Tom Petty, R.I.P.
Are we certain? Are we sure he's not going to come around here anymore?
Sorry, Eugene. We got all the Petty puns out of our system yesterday.
Fist is a Johnny-come-lately? Oh how the links have fallen.
Is that another term for trailblazer?
Forgive me: Fist is still the Johnny-come-early we all know and love.
Thank you.
Bump it.
Sorry, Eugene. We got all the Petty puns out of our system yesterday.
We should have known right then it was too good to last.
Hello.
RIP Petty.
Kip S. Thorne have won this year's Nobel Prize in physics.
Hopefully, Rip Torn will play him in the biopic.
What we know so far about Las Vegas shooter Stephen Paddock.
Multimillionaire gambling accountant for ISIS.
He's a modern-day Bill Brasky.
He had dandruff the size of mice?
Equifax now says that the personal information of an additional 2.5 million people was affected by the data breach of its systems.
Now includes all of the non-existent people eligible to vote in Chicago.
To put it in perspective, that's a fraction of the number of people who attended this year's inauguration.
"CBS fired a company executive Monday after she criticized some victims of the Las Vegas mass shooting as 'Republican gun toters' who did not deserve sympathy."
You can be overtly anti-bitter-clingers but keep it inside the building.
The penis and butt surgeries went way wrong. And a fake doctor will pay for it
Just jelq, bro.
The victim sent text-message photos of his mangled genitals to Schreiber, police said.
And yet it's teenagers with normal genitals who are getting in trouble over this sort of thing.
"Butt implant" was my nickname. . .
penis enlargement procedures gone awry

The CIA has denied a request by the bipartisan leaders of the Senate Judiciary Committee to let them view some of the same information about Russian meddling that the intelligence committee has already seen
This is how you tease season 2.
They deny the request, but have no scruples wire tapping the senate committee rooms.
Their funding should be cut by 90% so that they only have time/resources to work on the important stuff. And by "important" I mean constitutional.
Consider yourself wiretapped
They should be kicked out of the United States. When the French Foreign Legion tried to overthrow De Gaulle, they were banned from the country - they were too much of a threat to their sovereignty. We should shut down Langley and for them to move to any other country stupid enough to host them.
The American scientists Rainer Weiss, Barry C. Barish, and Kip S. Thorne have won this year's Nobel Prize in physics.
For showing using the theory of quantum gravity how an American can have the name Rainer.
Equifax now says that the personal information of an additional 2.5 million people was affected by the data breach of its systems.
Give the hackers credit.
How Betsy DeVos is quietly erasing Obama's education legacy
Vox unintentionally shows that Betsy DeVos is the most bestest ever.
Money should be spent to teaching lazy teachers how to use ipads in classrooms!
Burrito Day was my nickname in college.
FFS. We've known most of that BS is junk science for how long now?
It will only become junk science when Oprah says it is junk science.
I guess the kids better get used to bringing their own little packets of salt. Because otherwise, blecch
Progressives truly have a glorious vision of the modern society.
A lot of this "professional development" stuff is a pointless racket that's designed more to separate teachers from their money than to improve school curriculums or student performance.
Well, it is a mandatory employment type (as in the Government has ensured that it is a field where there must be warm bodies, no matter the cost) so it's hardly surprising a vast and wasteful cottage industry has grown up around it.
I mean, just take a gander at textbooks for college classes and tell me I'm wrong. Hooray, subsidy! It definitely doesn't distort markets!

"CBS fired a company executive Monday after she criticized some victims of the Las Vegas mass shooting as 'Republican gun toters' who did not deserve sympathy."
There's never a pack of man-eating wild dogs around when you need one.
The funny thing is that she is an entertainment lawyer. Her whole career is based on keeping her clients from saying stupid shit on social media. I would love to hear her explanation of why she thought posting that was a good idea.
I'm pretty sure she will be snatched up [make of that what you will...] by MSN, Vox, Salon, Mother Jones, Esquire, Pop Sugar or some similar bullshit organization for doing what she did.
Sometimes people in echo chambers think they're listening to conversations, not echoes.
She probably has a long history of posting bats--t insane leftist drivel encouraged by her employer and thought why would this be any different.
Well, shucks, everybody she knows thinks the same thing!
I'm being a little facetious but not much. People like her don't like rural folk, don't know them, and don't want to know them. It's another example of why the media was so shocked by the results of the 2016 election.
Conservatives don't like liberals and progs. There is no denying that. But progs seem to have an outright bloodlust towards their enemies. It is gone well past the point of being disturbing.
The comments in that article are exhibit A to your point. One basically said that what she said was fine because conservatives are anti-PC. Because being glad that people were murdered is the same as being against the idea that everything you don't like is racist or Hitler
So an 'entertainment lawyer' is literally the exact same thing as an agent or publicist? Or a Public Relations Rep?
That seems unlikely.
USC professor's 'episode' led to campus scare, LAPD says
I bet the students wished they could have changed the channel!
the professor, who was not identified, told her students to lock the doors and get on the floor. Then, she began yelling, "active shooter."
That's a hell of an "episode."
Looks like this episode...
[dons sunglasses]
...wasn't a clip show.
There's a lot of very important information that seems completely absent from that story...
The use of the word 'episode' seems to imply it was a mental health breakdown of some kind, which seems pretty likely given that it's L.A.
"CBS fired a company executive Monday after she criticized some victims of the Las Vegas mass shooting as 'Republican gun toters' who did not deserve sympathy."
Classy.
Didn't you hear? WE ALL HAVE BLOOD ON OUR HANDS.
Well, everyone but the swat team, ironically.
The CIA has denied a request by the bipartisan leaders of the Senate Judiciary Committee to let them view some of the same information about Russian meddling that the intelligence committee has already seen...
If they let just anyone see it, the intelligence committee loses all of its specialness.
Trump should just do what Obama did--downgrade the document classifications and then spread them around to various offices.
The Obama administration did a whole lot worse than that in regards to how it handled American citizens information in their illegal wiretapping of citizens. They did basically all the things the critics have warned about since those data ops became public.
Gravity waves are a scam much like bitcoin. Jew 'science'.

"CBS fired a company executive Monday after she criticized some victims of the Las Vegas mass shooting as 'Republican gun toters' who did not deserve sympathy."
What do you call 59 dead Republican country music fans?
A good start.

Skipping breakfast tied to higher risk of hardening in arteries
Breakfast is like sex in that something - whether it is a bow of oatmeal, a Denver omelet, or your very heavy neighbor who smiles and waves seductively - is better than nothing.
Disaffirmative. There's a reason my very heavy neighbor has had five husbands run away screaming.
Another entry into the "Police are monsters" file: Two La Crosse residents arrested for having sex in car; suspect says cop was 'blocking' him
Cock-blocking son of a gun!
"You're a man. You should understand. It's Oktoberfest weekend," Puttkemery told the officer while standing nude outside his car.
That is alpha as fuck.
That's in Wisconsin - the young man has a point.
The policeman was confused because there was none of the domestic battery he was accustomed to going on.
Trevor Noah: 'I Have Never Been To A Country Where People Are So Afraid To Speak About Guns'
Of all the horrible late night...comedy?...takes, this is the worst.
*reports spam*
Guns are banned in the UK and even saying that you think people have a right to self defense gets you run out of society. I guess Trevor didn't notice that.
I was at an event at the Kennedy Center this fall and he was playing in one of the other theaters. The crowd was like night of the living dead. You could almost feel unthinking conformity and smugness in your eyes.
What he means is that people aren't shouting down the pro-2A people like he expects.
Between John Oliver and Trevor Noah and whoever this other new Aussie guy is, I have to wonder what other country you can go to where foreigners can come in and start talking shit about the country and they get rich and famous doing it? Is there a British or Canadian or Australian late-night TV show hosted by Ted Nugent talking about what a bunch of loser pussies there are in those countries?
I keep seeing commercials for some guy trying to be the new Stephen Colbert. He has some new fake news show where he gives some grotesque caricature of anyone who questions any sort of leftist dogma. I never found Colbert to be that funny, but he did have his moments. But this guy, holy shit, it is just awful, painfully unfunny. He seems to actually be less funny than Oliver and Noah, who were, in turn, less funny than Stewart and Colbert. Where does this end? How unfunny will the next guy be?
Not as unfunny as Samantha Bee.
I think he is as bad or maybe worse than Samantha Bee, as bold of a statement as that is. Bee is one of the most grating and unfunny people on earth.
He has some new fake news show where he gives some grotesque caricature of anyone who questions any sort of leftist dogma. I never found Colbert to be that funny, but he did have his moments.
It's The Opposition with Jordan Keppler and for about 5 sec. I thought Comedy Central had recovered from it's TDS and finally figured it out, then the commercial kept going. Colbert walked an edge where he would occasionally score an 'own goal'. The Opposition seems like exactly the sort of political comedy that would come from a mind like Lena Dunham or Anita Sarkeesian. Like if you just mashed Stephen Colbert together with Ron Burgundy, you couldn't possibly miss.
The Infowars parody guy?
None of those individuals were actually 'funny' is one problem. Were they, at one point, hilarious? Sure, that's how a career gets made. After you 'arrive' as a host, you're allowed (forced?) to drop any pretense of comedy and just repeat the religious dogma of the left.
Compare this to guys like John Cleese, who's politics I almost entirely disagree with, and you'll see the difference. While they disagree, they also recognize that Comedy shouldn't have politics.
Then, when you compare to a guy like Mel Brooks, you really start to see the difference. Guys like Noah, Colbert, and Stewart are just mouthpieces for other interests masked as entertainment that is masked as news. It's like a nesting doll of lies.
Comedy can have politics. But it should still be funny, not just preaching.
The progs in our country have a massive inferiority complex. They're seriously bummed that the U.S. isn't a "social democracy" (or whatever phrase they're using for "Marxist shithole" these days) like the more "civilized" countries.
I just read Reason's interview with the Egyptian guy; I'd check out a late-night show with him. A foreigner with first hand experience of what real tyrannical government is.
I did too. I don't have the exact quote but it was something like "Republicans are the cause of everything bad in America" makes me think he'd fit right in to the landscape.
Huh? Everyone always talks about guns after a high profile shooting incident. Some politicians are hesitant to talk about banning guns, even though they want to, because they want to get reelected. Maybe that's what he means.
We're a country of gun nuts who don't like to talk about guns. We polish and shoot them in silence.
We polish and shoot them in silence fully suppressed without talking.
Also, on Youtube.
Whenever liberals talk about being scared I'm reminded of this
Trevor Noah: 'I Have Never Been To A Country Where People Are So Afraid To Speak About Guns'
OK, I've been quiet for too long on the subject. It's obvious after the events of this past weekend that the human mind or psyche or whatever is frail. That even the most composed and seemingly well-situated man can, at a moments notice, lose all rationality and commit completely repulsive and heinously murderous acts for no other reason than his broken mind can generate in the moments he is compelled by it. I'm convinced that we can no longer sit idly by while a lone individual takes it upon himself to take the lives of other people on an unprecedented scale. That to remain inactive while tens, hundreds, or even potentially thousands of lives are lost simply because of the heartless actions of one man is a terrible and morally reprehensible crime.
All of this is why in this moment of ongoing national tragedy, I renew my call for reviving and expanding The War Powers Act to include not just boots-on-the-ground conflict but drone assassinations, missile strikes, and nuclear attacks as well. These decades-long tragedies that claim far more lives than any mass shooter ever could have got to end. The far-reaching and egoistic brinksmanship needs to be reigned in once and for all.
Sounds reasonable
Or maybe it's the pschotropic medication?
Sure you have, Trevor--it's called South Africa, the land of your birth.
"The CIA has denied a request by the bipartisan leaders of the Senate Judiciary Committee to let them view some of the same information about Russian meddling that the intelligence committee has already seen, according to the panel's top Democrat."
Maybe they should stop asking and start telling. Who the hell is the CIA to tell their bosses "No"? Cut off their funding, start investigating their (unconstitutional) outside sources of funding, start sending people to jail. And that's not just the CIA, that's all of them that are operating as a law unto themselves.
The Creepiest Urban Legend in Every State
Delaware sucks. Let's sell it to Canada or Puerto Rico or some other useless hellhole.

Lamest. Ghost. Ever.
Here is how you do a ghost story about a judge.
I'm now seeing reports that Paddock transferred a significant amount of money to "someone" in the Phillippines before the attack.
Well gosh golly gee willikers, I wonder if there's any chance that "someone" could possibly be his girlfriend/likely accomplice given that she oh-so-conveniently just happened to skedaddle off to the Philippines ahead of time!
Probably it was guns.
The woman whose address he shared and whose casino credits card he used sure seemed to look Filipino. Could still just be chance if she's been gone for months and that's when he started his plan. Wouldn't be unusual for a millionaire to send his girlfriend spending money.
She was Indonesian/Australian.
At least half of the worst people on earth.
