  1. President Donald Trump is expected to announce today whether or not he is pulling the U.S. out of the Paris Agreement on climate change.

I look forward to that tweet.

    1. Hello.

“President Donald Trump is expected to announce today whether or not he is pulling the U.S. out of the Paris Agreement on climate change.”

      DO. IT.

Unless he calculates it’s better to stay in it to keep the cultists off his back.

      1. Trump cultists on one hand, global warming cultists on the other …..

And with such small hands. What a fix he’s got himself into. Come back next week, same time, same batshit crazy channel.

    2. 2 days of “Trump pulling out” headlines and not a single sophomoric sex joke have I seen. I guess it’s up to me:

“President Donald Trump is expected to announce today whether or not he is pulling …out of Paris Agreement…”
and who he intends to splooge upon.

      1. [vomits, cries]

      2. I was trying to work in something about “stealthing” but I couldn’t make it work.

  2. Former FBI Director James Comey is expected to testify next week before the Senate.

On what it’s like to find himself suddenly back in the Democrats’ good graces.

    1. I’ve sung it before and I’ll sing it again: Comey Comey Comey Comey Comey Comeleon.

      1. Comey Comey Down Doo Bee Doo Down Down

        1. Yeah let’s nip this in the bud right here.

          1. Nip it. Nip it good.

          2. Comey don’t play dat.

  3. Former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama have purchased an $8.1 million home in Washington, D.C.

Man, “serving the people” sure is a lucrative gig.

    1. They’re certainly, um, organizing *that* community.

    2. DC is such a charming place to set down roots. Good for them!

      1. You didn’t expect Obama to return to his community in Chicago, did you?

It’s dangerous there. Fifty-two shot over Memorial Day weekend. His work there is done.

Obama promised to do for America what he did for Chicago.

Community organizing is all about cultivating the soil, planting seeds, and carefully watering and fertilizing the young, sprouting plant. Once it takes root, the plant can be flourish on its own.

        1. He’s an all-talk bull shitter in it for himself. Always was.

        2. DC is dangerous too, but it has it’s safe (i.e. rich) areas and I bet Chicago does, too. The real reason he’s staying is probably because DC is where all the sycophants he’s collected over the years reside, and his ego can’t stand to be away from their stroking.

          1. it has it’s safe (i.e. rich) areas and I bet Chicago does, too

Sure, but it helps to have a team of armed secret service agents protecting you for the rest of your life just in case.

    3. I guess he isn’t from Chicago after all?

    4. On his loan mortgage loan application:

Estimated income: Shit tons of cash, bro.
Income source: Kickbacks and bullshitting, bro.

  4. Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler urged those planning to participate in Sunday’s demonstrations to ‘exercise common sense’

But not when deciding which governmental policies you support.

    1. Or who to elect as Mayor.

  5. President Donald Trump is expected to announce today whether or not he is pulling the U.S. out of the Paris Agreement on climate change.

Sacre bleu? More like Sacre orange.

  6. “Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler urged those planning to participate in Sunday’s demonstrations to ‘exercise common sense’ and ‘reject violence’ after federal officials announced Wednesday that they will not revoke the permit for a pro-Trump free speech rally set to take place across from City Hall Sunday.”

You know who else turned a passive eye to fascism?

    1. Helen K….never mind.

      1. Oh, terrible!

  7. Former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama have purchased an $8.1 million home in Washington, D.C.

The swankiest of beer summits to be held there.

    1. Is Obama’s mother in law still living with him?

    2. I thought he and his butt boys claimed that they were only staying in town until the kids graduated from high school! ROFLMAO. Only a fool ever believed that bullshit.

      1. Fact: “ROFLMAO” is actually a noise that Simple Mikey makes from time to time.

  8. President Donald Trump is expected to announce today whether or not he is pulling the U.S. out of the Paris Agreement on climate change.

Who has no expectations has no disappointments.

  9. Former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama have purchased an $8.1 million home in Washington, D.C.

Hopefully he reads about this in the paper before the movers show up!

  10. Former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama have purchased an $8.1 million home in Washington, D.C.

Unlike Hillary, they knew how to leave the White House not dead broke.

    1. That explains why they didn’t need to steal the china and silverware on the way out.

  11. The National Spelling Bee finals will be held tonight.

    WE WNAT THE CUP!

    1. Your word is “covfefe”.

      1. Can you please use that in a sentence?

        1. “I just did.”

    2. A perfect time to bring back this gem. Kid has to spell the “n” word.

      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AsFCSvqsqFA

  12. Has Reason written one word yet about the recent revelations of the Obama administration doing a kind of reverse COINTELPRO and weaponizing our intelligence agencies against their political enemies, or have they completely ignored it (as I suspect)?

    1. Simple Mikey doesn’t know how the SEARCH field at the top of the page works. Sad!

      1. So, no they haven’t then, just like I thought.

        1. “Thought” is not the best word to describe anything that’s ever gone on between your ears.

    2. They do everything they can to ensure that you will stop visiting their site, and yet…

      1. Seriously though, you would think that the news of Obama running his own personal COINTELPRO operation would be considered at least somewhat newsworthy around here, wouldn’t you?

It looks highly likely that laws were broken at some of the highest levels, and it’s certainly one of the most blatant abuses of power in our history. The man is even more Nixonian than Nixon himself.

        1. Seriously though, everyone dislikes you and your idiotic tirades. You would think that even someone as mentally damaged as yourself would eventually get the point.

          1. Fuck off, you Obama dick-sucking fruitcake.

            1. If you hate Simple Mikey, you must therefore love Obama and dick. It’s so simple!

          2. Regardless if DD has any friends, what flaws do you find in his inquiry?

            1. “NSA Panopticon That Invites Abuse Gets Abused” isn’t exactly news – not even to Reason, contra Simple Mikey.

            2. If you go ahead and click on that link “Citizen X” just posted a couple of minutes ago, you’ll notice that the newest story in there was back on March 24, more than two months ago.

In other words, there’s still absolutely nothing at all about the specific details in the new revelations that have just been discovered within the last few days. Why?

              1. Why?

Because they don’t cater to deranged lunatics?

              2. Because the information isn’t really new, you hysterical goon.

    3. If you want wild conspiracy theories that Obama is going to put you into camps and confiscate everything you own, then Breitbart is over there —>

    4. Political enemies like Seth Rich.

  13. “Former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama have purchased an $8.1 million home in Washington, D.C.”

Gee, Barry. Did you build that? I thought capitalism never worked, like, ever. And at what point is enough, enough? Right Barry? You disingenuous left-wing hypocrite.

This guy did nothing but rail against capitalism for eight years with his shallow, little smart-alec quips but it all worked out for the activist community organizer……thanks to FRICKENCAPITALISM.

    1. I can’t wait to see his vacation home in Hawaii and his residential home in Chicago. The DC one is his working home. He writes the entire house off as his home office.

      1. All tactics he’d denounce will in power.

        THAT’S why I can’t stand leftists.

      2. The ENTIRE house? Bro, do you even 1040?

        1. He didn’t build that house. Therefore it’s a public good that the light-bringer use the ENTIRE house as his office.

    2. I’m not certain whether raking in piles of cash from sycophants looking for him to hook them up counts as “capitalism”?

      1. Wealth is fine, as long as you or your ancestors didn’t work for it.

    3. Hey, he did other stuff besides rail against capitalism! For instance, he also blew up a lot of people, including American citizens, with flying death robots.

      1. And nary a mention about rising sea levels the last 8 years.

    4. Oh c’mon. I didn’t vote for Obama either, but calling him “anti-capitalist” is a bit of a stretch. He was the guy after all who bailed out the banks.

      1. Sure, bank bailouts are capitalist, as long as you don’t know what “capitalist” means.

  14. The winning words in 2016 were “gesellschaft” and “Feldenkrais.”

“‘Covfefe’? Could you use it in a sentence?”

    1. Wait, they’re handing out straight-up proper nouns now? This seems a good place to vent about how goddamn stupid “spelling bees” are. They are only of interest due to the mongrel nature of English. Oh well, I guess aspy weirdos deserve a prize for something too.

      1. Even better. Looks like Feldenkrais is a registered trademark. I wonder if they sponsored the bee.

      2. Of all the competitions you could put your time and energy into in your youth, spelling bees do seem like about the most useless.

    2. WTF is the point of having a German word (gesellschaft) in an English spelling bee? I guess cats are living with dogs now and the points are made up and don’t matter.

      1. Apparently it’s a term of art in sociology (I had to look it up because I was going to make the same complaint). Because that’s totally something an eight-year-old is going to run across.

    3. No, but for Feldenkrais:

Jimmy is so clumsy.. (how clumsy is he?).. He’s so clumsy, if he tries to walk and chew gum, he often trips and Feldenkrais.

  15. The National Spelling Bee finals will be held tonight.

I hope they don’t ask someone to spell business.

  16. Moonbeam directs the CA Foreign Minister to open talks regarding the Paris Agreement:
“SACRAMENTO ? Gov. Jerry Brown on Wednesday called on states to forge an alliance to support the Paris climate deal following reports that President Trump plans to withdraw the United States from the landmark international accord.”
    http://www.sfgate.com/bayarea/…..186501.php

And then Moonbeam is a but gullible, shall we say:
“Gov. Jerry Brown: While Trump is `AWOL,’ China is emerging a climate leader”
    http://www.mercurynews.com/201…..te-leader/

Hey, China is ‘on its way’ to reducing coal use sometime.

  17. Glenn Reynolds: The Obama administration’s illegal spying may have been worse than Watergate.

Reason is probably going to ignore this story, so you really need to read this. And Congress should investigate this immediately.

      1. They’ll do everything they can to bury this story! Thankfully, we have Mikey to enlighten us.

    1. Not that i’d be shocked if Obama did build his own personal spy ring, but Simple Mikey is not a credible source for anything, on account of he is a simple, dumb, paranoid, angry man-child.

      1. It’s a link to a story from Glenn Reynolds, you illiterate fucking retard.

        1. I read it, you human-shaped sack of garbage, and there’s nothing in it that says you’re not a moron, so what’s your point?

        2. I hate to say it, but Glenn Reynolds is going further and further down the Trump Train.

    2. This debacle also raises serious questions about the viability of our existing “intelligence community.” In the post-World War II era, we gave massive power to the national security apparatus. In part, that power was granted in the belief that professionalism and patriotism would lead people in those agencies to refuse to let their work be used for partisan political purposes.
It now seems apparent that we overestimated the patriotism and professionalism of the people in these agencies, who allowed them to be politically weaponized by the Obama administration. That being true, if we value democracy, can we permit them to exist in their current form?

OMG! YOU’RE RIGHT! HOW COULD REASON DARE COVER UP THIS FRESH NEW INFORMATION??????

  18. Bono doesn’t want anyone to make filthy lucre off of US concerts:

“U2 concert-goers wary of anti-scalping technology after delays in BC”
    http://komonews.com/news/local…..lays-in-bc

    Well, maybe not “anyone”, really…

    1. I’ve never understood what anyone has against ticket-scalping.

      1. pulling a guess from thin air, I would say venues are concerned about scalpers selling forged tickets that can make it past the gate. I haven’t been to a concert this century, so I don’t know if that’s even still a technological possibility.

      2. The “fraud prevention” is what they advertise, but the reality is they don’t want people making extra money off the tickets without giving the venue its cut.

  19. Is spelling still a thing? Can’t you just look up words on Google?

Just teach the kids the difference between “reins” and “reigns” and I’ll be happy.
