Brickbat: The Old College Try

Cambridgeshire, England, police are investigating Jason Osamade Okundaye for tweets he made in support of violent protesters. Okundaye, who is head of Cambridge University's Black and Minority Ethnic Society, tweeted that "ALL white people are racist. White middle class, white working class, white men, white women, white gays, white children they can ALL geddit."

"ALL white people are racist. White middle class, white working class, white men, white women, white gays, white children they can ALL geddit."
Investigated for saying this? FINALLY, I can honestly say "this could not happen in America."
I did not know there was a part of Britain that was first settled by black folk. Then again,I never went to Cambridge.
BTW,I am not racist,I treat all my orphans the same,no matter their race or gender..
"I treat all my orphans the same,no matter their . . . gender.."
Ewww.
You only learn that part if you get a free ride, instead of having to pay for it.
That may be the salient quote with regards to why there is an investigation.
Also, he's the head of an organized group. Dunno how much that means, but if the head of the UAW had tweeted "smash everything" in the midst of violent protests involving UAW members, he might have gotten a visit as well.
Or he might get re-elected - - - -
Ever wonder how many union members violently blocking access to a work place have been arrested and convicted as opposed to peaceful protesters at an abortion site?
Sadly, the head of the UAW is specifically protected by law when it comes to making violent threats. Its how the unions brought us the weekend!
I wonder what that investigation looks like.
What is there to investigate and why are the police involved? His comments seem like par for the course for many of our college professors.
A black man said "smash everything"; that needs to be investigated.
The investigation consists of determining if he can be tied to a muslim group.
If so, the investigation is dismissed in the name of religious tolerance; if not, the investigation is dismissed in the name of racial tolerance.
Welcome to the revolution.
To be fair, from what I know from watching BBC, a police investigation consists of a bobby popping round the office and asking, "What's all this, then?"
geddit
I don't get it.
"Geddit" is just the way they talk at Cambridge, I think. It's upper-class British, like "wanker" and " 'ey, wot?" and "fook off".
a linux text editor?
I suppose investigating a black racist is at least applying the lae ewuitably, if you like that sort of law.
So racist that they hired an angry Nigerian ingrate to head a department of one of their most prestigious institutions.
This guy can go fuck himself.
