In England, Bryan Bloom has decided to quit after almost two decades as a school-crossing guard after the East Riding Council told him to stop high-fiving children as they walked past him. Council members said there had been complaints about him doing so, and even though an investigation found no wrongdoing on his part, officials worried the high-fiving could be seen as grooming.

Whoa, I didn't see that coming. I expected the concern-trolling was going to be about him playing favorites with certain children and the other ones being "left out".

It does leave you wondering he hatched that idea in the group think process. He "could" be grooming young children for abuse, right? I mean it could happen, if not here then some other crossing guard will high five them with the intent of taking advantage of them later. We must therefore act to protect our children from this monster!

The UK has fallen over itself in recent years to ban "unaccompanied adults" from theme parks and even any part of a public park that's near a playground. Not surprising they'd see an ordinary guy making any form of physical contact with children as grooming.
