I don't really disagree with any of the aforementioned. The Russians wanted JFK elected as well, and worked to make that happen. That's how things work.

He could delivered on at least some of the promise by vetoing the ACA. Unlike "universal health care" which is a pipe dream that never has existed, "not drastically changing the regulatory regime" is a realistic and deliverable goal.
