President Donald Trump is in Paris today for meetings with French President Emmanuel Macron.

“These Frogs are tremendous people. Believe me.”

    1. Scarecrow Repair & Chippering   8 years ago

      Bonjour. Especially their legs.

      1. Aloysious   8 years ago

        mmmm… legs…

    2. Rufus The Monocled   8 years ago

      Hello.

I guess it’s true. The GOP have no balls.

      Trump’s first loss!

  2. Fist of Etiquette   8 years ago

“In defiance of a court order, the Justice Department is refusing to release part of a security form dealing with Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ contacts with the Russian government.”

    More like contract highs.

  3. Fist of Etiquette   8 years ago

Vice President Mike Pence: “When the time comes, Senator Mitch McConnell and Rand Paul will do the right thing together and we will pass legislation to repeal and replace Obamacare.”

    Or else.

    1. Juice   8 years ago

Or else I will squint at you even harder.

  4. Fist of Etiquette   8 years ago

Sen. Rand Paul: “I’ll vote ‘no’ as it stands now. The Senate Obamacare bill does not repeal Obamacare. Not even close.”

The Party of No is back in session I guess.

    1. Anomalous   8 years ago

      Dr. No Jr. speaks.

    2. dan'o en barrel   8 years ago

Honestly, it makes more sense for GOP to not pass what they have. The only upside is to be able to bellow that they repealed ACA, even though Gruber himself says it isn’t a repeal. The elimination of the mandate (while the right thing to do) will accelerate the death spiral– but the Cons would have to own it.

Tactically, I think it would be better to step back and let the thing fall apart, though I worry who has control when it does. From the rubble we’re in danger of going single payer, though maybe a chance to change to something more market driven (I’m allowed to dream, damnit.)

  5. Fist of Etiquette   8 years ago

Former Brazilian president Luiz In?cio Lula da Silva has been sentenced to nearly 10 years in prison on corruption charges.

If South America starts jailing every corrupt leader…

    1. Tom Bombadil   8 years ago

Where you drink champagne and it tastes just like Coca-Cula,
      C-U-L-A, Cula.

I asked him his name and in a dark brown voice he said Lula,
      L-U-L-A, Lula.

  6. Scarecrow Repair & Chippering   8 years ago

Well this is interesting. I happened to pop into this page with only 6 comments, almost all from FoE, unadorned by lesser comments. Didn’t even see Hello from Rufus.

Page is kind of ugly with only FoE comments.

    1. Fist of Etiquette   8 years ago

Ugly? Or too beautiful for this world?

      1. Citizen X - #6   8 years ago

        Definitely the first one.

        1. Scarecrow Repair & Chippering   8 years ago

Yes, now it’s beginning to look more disorganized.

Some people like the P-51. I like the Corsair. Just as good, more robust, better attack plane, and it looks decently disorganized instead of all prettified and tarted up by someone with too much time on their hands.

          Same with F-4 Phantom vs F-15, F-16, F-18.

Same with all FoE all morning all evening.

          1. Citizen X - #6   8 years ago

I think we all just learned a little something about Scarecrow Repair’s fetishes that nobody really needed to know.

            1. Scarecrow Repair & Chippering   8 years ago

I cherish you and Crusty like old friends with warts and character. So much better than the blow up dolls.

          2. Tom Bombadil   8 years ago

My father flew the F4. Said it was like flying a rocket powered beast-truck. He loved it.

            1. Citizen X - #6   8 years ago

Said it was like flying a rocket powered beast-truck.

Then he took another bong rip and listened to old Slayer records for the rest of the afternoon.

              1. Tom Bombadil   8 years ago

Dear old dad didn’t rip no bongs. But flying an F4 over Nam makes bong rips look pretty gay.

          3. Dillinger   8 years ago

            F-4. Favorite.

    2. Tom Bombadil   8 years ago

Please don’t call the shitheads out of their slumber.

  7. loveconstitution1789   8 years ago

    Russia Scandal Grows
All according to the media that predicted Hillary would win by a landslide.

It must really be frustrating for media types to spend all this time and effort on making up any criminal activity and then have most Americans not call for Trump’s impeachment.

    1. Jgalt1975   8 years ago

I missed Ross Douthat being a huge Clinton supporter: A Conspiracy of Dunces.

    2. damikesc   8 years ago

I’m astonished to learn that trying to get dirt on a political rival is now illegal.

      1. Memory Hole   8 years ago

We have Trump Jr, Kushner and Manafort colluding with the Russian govt and it’s all in writing preserved forever. Hahahaha!

        1. damikesc   8 years ago

We have Trump Jr, Kushner and Manafort colluding with the Russian govt and it’s all in writing preserved forever. Hahahaha!

What PRECISELY did the collusion entail?

          Specifics, son.

    3. Domestic Dissident   8 years ago

What’s really pathetic is that it looks more and more like this so-called “libertarian” foundation is joining the rest of the lefty media in calling for a renewal of the Cold War, if not World War III itself.

      1. damikesc   8 years ago

Basically. Iraq was a “huge mistake” — but war with Russia is justified. For reasons.

    4. meta   8 years ago

What’s it growing into? Can it be cured? Or is it growing into a living breathing organism soon to be born? Maybe this will profiled on unsolved mysteries with a special guest appearance by Robert Stack or his ghost not sure if he’s still around.

  8. Citizen X - #6   8 years ago

“In defiance of a court order, the Justice Department is refusing to release part of a security form dealing with Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ contacts with the Russian government.”

    ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED?

    1. Tom Bombadil   8 years ago

“Just say No” is making a huge comeback.

    2. mad.casual   8 years ago

      ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED?

No, this is Episode 2 quality entertainment at best. Wake me up when The Dark Lord is strangling his own subordinates with the force.

  9. Citizen X - #6   8 years ago

Vice President Mike Pence: “When the time comes, Senator Mitch McConnell and Rand Paul will do the right thing together and we will pass legislation to repeal and replace Obamacare.”

The fantasyland prognosis is awful rosy. Does Mike Pence comment here?

    1. Tom Bombadil   8 years ago

“When the time comes, Senator Mitch McConnell and Rand Paul will do the right thing together ”

That’s why Pence refuses to have dinner alone with either of them. The temptation is just to much to bear.

  10. Rufus The Monocled   8 years ago

Macron: We will not stand, sir, for your insolence!
Trump (throws macaron): Here. You’re grumpy without your snack.

  11. wakumonij   8 years ago

like Todd responded I’m blown away that a single mom able to get paid $480000 in four weeks on the computer . go to the website????

    1. Dillinger   8 years ago

  12. Sevo   8 years ago

So one of the Chron sportswriters has taken up the SJW torch regarding Kaepernick, claiming those meanies in the NFL are signing him for his progressive views!
Well, it looks like a lot of us are of another opinion, and some who hold that opinion know whereof they speak:
“Joe Montana, arguably one of the two greatest quarterbacks in NFL history, doesn’t think Colin Kaepernick is being blackballed by the NFL. It’s not Kap’s beliefs about social injustice, says Joe, it’s how good he is.”
    http://www.sfgate.com/49ers/ar…..284461.php
He should be arrested for impersonating a quarterback.

    1. Palin's Buttplug   8 years ago

He was good for one year – before defenses adjusted to the read-option.

I don’t care what you flag-wavers say. That is the truth.

He is worthless in the NFL today.

    2. Palin's Buttplug   8 years ago

      oh, and fuck you, Sevo.

      1. Scarecrow Repair & Chippering   8 years ago

Still haven’t paid up, I see.

        1. BYODB   8 years ago

You gotta have a job to pay bets.

          1. Citizen X - #6   8 years ago

True, “sweaty guy masturbating at the library” is really more of a calling.

    3. Rhywun   8 years ago

I don’t know anything about football but I wouldn’t hire someone that made my team look bad either – that’s money down the drain. And I wouldn’t be afraid to say it, either.

    4. mad.casual   8 years ago

He should be arrested for impersonating a quarterback identify as a woman and dominate the IWFL.

FIFY, right? That’s a valid career option now, right?

  13. Dillinger   8 years ago

de Silva should be sentenced to swim in that nasty bay in Rio

  14. Stormy Dragon   8 years ago

Liu Xiaobo becomes the first Nobel Peace Prize winner to die in state custody since 1938:

Liu Xiaobo, Chinese Dissident Who Won Nobel While Jailed, Dies at 61

    1. Unlabelable MJGreen   8 years ago

Aww. Saw that he was ill, and there he goes. Fuck cancer and fuck China.

    2. Dillinger   8 years ago

      that’s terrible.

    3. Rhywun   8 years ago

We would do well to remember that the CCP remains as evil as ever. They might grace the peasants with a little capitalism here and there to keep them quiet – after all, it’s key to how they’re still in power – but at the end of the day what they say goes and your life is meaningless to them.

      1. BYODB   8 years ago

Everything within the state, and nothing without. But hey, just because they treat their population like cogs in a vast machine is no reason not to trade with them. How else are we supposed to keep our labor costs down without slave labor Communist workers?
