So..... they arrest him for supporting Fethullah Gulen.
And he plays for the Oklahoma City Thunder.....
Does that mean that they arrest supporters of the Oklahoma City Thunder next?
If they publicly support Gulen, and then travel to Turkey, yes.
I think Erdogan has established he will arrest anyone he sees fit at any given moment.
Such a shame. I've always wanted to vacation in Turkey. It looks like a beautiful country with a ton of interesting history. And for a long time it had looked like it was trending European and liberalizing at a decent pace. Now, you couldn't pay me enough to visit.
Do you want to become a strong-man ruled third world shithole, Turkey? Because this is how you become one.
Did you not see Midnight Express???
I have not, but I do know all the jokes about Turkish prisons. I wasn't too worried because I don't have a habit of trying to smuggle drugs into or out of the countries I visit.
It takes more than that to not be a drug smuggler in some places. If some tyrants (including our own) decide you're a drug smuggler, then drug smuggler you are.
Stealing the exact same tweet President Trump sent to those in Congress calling for impeachment.
