Sequester 2.0!
SyFy movie of the week: Sharquester 2.0
Hello.
Lambaste is one of my favorite words.
White House lawyers are expected to meet with Special Counsel Robert Mueller's team this week
It's a meet and beat
White House lawyers are expected to meet with Special Counsel Robert Mueller's team this week.
To apologize for what their client has tweeted and is about to tweet.
It'll be the yugest blanket apology ever. The best. Believe me.
The WannaCry ransomware attack has reportedly been linked to North Korea.
North Korea's intelligence apparatus is as surprised as anyone that something they did actually worked.
Everyone's worried about NorK nukes, but they may be more dangerous using NSA-developed hacking tools against us.
I would call that "suckback".
That article went through a lot of words and the usual FUD surrounding this stuff before finally winding up at "stupid people click on random email attachments".
If you want a picture of the future, imagine a stupid person clicking on a random email attachment - forever.
Are we supposed to look at this uncritically? That article uses the generic "researchers say" countless times. Only once does it quote an individual expert. And that expert's experience is with a company in Arlington, VA. The CIA's fingerprints are all over this accusation.*
*Yes, I'm wearing a tinfoil hat. So what?
Yeah "North Korea was behind this attack" may just mean that "the hackers who really launched the attack routed it through North Korea".
The WannaCry ransomware attack has reportedly been linked to North Korea.
Those missile tests cost money.
They must not be counterfeit the $100 supernotes anymore and had to switch to fives and ones..
*must not be able
"Members of Congress and government watchdogs are questioning why a little-known House agency used taxpayer funds to investigate a sexual harassment complaint involving Rep. Blake Farenthold's office last year, and then failed to make the results public."
That there's a "little-known" House agency is not at issue, apparently.
Like the little known Pentagon office that investigated UFOs?
"Members of Congress and government watchdogs are questioning why a little-known House agency used taxpayer funds to investigate a sexual harassment complaint involving Rep. Blake Farenthold's office last year, and then failed to make the results public."
Because that's just how House agencies roll?

First Net Neutrality now Debt Totality. How am I doing?
"Please clap."
I assume that you mean the noninfectious type.

Buy the rumor, sell on the news.
Christian school teacher accused of having sex with student

The student was 15.
"Andrea has always felt called to work with youth and is very excited that God opened the door for her to be part of the Logos team," her biography says, according to KPIC.
Hawt.
"Hawt."
Barf.
She is not my type. Mrs. Rabowski, my 7th grade Spanish teacher, on the other hand, was like a much more beautiful version of Charo. She's still my fantasy, though now she must be 70. Oh, well.
If only she were a child rapist/predator/Mrs Robinson for me.
You're treading on Crusty's turf, which somehow makes it even more disreputable. Ugh.
Most of us were in the Debra Lafave Fan Club well before Crusty showed up here.
Not great, but when I was 15 I tried to stick my cock into damn near everything. I forgive him.
Saudi Arabia intercepted a missile fired at Riyadh from Yemen.
I wonder what happens when Saudi Arabia and Iran go to war and it turns out they both already have nukes.
That's how things happen in your strange universe?
No wonder the real world is such a confusing place for you.
Anything could happen at any time, and there's no way for you to tell!
This seems unwarranted.
And it's not even that hard to get a warrant.
+1 rubber stamp
Ken hates pithy people.
I'll throw a party and get drunk that night.
BOOM!
The Panglossian view is that they are both destroyed.
"White House lawyers are expected to meet with Special Counsel Robert Mueller's team this week."
I don't think it's appropriate for Trump's lawyers to insist that Mueller do jail time; if he confesses to everything, they should just let Mueller do his time at home--wearing one of those ankle bracelets or something.
"Three deaths have been confirmed so far as a result of yesterday's Amtrak derailment in Washington state."
Following Puerto Rico's lead, the Governor of Washington is demanding a recount.
The initial reports said 6. I suppose 3 of them were resurrected.
Ford is saying we're only about 5 years away from having self-driving cars on the road. Why do we not already have self-driving trains? Or at least have technology in place that prevents an engineer from driving 80mph in a 30mph zone?
Unions? Government run trains? Deep dish pizza?
Same reason that we can't find crashed airliners.
Whatd'ya mean? Until 1985, they still had FIREMEN on trains. Not to fight fires, but to shovel COAL into the boilers. They unions mandated that, by golly, the old trains could not run safely without firemen, so the new trains needed firemen, unto the heat death of the universe.
Next you'll be wanting to get rid of horse-shoe school licensing, geez.
Cannot fathom why some might think unions, particularly public ones, don't do anybody any good.
We're just a few more tweaks to amphetamines away.
Self driving cars are always 'only about 5 years away'.
The technology (to stop trains from doing 80 in a 30 zone) already exists, but wasn't yet installed on that train.
These media hacks actually think that trying to make Trump and Gorsuch upset with one another will lead to Gorsuch siding with lefties on Supreme Court cases.
Well, the Washington Post reported that Trump talked about rescinding Neil Gorsuch's Supreme Court nomination after the far-right jurist criticized the president's attacks on the federal judiciary.
Trump, according to several people with knowledge of the discussions, was upset that Gorsuch had pointedly distanced himself from the president in a private February meeting with Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.), telling the senator he found Trump's repeated attacks on the federal judiciary "disheartening" and "demoralizing."
The president worried that Gorsuch would not be "loyal," one of the people said, and told aides that he was tempted to pull Gorsuch's nomination ? and that he knew plenty of other judges who would want the job.
NBC hacks
Gorsuch is clearly aware that some of his fellow judges are bad apples. He probably sees some of the government attorneys that argue for more state power as bad apples too.
LOL, you're not getting me to click on Maddow.
Oh god, please tell me "click" is not a euphemism.
Yeah. sorry about the Maddow link. That's why I reprinted the relevant text but cited properly.
I wish Reason would be the only people to click the link and report on it, so none of us have to give the lefty media additional click credit.
Agreed. She might want attention or benefit.
Saudi Arabia intercepted a missile fired at Riyadh from Yemen."
How did they intercept it was it in flight Scientific American keeps saying thats impossible?
Scientific American seemed pretty scientific when I was a kid. Now it seems more like Proggy Science Worship Quarterly.
