Having read the article on microcheating, I gotta say: WTF? So having people you talk to BESIDES your spouse is cheating now? Because honestly, having your entire life wrapped up in your SO seems a lot MORE unhealthy than, you know, talking to friends. Also, incidentally, abusive relationships often involve the abuser trying to get rid of their victim's friends and family?that is, get rid of outside contact, which might form an escape route. Are these guys saying 'yeah, it's right to do this because if you don't it's a form of cheating'? Seriously this seems super-duper fucked up.

That's the first part, BTW. They also mention "not bringing up your spouse in conversation". What, is Mike Pence now everyone's role model? At a business meeting, am I just supposed to randomly talk about my spouse? If there's anyone at fault, it's the non-microcheating spouse. In my experience, husbands hide talking to femaile friends because of the wife's jealousy, or because wife makes difficult to talk about such stuff directly, or because even because wife does not want hubbie to have any friends outside of the marriage. Can't talk to lifelong buddy because wife don't like any of husband's buddies. Switch husband/wife as appropriate. Seen the same thing from the other direction.

Hiding stuff from spouse is not cheating. Sometimes it's the only way for one to get any emotional support. If you suspect your spouse of micro-cheating, look to yourself for both the cause and the solution.

I mean, if there's stuff I won't tell even my lifelong best friend, what makes this person think it's cheating not to confide everything to my spouse?

I've only watched trump give one or two 'speeches', and in both cases he actually did a half-decent job.

of course, all it takes is a few writers to come up with 3-4 decent lines. he still ruins them in delivery, but the writers mostly manage to put together a decent script, even if it bears no relationship to anyone's actual beliefs, much less policy.
