President Trump visits Puerto Rico today.
Show those bastards how it's done, Mr. President!
Hello.
I bet Air Farce One clears their damned wall.
On the contrary, now is a great time to point out what a horrible idea gun control is.
That's not how I feel.
Mark Cuban reportedly "considering" a run for president.
U.S. to expel 15 Cuban embassy staff
So, no on the first one?
Is Mark Cuban Cuban?
Necessarily, just like you're a Mean Girl.
And you're a pre-owned vehicle.
No, you can't discern anything from me. I don't have a last name. I am Mononymous like Cher.
"The Pope has one, but he doesn't use it."
Look at BUCS, busting out a $5 SAT word.
Do you know what else BUCS has in common with Cher?
They've both featured in an X-Files episode?
He was groomed by Sonny?
They're both privy to a lot of Chaz Bono's most intimate secrets?
Nipple tape?
They both have a closet full of unbelievable Oscar dresses?
This news would have made me happier if Cuban hadn't gone full Hillary supporter last year.
Spanish King Felipe calls Catalan referendum illegal.
Do monarchs generally ever favor referendums?
...generally ever ....
Why knot?
Spanish kings have been known to favor inquisitions, but no one expects that.
Spanish kings have been known to favor inquisitions, but no one expects that.
Indeed few do, under many situations.
I forgot Spain still had a king. Is he even less powerful than the Queen of England, who at least still has a lot of power should she choose to use it?
Mark Cuban reportedly "considering" a run for president.
Nice try, but I think I'll be voting for Mark American.
I'll mark this post.
Mmmmmm, Markie Post.
Trump is basically ADA Dan Fielding in the flesh.
Mark Cuban reportedly "considering" a run for president.
So am I, but I'm leaning toward "no".
Anyway, it's Oprah's turn.
I think Oprah is about 20 years too late. She doesn't have the kind of juice she used to have.
Oprah. Mark-cuban my words.
The Democrats would never nominate a white billionaire. The various hate groups would never tolerate it. If Cuban wants to Democratic nomination, he better change his name to Michelle and go pre-op.
You know who does have the juice and is conveniently available...
OJ's cellmate?
Jon Jones?
Ron Jeremy?
The Kool-Aid Man, having busted through a wall?
So, John, you are saying the Oprah juice has expired?
It is past its sell-by date.
Stedman!
She gave us Obama.
U.S. to expel 15 Cuban embassy staff
Using a sound cannon?
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell says it's 'premature' to talk about gun control.
And PE.
President Trump visits Puerto Rico today.
Haven't they experienced enough moist wind?
I am slightly surprised that you, X, did not choose adjectives evoking more blustery imagery.
Look, it's been a long day.
moist wind
Nice band name.
Ugh, the worst kind of wind. Underwear destroying kind.
It's a good thing I wore my brown pants.

Journalists really are epic douche bags. Look at that guy. He makes my skin crawl. The hipster beard, the smug, angry look on his face, the doofus glasses. Why do these people always come right out of the "smug douche bag" section of central casting?
I don't know, I think it's kind of awesome. Stuff like this is why I laugh at people who whinge about MUH DECORUM when it comes to Trump. These people and their fellow travelers are the cultural gatekeepers of this country, and if they weren't such foul-mouthed, drug-addled, drama-queen degenerates, Trump would still be a glorified real estate huckster instead of President of the United States.
We have a guy like Trump as President because we have an overclass of people just like him, they just don't want to admit it.
Spanish King Felipe calls Catalan referendum illegal.
People need to stop conflating "I don't like it" with Illegal.
And "illegal" with "wrong".
Conflating "i don't like it" with "illegal" is sort of the identifying feature of a monarchy, holmes.
Royal edict, law of the land, kind of cool.
He has a quill and a town crier.
Mark Cuban reportedly "considering" a run for president.
Since it turns out just anybody can do it.
If I was famous I would consider so many fucking things out loud. Get myself into the news all the damn time.
"BUCS Considers A Bridge To Unite Palestinians and Israelis, Braided From Pubic Hair"
Pfft, that's something I'd consider before I even started drinking.
It has been suggested debts, a relationship collapse, or his family history may have contributed to the his drive to kill.
What is conversion to Islam, chopped liver?
That title suggests that "Something" was the cause for him doing this.
Did he convert to Islam? Is there any evidence of that?
Only the ISIS claim, as yet unsubstantiated. And speculation that his girlfriend may have been Muslim, also as yet unsubstantiated.
Does that make her a "MILF"?
MILF. An organization in the Philippines seeking to establish an Islamic state on the island of Mindanao.
It has been suggested.
I like to keep track of the sort of people who think that that fairly normal life challenges are good motives for murder...so I can steer clear of them

Las Vegas shooter wired $100,000 to the Philipines days before the attack. That is odd.
I just had an awful thought; but since this is H&R, here goes:
Paddock *bet somebody* that he would do it.
Contrary to popular belief, Hit & Run isn't some clearing house for commenters' dark thoughts. Or is it?
From your mouth to Preet's ears.
Like a lover's breath.
Did you know he now has a podcast?
Doesn't everybody have a podcast nowadays?
Is it called My Preety Injunction?
Should be, but isn't.
Preety, uh, *pretty* sure it's a clearing house for the article posters' dark thoughts.
Jesus Christ, dude, I laughed at that, and now I need to upgrade my ticket to hell to first class.
Are you saying you DON'T? What a nerd.
I have *never* wired anything to the Philippines.
Sorry.
Evidence that everyone here is a god damned nerd keeps mounting.
Pfft! I bet you like Star Wars.
I've never seen them, never needed any sci-fi films other than Alien.
His girlfriend was in the Philippines. Maybe he wanted her to have some cash because he knew he was going to die.
That was my guess.
Nah, it couldn't possibly be the simplest explanation.
Las Vegas shooter wired $100,000 to the Philipines days before the attack. That is odd.
I'd bet big money that his girlfriend is a Muslim, is the key to this entire incident, is the person who turned him against his country and motivated him to carry out this attack, and is never coming back to the United States again.
Never underestimate the awesome ability of a woman to drive a man insane and get him to do whatever she wants him to. The force of gravity is nothing compared to the power of the pussy.
That is probably a pretty good bet. Women drive culture and men think with their dicks. It was Colin Kapernick's crazy bitch girlfriend who got him to throw away his career.
Also, it is a very odd coincidence that she happened to be out of the country the day her boyfriend blew a gasket and murdered a bunch of people. She really had no clue her live in boyfriend was going to do something crazy? Everything was just hunky dory when she left and he just happened to go on a killing spree while she was gone?
Bullshit. I think she was likely in on it and knew of the plan. And that is why she was out of the country thus making it harder to connect her to it and putting her out of reach of US law enforcement.
Or she dumped him right before she left the country, and that's why he snapped. And that wouldn't preclude him from sending her money anyway, because human emotions are complicated things.
Dumped boyfriends kill the women who dump them.
And furthermore, he didn't just "snap". He was planning to carry out this attack (or a similar major attack) for weeks or even months ahead of time.
That's a lot to pay for an under age Filipino sex slave. Fishy indeed. Maybe he buys them in bulk?
Does he have a daughter to marry off to a Catalonian prince?
Does she have huuge...tracts of land?

Six dumbest celebrity reactions to Las Vegas. I think we need a bigger list
No way not to politicize this tragedy. It's about gender & race
It's about time. It's about space.
A white guy kills a bunch of white people at a country concert and somehow it is all about race. It takes a special kind of stupid to say that.
What, he didn't think brown people were worth killing? What a shitlord.
Shitlord? Or edgelord?
#StopWhiteonWhiteGenocide
Now Rich, you must not think bad thoughts.
Christ, Rich, are you as old as I am? I thought I was the only one in the world who remembered that show.
Now I need to know the reference. I thought it was a reference to I Must Not Think Bad Thoughts by X.
Youre probably right. My reference involves Imogene Coca.
Number of gun laws that could have prevented any mass shooting: 0
that's why we need better top men to think up new and more creative laws, duh!
We're they common sense laws? Because that's what we need. Common. Sense. Laws.
Common. Sense.
Can we just have some common sense Common Sense?
IRS awards multimillion-dollar fraud-prevention contract to Equifax

"As everybody knows, lightning never strikes the same place twice, right?"
Oh, FFS! We really live in Bizarro World! 8-(
The hell with Mark Cuban. Trump has mentally prepared the country for a paradigm shift. John McAfee in 2020!
Cuban running for the Democrats, Trump as the Republican incumbent, McAfee outta left field as the Libertarian, but what billionaire lunatic is gonna run for the Greens? The vegan yurt-building industry hasn't produced all that much economic success.
The Greens will nominate a tree.
Come to think of it, a tree would make an excellent president.
Is it even morally permissable for a Green to become rich? I mean, that doesn't sound sustainable.
Either Ben or Jerry.
Elon Musk
Him or the gay guy who sued Gawker into oblivion. I would take that guy as President.
Hulk Hogan? He's not gay. But he is eligible for office.
No. Peter Theil. The gay guy who bankrolled Hogan.
Please tell me "bankrolled" isn't a euphemism.
Didn't he recently end up in some violent fight?
Today's Tuesday, so probably.
Trump administration is apparently in favor of the death penalty for homosexuals:
US votes against UN resolution condemning gay sex death penalty, joining Iraq and Saudi Arabia
Well, I'm glad to see it passed the UN anyway and that hatred of homosexuals is now over.
The veto has nothing to do with gays. They vetoed it because the resolution did not affirm the right of nations to have the death penalty for appropriate crimes. The resolution was a Trojan horse designed to start to make the death penalty against international law. The resolution said the death penalty was a categorical violation of international law in all cases. The US offered amendments, which were turned down. The whole point was to get a UN statement about the death penalty. They put it on a gay resolution so that people like you could then lie and say "see Trump hates gays".
RTFA Stormey. Seriously.
What is the diplomatic relevance of changed "Recognizing" to "Acknowledging"?
"[The resolution] also expressed "serious concern that the application of the death penalty for adultery is disproportionately imposed on women"."
Got it - stone more men to death.
US citizen kept as a military prisoner after allegedly fighting for ISIS - what to do with him?
On no account should the Defense Department resurrect the past policy of 'enemy combatant' detention of U.S. citizens, which proved to be a legal and moral failure."
Sounds like they should fight against any definition of enemy combatant. If it is immoral to keep a US citizen in this way, I can't see why it suddenly becomes moral if they just happened to be born elsewhere.
WaPo finds an acorn.
I used to think gun control was the answer. My research told me otherwise.
I wonder how many people already understand this. I keep seeing people saying "something" needs to be done. I see very few suggestions for actual things to be done. I see people clamor for "common sense" restrictions. I don't see people naming what those are.
Thank you for posting that. It's always refreshing to see a rational person on the left. Too bad the comments are still full of "but muh feelz!"
Out of the Box solution to Gerrymandering:
Get rid of congressional redistricting. When you register to vote, you get to choose which of your state's congressional districts you're in.
Go a step farther and make all votes public and binding. Vote for a Democrat, live under a Democrat government and all the laws they pass. Vote Republican, live under Republican law. Vote Libertarian, live under Libertarian laws, if any. (Don't vote, and no one bothers you if you don't bother them, but they don't give you any goodies either.) Each political party gets their own Congress, and pays their chosen taxes to that Congress who divvies up the loot for that party's political priorities.
Real crimes (those with victims suffering physical or monetary harm) get prosecuted in the victim's party's courts. Civil lawsuits go to a neutral court.
This would eliminate any guarantee of intra-state geographical representation. Which may be fine, but just pointing out that that's the justification for the current system.
