Will Reforming Medicaid Kill People?
Liberal attachment to the worst insurance program in the civilized world is mind-boggling.

These days, it's not just President Donald Trump's ill-advised tweets and jabs—not to mention the latest revelations about Trump Jr.'s hobnobbing with Russia during the election—that have become a distraction from serious policy discussions. The liberal habit of trotting out shrill bromides to discredit opposing points of views is making rational debate increasingly impossible too. A case in point is the left's doubling down on the accusation that the GOP's plan to reform Medicaid as part of its Obamacare repeal-and-replace bill—a very imperfect effort that likely deserves to be relegated to the dustbin of history, as Peter Suderman has argued—will result in mass deaths.
If Senate Republicans' plan is enacted—a big "if" at this stage—federal Medicaid spending would drop from $4.6 trillion between 2018 and 2026 to about $3.9 trillion.
This reduction is hardly draconian. Given that liberals want health care spending to go in only one direction—up—it's hardly surprising that they'd fight this. But how they do so matters. And their claim that the cuts will kill Americans—about 208,500 over the next decade, per a Vox analysis—is pure sensationalism.

my eyes are bleeding from that title.
It's your daily koan. Meditate upon it.
Nice. Medicaid will kill Keeping It. Medicaid will kill Keeping It. Medicaid will kill Keeping It.
An opening sentence that is pure Shikha.
Oh well, at least she's been pulled off the open borders desk.

Maybe if people stopped calling it health care...
Intentions and perceived fairness matter to the Left. Results, not so much.

What I would recommend in replacing medicare and medicaid is to have the churches replace the government sanctioned healthcare in the USA for a couple of reasons.
First, the Mormon and Roman Catholic churches are some of the wealthiest entities on this planet. The Roman Catholic Church's money goes back centuries, and even the Vatican will not tell anyone how much it is worth. Perhaps this is why, at one time, they refused to have the Vatican Bank audited. The Mormon church here in the USA is a very wealth entity as well.
Secondly, Saint Peter said, "Feed your flock." In other words take care of your people. That would also include the poor, the sick and the less fortunate. If these two churches are Christian as they claim to be, then they would make health care for the elderly, the mentally and physically handicapped and those with pre-conditions welcome in their hospitals while simultaneously picking up the tab and serving God as they are supposed to do.

Working as designed.
Trump won and the left cannot stop him dismantling parts of the government, so they try and distract Congress from dismantling parts of the government.
Its working. Those cucks in Congress are scared of a Democrat minority.
Fun fact: Everyone is pre-programmed to die in their genetic code at 'x' time.
Medical science is the science of subverting that internal death clock.
People can die earlier than that death clock says as a result of their personal choices, environmental factors, or violence, but we all have one thing in common; we die.
Medicaid, and programs like it, are the method of bending the cost-curve upwards for everyone to help out a small fraction of overall people see a doctor. This is on top of the cost of the program itself, which lowers income for everyone with a job.
The people who are for programs like Medicaid then look at the upward cost curve, which is the 'shared payment' everyone makes to support programs like Medicaid, and say we need more programs like Medicaid to bend the cost curve upwards even more because 'market failure'.
Retards. It's a sea of retards.
