Education Secretary Betsy DeVos was physically blocked by protesters from entering a Washington, D.C. school.
She can home secretary.
Hello.
Bonjour!
Hola
Amateur 😀
He did it better than both of those.
You win.
I freakin' love the stooges.
Hello again.
Why have a classic when you can have an unnecessary punk cover?
Oh, you like covers?
That's quite a beard braid.
Ja. I've seen a few of his, he's got a funny streak.
Hello?
I'm your Huckleberry
Who could forget them? *drops 4 way
Evidently you're an educated man. How I really hate you.
Danger 5, S3 E1 P5, the conclusion so thrilling that it briefly borked HnR itself.
On request, links to the previous four parts are included as a sub-comment. Don't say I didn't do anything to cheer you all up in these trying times.
Before I read this, I need to know what the rating is, on a scale from X to SF.
Definitely a skull icon. Or possibly a 5.
Wouldn't the time Hitler spent lying on the servers age him by more each day than the slight amount of lateness that the articles have been delayed that day would unage him??
Or... wait!! That's it!! That one day that Reason failed to post links!! Those links are STILL technically late, by at least 24 hours each day!! So that alone is enough to halt his aging, with the link lateness than unaging him!! It all makes sense!!
Uh, yes. Yes. That is definitely how it works, and fully what I intended.
Fist is Hitler? I knew it! Good job, Colonel.
Ivanka Trump's father-in-law is reportedly among those bidding for ownership of the franchise.
Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse for them!
Trump himself could buy the team and he still wouldn't be nearly has hated as Loria is.
$1.6b for MLB's welfare queen? There's no way that's a good deal. Nobody ever cared about the Marlins.
Move the franchise to Havana. Cubanos would go nuts for the MLB Havana Sugar Kings.
Houston mayor Sylvester Turner is unfazed by the Trump administration's threats against sanctuary cities, says "Mi casa es su casa."
Literally?
They never mean it literally.
Literally never.
OK, Sylvester. I'll be right over. What's for dinner?
In a sad sign of the times, Paris plans to install a "permanent bulletproof glass wall" around the Eiffel Tower.
And you know the old saying: "Walls keep bullets out, but they also keep bullets in"
Let my bullets go.
Those who live in glass houses should not shoot bullets.
Clearly, Shikha needs to explain to France how more immigration will fix this.
"In a sad sign of the times, Paris plans to install a "permanent bulletproof glass wall" around the Eiffel Tower."
Are people trying to shoot the Eiffel Tower?
The Eiffel Tower identifies as a skittish bank clerk. Stop being so insensitive.
Male or male?
Look at the way it thrusts itself into the sky triumphantly!
Also, don't think you've got a shot. He's already married.
You see a penis, Jesse, and I choose to see a giant clitoris.
The key question is how it identifies itself.
A few years ago I came round a corner while hiking in Daegu and was suddenly overlooking their stadium. My immediate thought was "huh, so that's what vaginal architecture looks like. Especially with the little pylon thing at the top of it.
+1 lil' man in a canoe
I choose to see a giant clitoris.
Whatever you keep telling yourself, CMW.
"she claims to have a physical relationship with a piece of fence she keeps in her bedroom" a well polished fencepost no doubt
This seems relevant.
Roger Moore is easily my favorite 007.
Same here.
Connery and Craig, hands down. *whips monkey-fist into chips'(both) nuts

Now I'm not. *hits button on watch and Chipper bursts into flames from satellite microwave cooker I usually use for bacon
If you meant 'least favorite' I agree with you.
Timothy Dalton was the worst, I think we can all agree on that.
Why on earth would you ever try an escape by climbing up a monument with only one exit? I mean, unless you're planning to do a BASE jump.
Also relevant.
Good luck building a wall to stop that Frogs; I mean, you had such success with the Maginot.
"No wall!!"

"Boy we're good!"

Second Amendment gets another champion and hecklers get their veto stamp renewed.
It's right things all the way down!
Goddammit, why didn't you correct me. I meant First Amendment.
You were right the first time.
The school was required by federal law to allow him to speak, they didn't do shit except what they were required to.
The hecklers won.
I heard they are making Muslims pay for it.
With an alcohol tax?
C-4 tax.
Wouldn't it be easier to build a glass wall around the banlieues instead?
A gang rape tax.
Wouldn't it be cheaper to install a mime wall? It IS France...
Makes sense, really. Can you imagine if the Eiffel tower got shot?

To fight and undeclared war, of course, of course.

Its almost 5, so they are off to the daycare to pick up their illegitimate children
*slow clap*
That one left a mark.
Everybody has to shave their head, problem solved.
(this may or may not be my method of maintaining the GROOMIN' STANDARD)
Equal standards are considered sexist.
Why are the hair styling regulations different for women and men? Shouldn't everyone just get a buzzcut or whatever the normal thing is? That would be even easier to maintain than braids or dreads.
+1 GI Jane
Originally it was probably because women did not need to have utilitarian standards in the limited jobs available. Today, I have no idea. Because they have the right to look prettier?
Maybe we should be happy about this, it might be the start of AMC really taking to heart the maintenance gripes of their operators.
Shut up and hit the EFCS reset button.
Skeletor interviewed Mer-Man, and one of them said penis!
That's not Ann Coulter.
That's who I thought, too! Mer-man was a mystery to me.
It's Crusty. He's gonna link to Dunham at least once during PM Links.
There is no reasoning with a man in the bowels of love.
How interesting!
You're welcome!
Mer-man?
"Oh, come on!"
Dunham mockingly threw up ... jokingly telling the 61-year-old journalist former First Lady of California, "I won't be coming back!"
Oh dear, whatever will they do?
I was hoping for Eugene Mirman
In my mind, Fist of Etiquette IS Eugene Mirman.
But he identifies as Ethel Merman.
It's not over until the Fist Lady sings.

I remember when this show premiered, all the SJWs were protesting it because it was too white and problematic. I'm not sure how she suddenly became their queen. I demand a do-over where it's canceled after a few episodes and we never have to be subjected to her.
He-Man is on Netflix now. Not the Masters of the Universe movie, the actual cartoon series.
I might check that out. Or I might make a special point not to. I watched that show as a kid. But I suspect that it isn't one that would hold up all that well if I watched it now.
Actually my wife & I smoked a bowl and had a laugh riot watching the first few episodes.
It's great as long as you know going into it that it's awful, and that's what you're watching it for.
In the very first episode, a fucking meteor was described as having grown evil from loneliness when another meteor that it used to travel with was taken away. It's wonderful. To people like me who devour z-grade movies.
Betcha you really get off on Plan 9 from Outer Space...
It's not bad. I was watching it on Amazon Prime a few months ago. I burned through all of the Gummie Bears just before that on YouTube.
Dashing and daring, courageous and caring...
Next thing you know tree dwelling talking bears are feeding children performance enhancing drugs.
Have you seen the new Voltron on Netflix? I enjoyed it.
I didn't realize it existed. I'll have to give it a look.
I will second it. Probably the best version of Voltron.
Agreed. Good stuff.
I'll get in on the praise, too. It has Murray in it, so it's already great.
It's ok when they do it, because it's part of their culture. After all, if memory serves, magic and mystery is part of their history.
Indeed, along with the secrets of gummieberry juice.
Gummi Bears is kind of dark. I tried rewatching it recently and stopped after a few episodes because it's kind of a bummer when you understand what's going on.
Prog friends have been sharing this meme incessantly. Curious as to how y'all think I should respond that they might actually listen to.
So a picture which looks like it was taken on a misty morning and another taken with a sunny blue sky is suppose to mean what, that the science is settled?
Duh everyone knows the world changed from sepia to full colour in 1974...
I believe that's spelled "Dh", dave.
Nixon's men were actually breaking into the Watergate to get the full color palette, but the government made up the DNC cover store so they could retint old photos and make it seem that America had the colors that much longer before the Soviets.
DoE before Jimmy Carter and DoE after.
If you want to be really cheeky, do a before an after of the twin towers and mention the travel ban.
You mean the travel ban that does not include Saudi Arabia?
That's why I said cheeky. They won't listen, so post something equally dumb.
A travel ban on Saudi Arabia sounds great. Let's make travel bans great again.
no no, the muslim ban.
omg, beverage came out my nose from that.
China is worse than that today. We're falling behind.
We mustn't allow an air pollution gap!
Yeah, I was going to say 'Beijing 1973' and 'Beijing 2017' 'Because massive government regulation really helps the environment.'
But they would just reply that China is now capitalist, and that's why.
And the US isn't?
1) Different angles
2) Different times of day
3) Different lighting
etc.
Oh. Never mind.
I'll be sure to share it with anyone who says environmental regulations aren't necessary. Let me know when you find one.
Or does the caption refer to people who think that environmental regulation today is excessive or based on flawed premises?
Ask them to count the number of factories in each photo.
Nobody said that ALL environmental regulations are bad.
Just 98% of them.
It looked worse than that yesterday. You could barely see 50 feet ahead of you!
I had to drive in that. At 5:30 AM. Fun.
Best response is something most New Yorkers remember:
FORD TO CITY: DROP DEAD
Lack of Federal help cleaned up the city. You're prog friends won't understand, but at least you can tell them to DROP DEAD.
I'd point out that no one is really trying to get rid of all environmental regulations and that most of them have nothing to do with the real environmental improvements that have happened since then.
This is something I've been meaning to research, since "Clean Air" acts seem to be the go-to example of "good government regulation."
I suspect that, like the trans-fat bans that were being discussed, market forces were already producing this change, and government jumped in with a law that it made it look like they were the drivers of the change.
Of course, I pulled that idea out of my political prejudices, so any research is likely to be tainted by my own confirmation bias, what whatya gonna do?
Well, government bans do "work" in the sense that a rigorously enforced prohibition will reduce the occurrence of the target item, so I wouldn't be surprised if a few of them have produced better results under the shotgun theory of "shoot enough and eventually you'll hit something". A single government ban having positive results in no ways justifies any other bans, as every one will have different practical, financial, and moral considerations that are unique and must be considered on their merits. The clean air act working would no more be a general endorsement of environmental regulations than killing baby Hitler would be a general endorsement of infanticide.
(Of course, I've not researched the clean air act, so I have no idea if it is one of those few beneficial government regulations.)
There's photos of Manhattan foggy today on google. Post one. Or change it to sephia and post it saying it's from 1977. Then later tell them it's from last year.
I would just ask them why they think environmental regulations had anything to do with the development and/or spread of digital photography.
Even if the pictures did prove something, it would prove that environmental regs are SUFFICIENT, not NECESSARY.
Is this supposed to prove that photography has improved enormously since 1973? Or perhaps the benefits of outsourcing all our heavy industry to China?
President Donald Trump lives a sad, lonely existence in "government housing," a.k.a. The White House.
Giving credence to my theory: The sadder your real life, the more vibrant your social media life. (Blog commenting excepted.)
Trump needs to buy a cat so he can grab some pussy when he is lonely
I wish that were true. Both are pretty sad for me.
Miami Marlins owner Jeffrey Loria?widely regarded as Major League Baseball's worst owner?
And if Rolling Stone says so, you can believe it.
It's an objective fact. He's the worst.
In ~15 years as owner, Loria won one world series title.
There are lots of clubs who havent won even one in that time. And the Cubs took over 100 years to get the one last year.
Worst is clearly debatable.
The Wilpons were terrible for decades. Not that I give a shit.
Shouldn't that be "have been terrible for decades"? It's not like they stopped just because Sandy Alderson is clever enough to make it work.
So Musk gets a sweetheart deal on the former NUMMI plant in Fremont (Feinstein and Pelosi worked that deal), puts in a non-union car company which, it seems, has made profits only by peddling the gov't emission certs to other companies, and now finds that the workers haven't learned a thing after causing NUMMI to close because of labor costs; at least one is agitating to unionize. Musk not happy:
"Elon Musk calls attacks on Tesla's working conditions 'morally outrageous' (TSLA)"

"Frankly, I find this attack to be morally outrageous. Tesla is the last car company left in California, because costs are so high. The UAW killed NUMMI and abandoned the workers at our Fremont plant in 2010. They have no leg to stand on," Musk told Gizmodo."

UVic study seeks to shed light on sex work as an occupational choice
Researchers shocked to discover some women exercise their own agency in choosing sex work.
the study's authors admit the sample of sex workers used "is not statistically representative of the population of sex workers in Canada."

The pants made of skin really work, FYI. And my pants made of foreskin are a real hit with the goth ladies.
Leather is technically skin.
But not all foreskin is leathery.
Only at first glans.
:rising applause:
"There are pants made of human skin, which are said to give the wearer unlimited wealth"
That's a rather underwhelming description of Necropants!!
What about the part where the penis-skin and ballsack are still on the 'pants??
What about the part where if you wear it, it is supposed to fuse to your skin forever??
What about the part where your infinite wealth is in the form of gold coins that you need to pull out of the 'pants' ballsack to get too??
What about the part where in order to MAKE necropants, you need to obtain the consent of the dead guy before he dies to use his skin to make the 'pants, and steal a coin from his grieving widow to place in his scrotum after you remove the skin from his body??
C'mon, the whole subject is WAY more disturbing and interesting than just "pants made of human skin, ... said to give the wearer unlimited wealth"!!

Steve Bannon sunk $60M of Goldman Sachs' money into a failed World of Warcraft goldfarming scheme
"Steve, come on, finish your character."
"I can't find the race I want."
"Just pick a human, for christ's sake."
"Aren't all these humans?"
Oddly enough, it turns out that gold farming by major financials was secretly how we actually got out of the Great Recession. The reason for slow growth in recent years has been due to their having to always wait for new expansions so that the level cap can rise...

I thought he said Ebola.
You really had to wade through the article to get to an actual quote from Bannon's speech.
Here is the only direct quote from Bannon's speech - a sentence fragment about "Julius Evola and different writers of the early 20th century who are really the supporters of what's called the Traditionalist movement, which really eventually metastasized into Italian Fascism."
I thought the term "metastasized" is generally a metaphor for the growth of a *cancer.*
You are missing the point. When looking at the right, one looks for any connection with Nazis, no matter how tenuous. However, when looking at the left, one studiously ignores even direct Communist affiliations.
Didn't they teach you to think in college?
Dude, Obama is not a communist just because he was raised by committed Marxists, his various male role models were Marxists, he attended a Marxist indoctrination camp called the Little Red School and his political mentor was a Marxist terrorist. Don't be ridiculous!
OMG I bet he know who Nietzsche is too!
LOL
Here is Buzzfeed's transcript (linked in the article) of Bannon's speech - I presume Buzzfeed didn't edit it to make Bannon look good.
Here we go:
"...When Vladimir Putin, when you really look at some of the underpinnings of some of his beliefs today, a lot of those come from what I call Eurasianism; he's got an adviser who harkens back to Julius Evola and different writers of the early 20th century who are really the supporters of what's called the traditionalist movement, which really eventually metastasized into Italian fascism. A lot of people that are traditionalists are attracted to that.
"One of the reasons is that they believe that at least Putin is standing up for traditional institutions, and he's trying to do it in a form of nationalism ? and I think that people, particularly in certain countries, want to see the sovereignty for their country, they want to see nationalism for their country. They don't believe in this kind of pan-European Union or they don't believe in the centralized government in the United States. They'd rather see more of a states-based entity that the founders originally set up where freedoms were controlled at the local level.
"I'm not justifying Vladimir Putin and the kleptocracy that he represents, because he eventually is the state capitalist of kleptocracy. However, we the Judeo-Christian West really have to look at what he's talking about as far as traditionalism goes ? particularly the sense of where it supports the underpinnings of nationalism ? and I happen to think that the individual sovereignty of a country is a good thing and a strong thing. I think strong countries and strong nationalist movements in countries make strong neighbors, and that is really the building blocks that built Western Europe and the United States, and I think it's what can see us forward.
"You know, Putin's been quite an interesting character. He's also very, very, very intelligent. I can see this in the United States where he's playing very strongly to social conservatives about his message about more traditional values, so I think it's something that we have to be very much on guard of. Because at the end of the day, I think that Putin and his cronies are really a kleptocracy, that are really an imperialist power that want to expand. However, I really believe that in this current environment, where you're facing a potential new caliphate that is very aggressive that is really a situation ? I'm not saying we can put it on a back burner ? but I think we have to deal with first things first."
Sounds reasonable to me.
OMG, this man is literally Hitler x Mussolini!
Thanks for the relevant transcript.
we the Judeo-Christian West
Doesn't Russia also come from a Judeo-Christian tradition?
So he's just saying nationalism can be good, but it could also be bad. This is really more reasonable than half the shit from the right or left.
If you google steve bannon anarcho capitalism you will get dozens of sources claiming he is an extreme libertarian as well.
The fact that Bannon even knows Evola is significant
"NSA advisor Michael Flynn co-wrote a book with Fascism expert Michael Ledeen."
I thought Evola because very anti-fascist later on. He was a traditionalist and pastoralist more than anything else.
* became
I assume we aren't going to apply the same standard to Heidegger.
But the fact that Sedgwick knows Evola is in no way significant.
*throws smokebomb and ninja-vanishes*
I've heard of Nietzsche. I'm sure that makes me a nazi.
I've heard of Aristotle, which I think means I support slavery.
"The fact that Bannon even knows Evola is significant," said Mark Sedgwick, a leading scholar of Traditionalists at Aarhus University in Denmark.
Isn't this guy tacitly admitting that he knows Evola as well, which apparently ipso facto makes one a fascist?
Knowing who someone is = supporting their worldview entirely.

Four arrested in southern France for planning a Paris attack - police
Police and judicial sources said those in custody included a 20-year-old man and his 16-year-old girlfriend, both known to authorities for connections with radical Islam, and said the attack had been due to take place in Paris.
Only because they were caught. If they had perpetrated the act, their motives would have been unclear.
Separately on Friday, a top French judicial body ruled as unconstitutional a law that aimed to catch would-be Islamist attackers.

I was introduced to blaxploitation movies in my freshman year of college when I watched Foxy Brown as part of a class. Man those were some great movies.

Fuck yeah!! I'd be down for a channel of nothing but blaxploitation!! All the ridiculous awesomeness of Wuxia films with a jazz soundtrack?? Epic.
I have a new channel (well new to my network) called El Rey, that's supposed to be geared towards hispanics, but does nothing but show awesome 70s & 80s Hong Kong movies half the time. My wife is having a hard time prying me out of the chair the last few weeks.
And they had "Kaiju Christmas", where for four days over the Christmas break they just played Godzilla movies back-to-back. I smoked $100 worth of weed & it was the happiest I've ever been.
It was founded by Robert Rodriguez, the guy behind movies like From Dusk Til Dawn, and Sin City, which explains their programming choices.
Yeah I looked that up, but the choice of him for a channel that's supposed to be aimed at American hispanics is odd.
Robert Rodriguez has tastes much closer to middle-age middle-class white men than to young hispanics. I wonder if he knows it's people like me watching his channel, and not Jorge down the street.
I'm guessing they figured there were already enough channels that had the telenovela and futbol crowd covered.
I wonder what percentage of black people saw that movie vs others. I suspect it wasn't popular due to blacks.
Blaxpolitation movies streaming; minority women and children hardest hit.

Also Snoop Dogg and Martha are always entertaining together.
Puff,puff...pass, bitch! /snoop
Relevant.
Martha Stewart vs. the Cookie Monster
I would like to see Martha make a dish from some of the Muppets and serve it to them after they taunt her and play a practical joke on her.
It's time for another round of... GUESS THAT OUTGROUP!
Are the Facebook quotes below from alt-right bigots discussing Islam, or from woke college students discussing the alt-right? Sound off in the comments!

"We shouldn't shy away from using state power (when we have it) to suppress people who reject the entire system that we uphold. It's easy to forget that an inclusive state isn't the default way of ordering a society society. It isn't, and inclusive states need to be protected when they exist. They're delicate, and they need active defenders, and if we are in a position to ensure that the awesome power of the police and justice system is wielded to defend it, then all the better in my opinion."

"You also have to remember there is no objective political truth. We invented all of it, as we invented reason. We all decide the society we want to live in, or we let others decide for us. Racism and other forms of oppression are based on unfounded fear of the other. Hating [outgroup] is based on very well documented evidence of their danger to our lives. Reason is what allows us to equate the two at our own peril. We should not be reasonable about [outgroup]."
It's easy to forget that an inclusive state isn't the default way of ordering a society society.
So, Ima say "Yes!"
Both are from lefties.
Something, something kill the bastards....
Ooh, a new version of the perennial favorite Stormfront Or Social Justice?
Second one is definitely Social Justice. The first could be either, but I am leaning towards Social Justice as well.
Stormfront Or Social Justice is a thing? That's great.
1) Idiots 2) Different idiots
2 is definitely a prog.
1 could go either way, but the pro-police thing (while common enough on both sides) makes me want to go with alt-right.
Last Spring, the parent company of Carl's Jr., founded in Anaheim, California 60 years ago relocated its headquarters to Nashville, Tennessee, where there is no state income tax.

Knicks Owner Bans Charles Oakley From Madison Square Garden
No explanation in that link, but here's the actual reason
there is something strangely familiar about it
"He was a great Knick and we hope he gets some help soon," the statement said.
Ouch!
anyone in the Knicks organization is like a double-black-belt in shit-talking
a better link =
Charles Oakley's Top 12 Fights
Is this what we call 'pattern of behaviour?'
Dolan has balls though to ban him for life.
The Knicks are a mess. The Rangers are gold standard next to them.
Oakley is beloved. This isn't going to go well with the fans.
Finally! Barbie To Get Genitalia
Just not the parts you expected
Back in my day Barbies were respectable.
1) ... Not Barbie.
b) Liar.
Fake news.
Made you look
To see Barbie with a dick?
Of course you did.

That is one creepy looking doll. If you showed me that picture and told me it was a prop from Puppet Master 4, I would totally believe you.
There's something incredibly strange about everyone cheerleading Transgenderism as some kind of very-natural choice and almost a personal accomplishment to be celebrated....
...when Transgender people suffer suicide rates higher than anyone in the world, including schizophrenics
I mean, i think people who are trans should get all the support they can - its just this idea that its de-facto a good thing is never even questioned, and it seems to go beyond that to even being 'fashionable'.
(*see the celebrity kids who all want to call themselves 'gender fluid' or whatnot)
But they suffer higher suicide rates because of heteronormative bias and lack of publicly-funded health care. So, once again, it's all the white heterosexual man's fault.
I'd assume that all the positive reinforcement is a (potentially very misguided) attempt at decreasing the suicide numbers.
I wouldn't even begin to know where to start teasing out people with actual gender dysphoria and people who were attracted to the idea of being transgendered because it seemed like the next in a long chain of attempts to fill a void in their life that haven't found the root of. For the former I'm happy to see destigmatization happen at a relatively quick rate and I guess for the latter they'll spend less time before they are disillusioned.
I've certainly had friends who (to my limited observation) fit both categories.
I don't think i'm being especially cynical when i say i'm not sure its that at all.
because the suicides tend to skyrocket later in life (20s-40s); and all the enthusiasm for 'emerging-trans-expression' seems to be everything from pre-teen to college-age - but once they get out of college and join the real world? i'm not seeing nearly as much public enthusiasm, aside from your token Ru-Paul type (which isn't really even trans, i know)
it seems to me that its the thing people are mostly cheerleading is the "nice side" of transgender expression, because its easy and it doesn't actually have to deal with the problems of things like "employment" or "relationships" and the actual difficulties that emerge later in life.
Yeah. I've said it before but RuPaul and the like are not at all "trans" - to the point when one of the "girls" on his show did came out as trans it was a huge deal.
That said... I don't like this rush to deify the whole thing. It's very dangerous. How many of these "trans kids" are just gay and would do *much* better with being allowed to move in that direction rather than being pushed into far less understood territory.
Terrorists can't throw an AK over an 8-foot wall?
Now they need to pass a law banning speech on how to bypass the wall!
Remember how great China is for praising free trade? It's not like Xi Jinping is inconsistent or anything.
Lincoln and FDR criticized the federal courts, too
Trump will have to go considerably further to come close to Andrew Jackson supposedly saying of a Supreme Court decision protecting the Cherokee Indians in Georgia, "John Marshall has made his decision; now let him enforce it."
Actually, Jackson said, "The decision of the supreme court has fell still born, and they find that it cannot coerce Georgia to yield to its mandate."
Yeah, actually the Supreme Court reversed the conviction of one guy - a missionary in Cherokee territory. At that stage there was little for the Pres to do, unless the Supremes issued another order directly requiring the guy's release, but it never got that far - a pardon by the Georgia governor made the situation moot.
But the Supremes refused to issue a broader order against the Indian removal policy - technical grounds, you'd call it.
When's the last story you heard about some horrible injustice against lefties that wasn't actually faked?
What's odd is that they seem completely immune from any "Chicken Little Effect", with zero institutional memory about the fakery, and its like a brand-new story every time it happens.
"When's the last story you heard about some horrible injustice against lefties that wasn't actually faked?"
There was that one. At an airport, I think. Harassment of a Muslim woman with all the makings of those fake stories but with multiple witnesses so I guess that one's true.
But that's the only one. Probably the exception that proves the rule.
Except that there's evidence that one was fake too (or at least staged)
It turns out the person arrested for it was a major political contributor to leftist politicians
The person's name was Robin A. Rhodes.
Dear reason,
Can you please stop using the retarded phrase, "The Age of Trump"?
It's been three weeks, the most it's going to be is eight years.
Even Hitler didn't get an "Age".
I too prefer "The Epoch of the Donald".
Worst indie rock band ever.
I kind of liked their third album, "Quaddrenia of Trump."
They should go for alliteration and call this time period "Dawn of the Donald". Then they can call his lame duck period "Dusk of the Donald".
And the rabid anti-Trumpers can just call the whole presidency "Night of the Living Donald".
Year one AT.
if we are in a position to ensure that the awesome power of the police and justice system is wielded to defend it, then all the better in my opinion.
"What's the point of this magnificent apparatus of oppression if we cannot use it to grind the bones of our enemies into dust?"
Around 6:30 each evening, Secret Service agents gather in the dim hallways of the West Wing to escort Donald Trump home.
WTF? The president knocks off work at 6:30 pm every day? Is that how it usually is?
Fuck you. You'd better be doing something productive pretty much all day every day. Ok, take some breaks here and there, but your day shouldn't end at 6:30 pm. You're not a manager in a cubicle farm. Er, well...
I'd rather my president rock an easy 9-to-5 with plenty of long breaks. The less he's doing the better.
His name gave him away
Wow, aging is a bitch. But it's cool that someone who had a hit song in 1965 is still playing.
Suicide?
The scene was devastating.
"You could hear the sounds of splashing, of blowholes being cleared, of sighing," Morrison told The Associated Press. "The young ones were the worst. Crying is the only way to describe it."
All told, about 416 pilot whales had stranded at Farewell Spit before they were found Thursday night, the New Zealand Department of Conservation said in a statement. Even in a country with one of the highest stranding rates in the world ? about 300 dolphins and whales a year beach themselves, according to marine conservation group Project Jonah ? the DOC says this is the third largest single stranding ever recorded in New Zealand.
I blame Trump.
Yeah! If it weren't for Trump, it would have been the biggest stranding!
I blame blowfish.
I'm shocked that it's not already blamed on global warming.
Whoever suggested Black Mirrors this morning, thank you. Very... interesting premise, so far.
Mirrors
Police forces standing back and allowing thugs to assault those attempting to exercise their First Amendment rights should be considered a First Amendment violation, just as surely as if the police had assaulted them themselves.
I suspect that blocking Secretary DeVos from entering a public school will not do much to change how she views school choice. I would think for those opposed to school choice, the best approach to protesting would be to WELCOME Secretary DeVos to the public school with some razzle-dazzle and show her how great the school is, while, at the same time, blocking non-public school children from attending the school their parents chose for them. The protesters' anger should be directed at the parents and children who made those choices. Secretary DeVos didn't make those choices for them.
