A judge in Madrid, Spain, has banned a bus with an anti-transgender message on it from driving city streets. The judge said the message on the bus, which had been chartered by a Catholic group, was discriminatory and could provoke hate crimes.

I recall reading an anthropologist writing of an African tribe, Xhosian as I recall, where a young man beat up and murdered too many people? So some other tribesmen killed him. I get your point, but I have to disagree with your "waste and inefficiency" misunderstanding of the situation. To judge whether or not something is wasteful and inefficient, you have to look at what its intended purpose is. If you look at the program for providing low-income housing in terms of providing low-income housing, it looks like it's wasteful and inefficient and actually counter-productive - but if you look at the program for providing low-income housing in terms of providing jobs and power and lucrative opportunities for graft and corruption to government parasites it's a huge success. There's no money being "wasted" in imposing government control and allocation of scarce resources, that money goes straight into paying for the rent-seeking developers and the controllers and allocators and their insatiable appetite for power.

Actually, at the risk of being burned at the stake, that's true. Males have penises, females have vaginas. The human male sex has penises, the human female sex has vaginas.

There are exceptions though. Intersex individuals can have both or neither.

But we're not talking about intersex here. The transgender issue has nothing to do with biology, everything to do with language. Some boys want to be girls, and it's not fair that they can't be girls, so they get to be girls. And off the gas chambers you go if you disagree! "Gender" used to be synonymous with "sex" when referring to one's sexual gender (hence the word "gender"). Now it's a personal choice.

There are exceptions though. There are people who are both/neither male nor female. That's why this issue is not a clear as it should be. I do have sympathy for those who parents made the choice for them. But they should not be used as pawns in this "He can be a she if she wants to!" war.
