But sadly, the world seems to belong to joiners.
Back in the day, I joined both the Massachusetts and the national Libertarian party. I even went to a couple of the national conventions.
But, alas, even within the LP, too much of a herd mentality for my tastes.
Correct me if I am wrong but there are clearly infiltrators hanging around the LP?
Evidently anarchists hang with Libertarians, which is weird since Libertarians are for small limited government and anarchists are against any government.
My understanding is that some anarchists are fine with riding a Libertarian wave and then be the ones to push to end government after it becomes small and limited. Seems like this strategy wouldn't work but that has never stopped socialists from pushing for failed socialist policies.
It has long been said going back to Socrates that the only people worthy of power are those who don't want it. It was true then and it is just as or likely truer now.
I'm join you in not being a joiner.
I don't own a gun and don't have any interest, but I'm 100% behind the right to own a gun and I'm grateful that many people do.
We can use all the support we can get.
Dittoes on all of that
The Pratts are foaming-at-the-mouth neocons. Didn't Larry Pratt get started with some English First organization? That is a bizarre issue to get involved in. He did a bunch of other dumb stuff before settling on gun rights, where he finally found a niche to exploit. Point is, it is not naturally his first passion.
Is the NRA part of the Kochtopus or is the Kochtopus a sockpuppet of the NRA?
What's the NRA?
Neo-Reactionary Alliance. I'm pretty sure they're opposed to the Kochtopus, or rather the Kochtopus is opposed to them.
That's retarded even by his low standards.
I don't own a gun either and have no plans or desire ever to but I'm about as big a believer in the purpose of the 2nd amendment as any gun owner. Being Cuban-American, I know the importance of an armed citizenry to the defense of liberty. If Cubans had any kind of access to weapons in the past 60+ years the wouldn't have remained under a Marxist boot to this day.
I laugh when you hear critics of that position say that citizens could never defeat the military. Is that argument supposed to convince gun owners to give them up? My step-father was in the military in cuba before he got out and trust me, he would say NOTHING concerned the regime more day in and day out than the possibility of any kind of guns getting into the hands of the cuban people.
Someone armed with a rifle hiding in the civilian population is no match for the army and no danger at all. That is why Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan were such easy, low casualty wars, right? If these people didn't have cognitive dissonance, they wouldn't have anything at all.
Thomas said in his dissent he would have allowed the high court to take up the case, and said the decision from the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals is "symptomatic of the lower courts' general failure to afford the Second Amendment the respect due an enumerated constitutional right."
"If a lower court treated another right so cavalierly," Thomas wrote in his dissent, "I have little doubt that this Court would intervene. But as evidenced by our continued inaction in this area, the Second Amendment is a disfavored right in this Court."
Go Clarence Thomas!
The lefties really hate this guy.
The NRA is already in Dallas. Or are we going to have to do this one again?
