I find it hard to take seriously the idea that Trump is "scrambling" the very meaning of conservatism. If conservatism means anything, it's that there are objective, unchanging truths and values. The Left changes the meanings of words as it suits their purposes, conservatism is unchanging. The idea that just because somebody has an (R) after their name or votes for somebody with an (R) after their name means that they're conservative is nonsense. Just as much as the idea that if you criticize Obama you're a racist, if you criticize Hillary you're a misogynist, if you criticize a Muslim or an immigrant or a gay you're suffering from a phobia. Trump's not a conservative, he's at best a Rockefeller Republican, a "New York values" guy who loves Big Government as much as any Democrat, he just has different opinions as to what it is Big Government should be doing.
