Brickbat: Ain't That a Kick in the Ass
U.S. Air Force Medical Services has warned patients who had colonoscopies and endoscopies at an Air Force medical center in Qatar between 2008 and 2016 they may have been exposed to HIV, hepatitis and other blood-borne disease. Officials say equipment used in those procedures was not properly cleaned.

Terrible.
The same thing happened to my car.
Why is USAF doing colonoscopies in Qatar? What possible medical mission do we have there? If you are TDY in Qatar and you need a non-emergent butt scope, it would literally be cheaper to just fly you to Germany and back.
If they are doing emergency scopes, I assume that means there are surgical assets there to support that. Which, again, is a massive waste of money and grade-A mission creep. Talk about trying to polish a turd.
something something military something head up their ass
a non-sterilized head, at that
Just the non-sterilized tip.
Except this time everyone lost.
Al Udeid Air Base
I know. Still a goddam waste of money.
the military frowns on moving people around. Having people come and go off base or not work for several days is more expensive/frowned on than having staff there to support medical needs.
Any major base has a hospital that can server any medical need so its not a waste of money or time.
If you have the staff for emergency needs….why not use them all the time?
Have a gastrologist for the 3 emergencies a year….and what? Have him sit there doing nothing while you pay him 180,000 a year?
You really don’t understand military missions and budgeting.
No reason to have a fully functioning hospital and never use it.
I don’t know but I’ve been told
Air force wings are made of blood borne diseases
I don’t know but it’s been said
Army wings are NOT made of blood borne diseases
Sound off
….
Ya forgot the Navy, shame on ye! Ah will now correct yer oversight…
The cabin boy, the cabin boy,
The dirty little nipper!
He lined his ass
With broken glass
And circumcised the skipper!
(Relevant question: Were the glass shards properly sterilized first?!?!)
Being sailors, I would presume the shards were obtained from smashing a rum bottle.
Or Engineroom hooch.
“Engineroom Hooch” was my nickname when I was in the military!
quick, let’s put government employees in charge of everyone’s healthcare
Your plan doesn’t go too far enough, I say put govt workers in charge of the sun rising each day. Now, obviously they can’t control the motions of celestial bodies, so thankfully we’ve invented these handy LCD-shutter blinder caps everyone can (read: must) wear. As an accessory, we have this ingenious robotic girdle that controls your breathing too.
