When people call constitutionalists and originalists "right-wing extremists", I always take issue with it because in my eyes, being conservative usually implies being pro-state and pro-government, which is what the constitution tries to limit. In addition, Gorsuch has said that he is skeptical of the commerce clause, which is a huge green checkmark for me.

I think that he's a far better choice than Hardiman or Pryor. Less pro-government than Pryor and a stronger paper trail of him being a traditional constitutionalist than Hardiman. Not quite as good as Janice Rodgers Brown would've been (who is openly libertarian), but it seems like a solid choice for a Scalia replacement from the little that I've read about him.
