Brickbat: The Lollipop Man

In England, Bryan Bloom has decided to quit after almost two decades as a school-crossing guard after the East Riding Council told him to stop high-fiving children as they walked past him. Council members said there had been complaints about him doing so, and even though an investigation found no wrongdoing on his part, officials worried the high-fiving could be seen as grooming.

If you are going to illustrate your story, why would you do it with a picture of someone using an American stop signDo you think your readers too dumb to comprehend a picture of a real lollipop man?

There seem to be two big songs called "Lollipop." One is by Lil' Wayne, and the other one is this.
(I'm omitting the Lollipop Guild song because it's just too filthy)
Peter Wizenberg introduced me to the composer of that one, Beverly Ross. She was working on show tunes by then.
They were right to sack him. The last thing the world needs is another generation of dude-bros.
Keep in mind that the progressives want Great Britain as a model for our society.
Enjoying your job and letting children show emotion are anathema.
Pretty much summed up in Walden II by BF Skinner. For the greater good we must all deny ourselves and forego archaic concepts like freedom and dignity.
When you've lost Bryan Bloom, that's pretty much all you need to know about which direction that shit hole country is headed in.
Where did the "high five" originate and from whose culture did we appropriate it?
So this inquisition is just in its beginning stages.
Bad news; it may have been started by a couple of honky baseball players - - - - - -

grooming
Whoa, I didn't see that coming. I expected the concern-trolling was going to be about him playing favorites with certain children and the other ones being "left out".
It does leave you wondering he hatched that idea in the group think process. He "could" be grooming young children for abuse, right? I mean it could happen, if not here then some other crossing guard will high five them with the intent of taking advantage of them later. We must therefore act to protect our children from this monster!
Yep, pretty much all douche bags.
The UK has fallen over itself in recent years to ban "unaccompanied adults" from theme parks and even any part of a public park that's near a playground. Not surprising they'd see an ordinary guy making any form of physical contact with children as grooming.
So this is an anti Muslim story?
Any resemblance to occurrences of "officials" not seeming too worried that hundreds or thousands of rapes might be "seen as grooming" in nearby localities is just a coincidence.
Ah, the guy in the bright yellow slicker might be grooming, but Muhammed, Muhammad, and Mohamed over there chatting up your 11 year old daughters and plying them with liquor isn't worth a mention, amirite?
